    Upgrade from my S7

I had a S7 before our upgrade. I love love love the stylus option! Super helpful for taking notes on the fly and fun for photo editing. The camera is a upgrade as well but I still want MORE (wanted to upgrade to the Note 9 with the remote photo option but I will wait for the 10). Bixby button is absolutely annoying but I'm sure if I tinkered I'd find a useful purpose for it, for now it remains a button that gets hit on accident). Good phone, no regrets.

Switched from iPhone to note 8

This is the best smartphone out there. Easy to use beautiful screen display . I’ve had it now about a month and I am so glad I switched from iPhone to note 8. This phone is very reliable no glitches at all. Fits well in the hand and the finger print scan is in the perfect spot for one handed use. Battery is very good last from 5am until 11pm and I still have about 30% left .

    Not Disappointed!

This phone absolutely ROCKS! It's a BIG phone, but that's what drew me to it. Love the 6.3in display. I have had it about 6wks now. Wanted the deep sea blue, so I kept checking for amazing deals through Best Buy. There is nothing I don't like. Takes awesome pictures. When watching videos about the live focus and slo-motion it does not do justification for this amazing phone. You have to experience it first hand. I have not experienced any lag, studders or hiccups. No random restarts. I keep BT, NFC, Data, GPS on all the time, the battery shines like a new penny. For those of you on the fence about this phone, jump on it!

    Great battery life

I was very hesitant about the battery lasting long enough, my note 5 about not last 12 hours. The note 8 is projected to last more than 24 hours. I am currently extremely pleased. The 6 gb is a great addition as well.

Quite the upgrade from the Note 5

I upgraded from the Note 5 earlier this week and after 4 days of use I can say the speed, display and functionality are far superior. I spent the first 2 days downloading tons of apps and only had to reboot my device 2 times. Fast charging isn't nearly as fast as was with the Note 5. However, the battery seems to hold a charge better. If you're a Note fan this is a must have.

    Nice phone, hugely problematic stylus

This product getting 3 stars instead of 5 even though the phone itself is not "average" because of the egregious design flaw in the S Pen and Samsung's refusal to address it. I love the phone despite it having worse battery life than my 3-year-old iPhone 6 Plus. It's a better phone, so if it uses more battery power to function, so be it. I knew about the bloatware from both Samsung and my carrier that would be basically impossible to remove. So none of that came as a surprise or as a dealbreaker. But I had used it for just a week and a half when the S Pen stylus snapped in two at the juncture between the two segments. I did not step on it, drop it, sit on it, or try to test its limits. Samsung's warranty doesn't cover "physical damage" for "accessories", despite the S Pen being a hugely integral part of the Note 8 experience, so much so that it is literally built into the phone. I am embarrassed for Samsung that its customer service has no procedure in place to deal with potential manufacturer errors in either the design or production of its flagship phone's signature peripheral except to repeat to new customers that they have no choice but to pay to replace a $30 implement not two weeks into ownership of a $1000+ device. I asked whether buying the Samsung Protection Plan would include additional coverage for faulty stylus's but none of the customer service reps knew the answer. The only thing they knew was that even if you bought the plan, it could not be applied via the physical customer service center in Paramus. The whole customer service experience is disorienting and fragmented for someone coming from the world of Apple. When I asked how long it would take to get Samsung's answer regarding this issue, they told me I would have to mail in the stylus and wait up to 3 weeks. So.. out of the first month of owning the phone, I'd be without any stylus (fully or partially functioning) about 75% of the time. Only after that would Samsung even let me KNOW whether it would be replacing said stylus. This is such an unpleasant culture shock that I briefly thought about switching back to the iPhone system, but I am curious to see how Samsung handles the stylus issue going forward.

Good phone not a great deal with verizon

I got the note during black Friday deal for $24.41/month on a verizon 2 yr plan. Sounded great and I went for it but once activated verizon raised my monthly line access fee from $15 to $40!! saying this is part of the bestbuy deal I got!!! So I am now paying $24.41+40=64.41/month *24=$1545.84 for the note 8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do your research before getting in to this deal!! great phone, little too chunky for my liking with few unique things, just not a great deal

I've been a life long iPhone user but once I saw this phone I had to have it . Best decision ever, the note 8 blows Apple out of the water with its platform and technology. Happy with my perchance.

This phone is my main work device, I am on it all the time. The only thing I can say somewhat bad about this phone is the battery. I wish it was bigger but I understand why Samsung went smaller compared to others. With that being said, the battery life is still pretty darn good.

    Great phone, but....

I want to really love this phone. I made the move to Samsung after years of being an Iphone user and was initially quite pleased. Sure, it takes a bit of getting used to but I expected that. I love everything about this phone with one exception, the battery life. The battery is quite a bit larger than the iphone that I just came from so I was expecting it to really last. The battery drains quite fast so I had to place the phone on battery saving mode, which reduces functionality. Not what I expected from a new phone. Other than that, the phone is a great piece of equipment.

NOTE8 BEST YET and Bigger than NOTE7

"It largely merges the Note 7 with the S8 and S8 Plus. The upshot: It's really good, but feels rehashed instead of truly fresh" but still the best on the market

I bought the Note 8 for Verizon unlocked and switched to T mobile. After switching many benefits of T mobile was unavailable like wi fi calling, which is needed for free onboard plane internet. Also, there were software updates that my phone wasn't receiving since it wasn't a t mobile phone. Overall the Note 8 is a great phone but buy from the carrier you are using.
