Went from the galaxy s3 to the s5 and am very happy! Love the screen size and video quality! Downloads are so much quicker than the s3. Thought about switching to the iPhone 6 but just couldn't do it! I had no problems with the s3 and haven't had any with s5 yet(owned for over a month).

Bought this phone almost exclusively for the great pictures it takes. We welcomed our first into the world and wanted to have a phone with a good camera handy. Didn't disappoint!

This is a great phone that has all the options that I need. The screen is just big enough without being too large to carry in my pocket. Great graphics and functionality. I love the Health option. It's nice to see how many steps I take in a day. I have no complaints with this phone.

I owned the S3 before upgrading to the S5. The camera is a major upgrade and the battery life is an upgrade as well. It's very user friendly for even first time smartphone users.

This product is definitely easy to use, fast, durable product. Replaced a couple of devices with this one so far. Camera is super!

I have upgraded from a iPhone to this phone and by far this is the best I have ever used. It gives me great battery life, easy to use, great camera, easy setup and lot of apps.

This is my first smartphone and I really love it. I really don't need a computer anymore (I'm not really attached to new technology) however, I can check my emails, facebook and other important accounts right from my phone. Love the music part of it (Pandora, etc.) Great phone!

My husband loves this phone! He had the S3, so this upgrade was perfect for him because he was already familiar with the software. It's an excellent phone with great picture quality and lots of amazing features!

Had a Droid that seemed to become slower every time I used it. This phone as larger screen, is easier to use and much faster.

upgraded from the Galaxy S3 and this phone is much better. Great features, great battery life. but I don't like the way the home screens are setup. S3 scrolled completely around the screens, while the S5 scrolls to the last screen then you must scroll the other way.

This was my first smart phone as I am a "Senior" to help me learn my daughter put it into "easy mode" for the first few weeks or so to help me learn to use it. I could have left it in this mode and used it as well but I needed a couple of custom apps on it that were not available in easy mode, as well as the camera did not have the zoom option in easy mode. But, we were able to use the widgets to customize it to just what I need. Now I am impressing my friends by using my new smart phone with ease! I would reccomend!

This is an excellent alternative to the S6. It has a removable battery, SD card slot for expandable storage on the cheap, good performance, it's not too big, and has a pretty good camera. I was dreading going to the S6 from the S4 due to the sealed battery and expensive storage options, but the wife suggested the S5 and we couldn't be happier. Some notes though: Like all Samsungs, you need to disable some of the bloatware, especially on Verizon. 2nd, the in-camera HDR slows down the shutter too much as does the night mode. I would suggest disabling both. The HDR also makes the focusing a little 'soft' so the photos are not as pin sharp as they should be. A plus we've found is burst mode. We've captured some pretty impressive shots by the pool with burst mode. Overall excellent purchase. Hopefully the Galaxy S7 or S8 will be a better upgrade in 2 years otherwise we'll be shopping other brands.

The best phone that I ever had and the longest. I would buy this over an Iphone any day. My wife has an iphone and I have always had an android phone I was going to switch to an Iphone but then I figured let me give Samsung a chance and I will never look back.

I am really happy with the performance of my new Samsung Phone. This is my third generation. I started with the SIII. The camera in the S5 is awesome. I have been astonished with the quality of the movies and the photos I have taken. The phone works great too!

The battery life on this is great. I only need to charge it every other day. Compared to my S3, which I had to charge twice a day.

This was the best phone I had ever had up until I replaced it with a newer model [S7]. Never had any of the problems that others sometimes had. Obviously pleased enough with it that when I replaced it I bought another Samsung Galaxy.

I upgraded from a Galaxy S3 to the S5. At first I was disappointed. It was a learning curve. So many settings...and they can make things worse! Do not use Power Saving mode. It will ruin your photos and video by slowing the CPU down. I do not have a 4K TV, so I don't record in the highest quality. I send many photos via Text, so I use 6 meg to save data usage. The photo is fantastic at 6 meg. I do miss the Low Light setting on the S3. Under Video, if you set Smooth Video, it makes it 60 fps; not 30. Unfortunately, it does not stay in that mode. The Samsung rep could not make it stay either. Fingerprint is nice; until you put the phone in a protective cover like Otter Box. Cover blocks using it. Very difficult to read fingerprint. And don't even try it with wet fingers. Will not work! I don't like all the bloatware that comes with it. Overall, it's much better than iPhone. I have a 64 gig Class 10 microSD card in mine; how much can the iPhone user add?? One other thing...I bought this around the holidays and paid $1.06. It's now $600. So I like it very much!

So far the phone has been great. The battery last all day without turning anything off bluetooth, wifi or gps. No complaints yet except for the wireless charging very slow and the phone gets really hot. Not worth the added expense of the adapter and charger.

This is a great phone. I was convinced by my daughters who previously purchased the Samsung Galaxy S 5 and were very pleased with the phone. It is also great that Best Buy has a Samsung support desk and the associates at the support desk are very helpful.

I'm loving this phone. The screen is gorgeous. The phone has not given me any problems during calls. The camera is easy to use and its default auto correction works well right out of the box. There are some things new users you need to know. First, if you get this at Best Buy make sure the in-store Samsung counter is manned, and after you buy it go right over to there and have the Samsung experts help you set up you email and give you a walk-through. It was incredibly helpful for new Galaxy user like me. Second, That gorgeous screen will drain the battery pretty quick. Expect to charge each day for consistent use. I can get 3-4 days of light use when I'm just checking email and sending messages. Third, understand your data plan. Most storage and usage have wifi options like gmail / google cloud to keep you data plan usage down. And I found it easy to set up data plan usage alerts and limits. Fourth, invest in an SD card. More local storage can only help, and its convenient to have a second way to transfer data to a laptop, etc. Now many will already know about these, but I'm new to the Samsung Galaxy, so I wasn't, and found the in-store experts helpful with their advice.
