I have had used phones ever since my brother's Galaxy S3, which I loved. But that broke, had to get my boyfriend's old HTC Droid DNA, which I did not like compared to the Galaxy. And then this cell phone finally went on sale for $1 with a contract and I couldn't pass it up. I love this phone! So smooth, and fast, and the battery lasts forever. Bright screen, great speakers (Better than the Droid's Beats btw) I love the activity tracker that can check stress levels and heart rate. The earbuds that came with it are amazing if you can keep them in your ears. Charges fast and stays charged. Overall extremely happy. :)

Previously had the S4 and this is a great upgrade. Faster, easier to use. I just love this phone, blue color is great. Like the feel of the back, easy to hold. A lot of people say there is not much difference from the S4, I think there is, screen is much more detailed, faster, voice to text and ask google seem much improved. Only thing I am not overly fond of is the charging door, but to keep it waterproof it is necessary. Camera is much better, I was never really impressed with the S4 camera. Highly recommended.

Spilled a glass of water water splashed on the phone and instantly ruined it. Insurance wanted $150 to replace it I only paid 100 what good does it do to have insurance

I love this phone I switched from an iPhone 5 to this thing. Wow huge upgrade! It's zippy fast got a bigger screen. Still trying to get used to android though. But I am learning new things. The camera is great a 16 megapixel camera to be exact. I keep pulling this phone out of my pocket and everyone thinks its an iPhone 6 plus and I'm like nope it's a Samsung! Yes the water proof phone works! I tried it like 3 times and it works haven't gone in the pool with it yet but I'm sure I will next summer.

It is ok and not reliable and too big and cost too much and battery life is bad and it can break very easy and all the aces sores are expensive

I started out this journey as a diehard Apple fangirl. I had an iPhone 4S as well as a couple of other Apple devices. A couple of my friends had done the switchover to Android and I couldn't help but be jealous for all of the nice features they had, stuff like NFC, built-in pedometers, all kinds of choices for everything from apps to unlock screens to keyboards to launchers. I finally gave in and did some research online and in the local Best Buy. I finally decided to jump over and do it. I traded in my old iPhone and managed to pick up a deal where I got a $50 gift card when I bought the phone that could be used on the phone so it was free! I also picked up the fancy Samsung flip-open view case (big mistake). Samsung has an awesome program called SmatSwitch that allowed me to take my backup from iCloud and automatically import everything from contacts to my notes and even all of my free apps! I immediately started using the S Health app and have been tracking all kinds of health stats. The nice large screen was great for watching video and reading articles online and the LTE made my internet connections lightning fast. I also love the camera on this thing. High-res shots and the flash is intelligent enough to actually work when it needs to and not when it doesn't (one thing I sorely hated on my iPhone). The Viewcase on this was horrible. It would cause my screen to freeze up and not allow me to unlock it for as long as 20 minutes. I replaced the case and the phone and it still did it, I strongly suspect the software is just bugging out and won't work properly until it's updated. I've replaced it with an OtterBox and couldn't be happier.

I do not like this phone. Some features are okay to have and it has some cool built in features but overall I feel that the phone is old

I have had this phone for about a week and I really like it. My first smartphone was Samsung Fascinate back in the day and I loved it unfortunately I had to get a replacement after over two years (my own fault). I then tried a Motorola which was very frustratingly slow after a year and a half. When I got my S5 it reminded me how much a loved my Fascinate. I am really impressed with Samsung's electronics lately and am so glad I have an alternate choice to Apple products. I really like the charging port on the S5 - it still fits the smaller universal charger but the port is actually bigger and therefore comes with a bigger charger that charges it super fast. Love the camera/picture quality. The big screen makes it easier for me to read my school documents on. Also - I did the buy online and pick up in store - really great and easy process.

I love this phone! It's beautiful in blue, screen is awesome and battery life is epic. No complaints whatsoever!

They lied to me and now I'm stuck because they won't do anything about it

Got this phone for my wife. She was on my case, and didn't want this phone. She wanted to wait for the new iPhone 6. But I told her she will be happy with the Galaxy S5. Her old phone was a Droid Razr, and she was happy with the new phone. The camera is great compared to the iPhone. The local best buy had an in store comparison, and she couldn't believe the difference. The speed of the phone, along with the battery life is making my wife a 100% believer in the Galaxy S5. Anyone on the fence, DO IT ! Get this phone ! You won't regret it.

After just over a month the camera has stoped working

Wonderful features, BUT would NOT take a charge !!!

Display is great on this phone, speed is awesome especially when XLTE is available. The camera does an absolutely fabulous job even in low light situations. Actually does better than my DSLR camera, and all you need to do is point and shoot. The only thing I would like to see improve is the build quality, the plastic body just feels cheap to me.

This phone is amazing! Coming freshly off the iPhone family there are huge differences. I use my phone heavily everyday since it's my personal/business phone. I make a lot of calls, check emails, sent messages and use the GPS everyday and when I get home it still has some juice left. Unlike the iPhone battery which dies fast. This phone also has a nice camera and editing apps. Overall I'm happy I made the switch. I recommend it 100%!! I have it in the electric blue color, it's beautiful!!

I purchased this phone for my wife as an upgrade. I was initially worried about the size. She was upgrading from a much smaller phone. She had no problems with the size. She actually said she really likes the size. It fits well in her hand. She loves the increased speed the new phone has and the beautiful screen. Kids mode has also been a nice feature that no other device manufacturer has. The only complaint from the wife is the usb 3.0 connector. It is quite large in comparison to the usb 2.0 and a little harder to line up.

I use my phone for email, checking social media & camera, mostly. Occasionally search web & use Google Maps. Am a light user, throughout the day. Yet the battery often dies by the end of the day. My Samsung S3 stayed charged for 3 days, with the same usage. Camera is very nice! Still wish it would have the back light setting. I have had this phone since April 2015. It is my second Samsung and my 5th or 6th Android phone.

i decided to purchase this phone at full retail to keep my verizon unlimited plan, and also because I had bestbuy gift cards to help me lower the price (Verizon Wireless Full Retail is $599.99, where best buy has it for $749.99!!! so i had them also price match it for me) The only things i dont like so far are all the warnings that pop up that i havent figured out how to get rid of, after the first full battery charge, it lasted me 17 hours, and there is a charging slot cover which im afraid im going to break off (there was one similar on the LG Dare I had b4 the HTC Inc 2 i upgraded from to this one)and i like the idea but they always feel very flimsy/easy to break. but i guess if it breaks off, then its just like every other phone for the most part. and while im on the subject of the charging port, Samsung has given the phone a new USB 3.0 style charging port. It still has a regular microusb so regular chargers still work, but it also has a specialized charging port for this particular phone so to keep the battery things the same I purchased a few USB 3.0 chargers on ebay. Pros: I love this phone and how it seems to react to you, the user. the screen is pretty amazing and at 5.1 inches plenty big enough. I have the Otterbox Defender Case and the phone doesnt feel too thick/wide and actually feels pretty light. i havent had much problems with hearing people/people hearing me during phone calls, however answering phone calls seems a bit odd at the moment its set right now. i feel you really have to press down on the screen and drag it harder than you should have to answer the phone call.

For the price I paid was worth it. However couple of things to note if u have an S4 I wouldn't upgrade to the S5. My wife has an S4 and both phones to me virtually identical. I had an S3 and my phone I had 3 years. I was due. The fingerprint scanner to unlock your phone sucks. It doesn't even read your fingerprint good. It takes like 5 tries to unlock the device. I just went back to the good old pattern password to unlock the phone. The USB port cover sucks. It's a pain to remove it to charge your phone. The camera, video quality and speed of the phone is amazing however. Overall a great phone with a couple of flaws.

So I've had my s5 for a year and the s6 edge for about a month... I went back to the 5 because of a few things.... 1. I never used the edge screen, it's awesome but until others jump on the band wagon for their apps, then it's useless. 2. No expansion for memory, call me old fashioned but I like being able to expand memory on my phone and unter chabe batteries if I could. If you want a phone that's awesome, and better on the wallet go for the s5, it has a better selection for cases and the s5 is waterproof, that's right waterproof...
