I am coming from a Galaxy S3. And for the many others who would be in the same position, this is a HUGE upgrade. It is noticeably larger, but not uncomfortably so. I find that it's still generally comfortable to use with one hand, and it does have an option to temporarily shrink the screen if one handed use is needed for those with smaller hands. The stock keyboard is much more satisfying than the GS3, and the separate number row (I think this was added on the S4) makes it my keyboard of choice. The battery life, in my three days of playing with the phone has been great. I'm hardly below 50% at the end of the day, and lighter users could likely make it through two days without needing to charge. Really heavy users, of course, are able to buy a second battery. I haven't personally tested the waterproofness of the phone, but tests posted online support the claims of 30 mins at 1 meter. I've only used the camera a few times, but the shots I've taken have turned out well. The notification drawer is well thought-out, and provides numerous (somewhat customizable) options for quick access. All and all a great product.

After reading many reviews I purchased this phone and could not be happier. Way faster than the Razr Maxx I upgraded from. With correct battery settings the battery lasts as long or longer than the maxx. It is bigger so more difficult to get in and out of pocket, especially with an otter box cover. Every feature is better and has more options. Fingerprint scanner is usable without cover but it is not perfect. I prefer this phone over my wife's Iphone which is more difficult to set-up but I have never owned an I phone so I don't know if that is because the IOs system is unfamiliar to me.

This phone is fast and does it all. By far, one of the best phones on the market. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Screen is crystal clear, takes great photos, blazing fast processor, calls sound clear. I like the fact that you can add memory with a micro sd. I am purchasing a 64gb memory stick to add all my music. The phone was way more then I had imagined. It does everything I have tried. I would recommend to anyone looking to upgrade their smartphone.

This is my first 'smart phone' and I feel real good about my choice with this Galaxy.Samsung offers more bang for the buck than the other phone makers and when it only cost $1 dollar on the Black Friday upgrade offer with Verizon I jumped all over it! I also bought a Tech21 Case for it and a Zagg Glass protection all for less than $50 #phone# included.Don't need to buy any Phone Insurance with Tech and Zagg protection !

My wife needed a phone upgrade; she got the Samsung Galaxy S3 and debated on the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 or Samsung Galaxy S5. She ruled out to get the S5, what an awesome purchase, not only she was eligible for an upgrade, the phone was free, the only thing I had to pay was the taxes, not only saving on the phone, but I was able to save some money towards my monthly bill with Verizon. Awesome deal a win, win situation here. Free phone, cheaper phone bill = awesomeness. What is really amazing about the S5 is the battery life; we have experienced the battery life last longer than 13 or 14 hours vs my Note 3 having to always charging it. I really recommend buying from BestBuy; they are willing to help you in any way. The people at the Honolulu, Hawaii location are very nice and patient.

so ive had this phone for a year now and ive noticed a few issues. the battery life keeps getting worse and worse which is expected but even on standby it will loose like 20% in in a few hours. also ive noticed that the software keeps lagging and is starting to get more buggy. besides this this phone isnt horribl. the camera is fantastic, the screen looks awesome even though its 1080p. i love how this phone offers expandable storage and replacable batterys so if the battery gets bad like mine, you can replace it. over all this phone WAS pretty great i just wish it could hold up overtime....

I love my new phone. The charging port door is a minor inconvenience, but being water proof is worth it. I love knowing that it can handle rain or snow. Tons of other great features, but dust and water proofing tipped the scales for Samsung.

Just got a great deal this week on the S5 upgrade for my son and he couldn't believe it! "An S5? Dang!" pretty much summed it up. He says the difference between his old phone and this S5 are night and day. The camera is a pure knockout that almost makes his Canon useless he told me. Couldn't be better knowing someone is happy with the best deal on one of the leading phones on the market today. Kudos to Best Buy and Samsung for a Great Holiday deal!

Ok I had an s3 . I have had this phone for 3 weeks. Fingerprint reader worthless it tries 5 times but then you end up typing your password. My power button seems to only turn the phone on first push when it wants to. I tried to return it thinking defective but missed the 14 day return by 2 days. so I have to deal with samsung directly. Not happy about this. The screen scratches easy get a protector. There are more scratches in 3 weeks than 2 years on the s3. I don't think it's glass. Heart monitor worthless. Anyway I am not totally unhappy though. I could not go back to my s3 now. volume is great. Pictures look great. Battery better than s3. Fitness software is cool I work outside and it tracks my steps. I went for a bike ride today, put it on bicycle and it was very accurate tracking mileage as I could tell from the mile markers on the trail. The app plays your music thru it and mutes to tell your progress. Kit Kat has a few bugs but it is refreshing enough not to mind it. Email interface is better. Messeging better. Printing from phone better as I no longer have to save the image to print which I love because I used to have to delete so many worthless dowloads that all I wanted was to print them. Few things missing are the world app to get to internet. Now Chrome is only pre-installed gateway. Samsunglink missing. I had to really look for that it's not on play store. If you don't know what that is it is awesome software to access you computers from anywhere easily and reliably. I only have eyes for Samsung because of this. I would have tries HTC one m8. I would wait if you have an s4 because your gonna get kit Kat soon anyway. Phone size is great for me. I have big hands and like a big screen. Apple fans can kid themselves for what 5 years now. I guess they watch an 12 inch TV at home because they like the design. Good luck. I don't think you could go wrong. I paid full price as my upgrade was another few months and I'm smart enough not to do edge. They own me, I subsidize my own phone, they dont lower my bill and they take my old phone which is still worth $175 to sell it.

Since purchasing the Samsung - Galaxy S 5 4G LTE Cell Phone - Charcoal Black (Verizon Wireless) almost a year ago, I have been completely impressed with its performance and durability. Almost a year later, and it is still the best phone on the market.

The Samsung s5 is a easy to use phone so glad I got it, easy to navigate, got my phone and extra stuff for almost nothing because the $150 gift card I got for switching (Special that day) I love my new phone, I was going to wait for the S6 but I needed a new one badly and, I don't regret it.

Love the android phones...I am not a iphone user for sure...to me the features on here are so easy to use. I didn't have to use the manual to set things up :) I do wish the texting was a bit easier though because it sometimes texts different letters then what you pushed..keyboard issues

I got this for my wife to replace her S3. She's very happy with it. It's obviously faster than the S3 but not dramatically so. The call clarity is BETTER and it's a solid phone. The S3 would drop calls from time to time but this hasn't happened with the S5. Both this and the HTC One M8 are very good phones and would be a Clash of the Titans going head to head.

This phone is wonderfully large and very fast. It is state of the art for Spring 2014. Heart rate monitor works well. Fingerprint sensor is a bit finicky about how you slide your fingers on it. So much extra software on top of Android OS that you might not use.

Great phone that works as a minitablet and phone without compromising. Very large screen, easy and nimble with the keys, has every feature possible. Extremely fast with a quad-processor, it is laughably fast compared to my old Droid Bionic. And the camera is amazing!

Really like the Samsung Galaxy S 5 cell phone. Would definitely recommend to others and would purchase again. Sales staff at Best Buy were very helpful in setting me up with this phone. Purchased replacement program from them also recommended.

Switched from iPhone 4 to S5 and loving it. Also have a Galaxy tablet so it makes for a great combo. 45 days in and no complaints yet.
