I've had Apple, LG, HTC and BlackBerry before but never had a Samsung phone. I am SO GLAD I got this phone! It is by far the best piece of technology I have ever used, BY FAR. The screen is stunning, the camera is amazing and the swipe-to-text feature is, well, WICKED COOL! The speakers are better than the iPhone also. I can't think of anything negative to say about this device!

Samsung has done it again. The Galaxy S series has been an amazing phone (unless you're Apple# The Galaxy took off when Samsung released the S3, and since then its just been better and better. The S5 has an amazing 16MP rear camera which is pretty impressive when you compare it to the iPhone6's 8MP... The only phone that is capable of recording in 4K UHD! #You do need a 4K device to watch your recordings in 4K though# The battery life on the S5 is VERY good. If you turn on the simple Power Saver Mode; it will easily last you all day. I get up at 5am for work and usually don't get off til around 3 or 4 and by the time I get off my phone is still at 70+ percent charge. I usually don't have to charge my phone at all through out the day #unless I watch a lot of videos in HD or something like that) but for normal texting/calling/Facebook/etc... the battery lasts all day. This is easily the best phone available right now. The iPhone6 may be newer, but it fails in comparison to the Galaxy S5's hardware and features.

I love this phone it's easy to use and has a large screen which makes everything easier to see and the 4GLTE is awesome and fast. I had a iPhone before and I totally hated it because I would use up my data and the internet would go slow and since I switched to the Galaxy my internet is fast

The phone overall is great. The battery lasts along time. I use my phone as a hotspot at work, which is pretty much on while i'm at work. Still the battery lasts over 24 hrs. I also like that you can turn-off apps that come preinstalled so you don't have to worry about them running in the background. I agree with some of the previous reviews about the speaker phone cracking. It would be nice to have the HTC speakers on this phone.

I am heavy user, and have tried alot of phones, razr,rezound,iPhone 4s, and 5s, Galaxy 3 and 4, The G3 and now The S5. Actually took the G3 back and got the S5. Screen looks great, camera is among the best if not the best, I finally have a battery that's making it through a full day. This phone has a very good battery saver mode that turns the screen b&W (what took so long for this smart idea?) although I haven't had to use it. This phone is about as big as I want (G3 just passes that comfort zone for me). I like how the back helps you feel like you have a grip on the phone. Pedometer and heart rate are surprisingly pretty accurate (you must be in a quiet area for heart rate monitor). Battery charges fast with the USB 3. Here are my complaints. . USB 3 is fast, but also impossible to plug in in the dark. I'd pay extra to have charger to fit both ways like the iPhone lightning, but I'm sure samsung would get sued if they did that. The first week I had the phone I was getting numerous notifications for visual voicemail and Samsung link. Not sure if that is samsung or verizon but was a pain in the rump to figure out how to get them to stop. Love this phone, my favorite yet!!

Great phone overall however I don't think the camera is that good. My iphone would take better quality photos than this, (my opinion as others think it is much better)

Replaced my Note 3 with the S5. It's a smaller screen but water resistant and fits better in my pocket. Only issue is the charging port cover keeps breaking off.

Purchased this phone as a gift for my sister. She absolutely loves this phone. Got it at a great deal for $1 during the Black Friday sale.

I switched from I4 to S5. Big difference! Love the bells and whistles on this phone. I4 boring compared to this. Vibrant color display and great features. I do however have one problem so far and that is the charging port and the backing to install battery. I have professional gel nails and cannot open either. I have to use a flat head screw driver or ask my husband to open it just to charge my phone! The cover to the port is pretty flimsy and fear it will break off some day. Just annoying. Other than that, nice phone.

I have always been a big fan of Galaxy phones, I highly recommend this phone with that price!

Have always had a Droid but this was the 1st Samsung, wow, what a difference! Large, bright screen, easy to use/discover!

Overall, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is the best phone on the market. It does everything you need it to do, and everything you want it to do quickly and easily. I could list the hardware and software features, but the best measuring stick for a mobile device is how it performs in daily use. The Galaxy S5 is fast, easy to use, and attractive. The display is bright, sharp and colorful. The speaker is loud enough to hear in busy restaurants and noisy living rooms. The 16mp camera takes sharp pictures and the software features many useful modes and effects. Samsung has toned down TouchWiz enough for it to perform unobtrusively, with no lag and an attractive design. Along with the 16GB of device storage, I have a SanDisk Ultra 64GB micro SD card in it. 650 songs and several thousand pictures have put barely a dent in the available space. This phone is extremely swanky. Go get one.

We upgraded to the iPhone 5s (from iPhone 4) and were just not satisfied. It seemed we were getting the same thing with minimal upgrades. We decided we had a free 14 day trial period so we gave the Samsung Galaxy S5 a go and we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! So many advanced features that the newest phones don't offer. I am not bashing any other phone by any means, I just find this one fits every thing that I am looking for and more. I wish I would have went this route many years ago! Nothing to lose here and a new appreciation to gain! Enjoy your phone!

The phone is great. You have different types of security options to unlock your phone so thats one way you know it's safe. I had a galaxy 3 so this was a upgrade for me and it has so many more apps and features! I would recommend to anyone wanting to upgrade.

Amazing phone, biggest thing I was looking for in a phone was the screen display and camera quality and this phone has that and so much more!!

the phone uses a lot of data, and programs run on it constantly without you even knowing, even when you close out of them. it was a hard adjustment coming from an iphone- it took about 6 months for texting with iphone users to finally work, and still sometimes it doesn't (9 months later. the best thing about the phone is the camera.
