I keep my phone on Powe Saving mode. This is NOT the one you see a lot of press about where it goes to grayscale. It's in between that extreme power saving mode and no power saving. In fact, I haven't noticed any adverse impact of enabling this feature at all. Colors are bright. Response is great. And I can regularly get 20 hours on one charge with at least 7 full hours of active use. Originally I was concerned I would like such a large phone but I don't even notice its size any more.

Ended up getting one for myself and my dad.. This is only his second smartphone ever and he finds it easy to use and understand.. I use mine for work and the battery life and overall functionality of it is amazing... I would recommend this phone for all areas of the spectrum.. Young and old, tech savvy and not so tech savvy... The folks at best buy Greenwood were fantastic as well!!

Overall love the phone! My only original concern was " flex breaking" in my pocket, sure enough I slipped on ice and exactly my fear came true costing $150 for new S5. Highly recommend an Otterbox type case for the extra protection! And of course an extended warranty. Best Buy Geek Squad is excellent protection

I upgraded from a Galaxy S3 and have been very happy with the decision. The biggest difference to me from the older model is the camera....the S5's is definitely superior. I'm pleased with my choice.

I wish I knew more about the phone. I had to re-sink the phone with my car and it's not operating the same in the car. Games had to start over. I like the camera. Still getting use to all it can do.

I upgraded my wife's phone from the iPhone 4 to this phone and she just Love's it, and the price we paid for it was Great, we purchased it for .99 cents. and the camera takes awesome picture's!!!

Phone has good battery life, nice clear, clean visual display. Only drawback for me was the loss of an actual keyboard, but the slightly larger size screen helped the transition. Super fast speed!

The picture is fantastic, bright and easy to read. It's the perfect size. The faux-rubber backside gives it a better feel. This phone is lightening FAST! When you touch an app icon, it launches nearly instantly. The 16mp camera is also a nice bonus. All in all, I think this phone is more attractive, more responsive, and a better phone overall compared to others on the market.

Gen impressions: a bit awkward for 1 handed operation unless you have large hands, love ultra power saver mode to squeeze the most out of battery life, great camera (though I subjectively feel the lag is not as good as the iphone) Drawbacks: more to do with Verizon than anything. Innate ability to wi-fi tether is blocked to encourage a tethering plan from Verizon. Thankfully options are available in the Play store. Also, the phone is supposed to come with tons of free Dropbox space, but alas again this does not apply to the Verizon version. Lastly, due to the latest Verizon update, when connected to wifi, the 4G radio remains on as a adjunct speed boost, whereas before the 4G radio automatically cycled off to save battery. Now this must be done manually. I know I listed more gripes than compliments, but don't get me wrong, I'm very pleased with the phone, and all its many features are listed elsewhere. I thought it would be more helpful to hear an honest opinion from someone who has been using the phone for the past 8 months.

I absolutely LOVE this phone. I upgraded from the Galaxy 3. The Galaxy 5 takes MUCH better pictures. There are a lot of features on it that I may not use. The battery life isn't the greatest, but it's to be expected. It's super fast and I've had no problems with it at all. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone!

Overall, I love this phone. Some of my old chargers do not charge the new GS5, but some do. The sound quality is great, the picture is great, the features of this phone are great. Upgrading from the Galaxy S3, the size was not a huge deal to me. It really doesn't seem that much larger--and I actually thought it felt lighter in weight. Some of the functions on this phone are different than the previous versions so I'm still getting used to that, but I love my GS5....

Fortunately, I had help learning about my phone from the Samsung techs at Best Buy. Without their help I would have been doomed. There were a few glitches with the phone, but they helped me to get through the difficulties I had. My biggest complaint is with Galaxy voice. I hate it! She keeps thinking that I am talking to her, or that I want to talk to her. The screen comes up without any prompting from me, and interrupts what I am doing, demanding commands! The one command she doesn't seem to understand is to shut up! I have yet to successfully command her to turn herself off! Recently, after an update, she high jacked my phone, and refused to return control to me! After getting help from the Best Buy Samsung tech (he came to my car, and resolved the problem), it continues to be annoying, but at least it allows me to get back to my home page, or to make a call or text without her doing it for me. He said that he had not seen this problem before, and assumed it was some problem with the pairing with the car.

Switched from Iphone to this Android. I don't regret this change, the galaxy is much more user friendly then the iphone. there are more apps to choose from and more useable built-in features.

I got this for myself and my bother when it was on sale on Black Friday. I had a S3 for 2 years and loved it. It's big brother is even better. I don't think I will ever stray away from Samsung.

Best phone ever. So fast and easy to use. The pictures are fantastic !

This is my first smartphone and it is very user friendly. Still some great features I'm discovering. I would highly recommend the Samsung S5.

I had trouble with battery life before, but so far I haven't encountered that problem with the S5. When I have to charge, it charges quickly.

I would recommend this phone to anyone who wants a smart phone with great camera and video possibilities.

I love my S5. I have no complaints with the phone. I love the kids mode and I love that it is waterproof although I have not tested it. The battery lasts a long time much longer than my S3.

Phone is really great. Battery life is way better than GS3. Price is what it is...wish it was better, but I guess this is what they cost today.
