I did my research on this phone vs others like the M8, LG3 & others. This was my 4th choice. If price & availability wasn't a factor, I probably would have chosen the BlackPhone or OnePlusOne lol too much money for me ATM & too many hoops to jump through to get OnePlus. This phone is loaded with features that I wasn't aware of. Like being able to use the phone as tv guide by checking out what's on tv, getting a program description of what's on & even setting up the phone to use as remote to change the channel. I ditched cable tv so I have digital OTA channels through an antenna; there's a scrolling guide on one of the channels but I can use the phone & find exactly what I'm looking for & change the tv channel. In addition to PlayStore apps, Samsung has it's own line of apps. Samsung even has added security in case you lose your device or if it's been stolen. You can play game emulators on it, it takes great pictures & video. What really pushed me to buy this phone was the price $1, and the $35 charge for upgrade on my phone bill, and it's one of the phones available that is water resistant. I work in a wet environment & now I don't have to worry about my phone getting wet like I used to. I bought a fast 64 GB SanDisk micro SD XC card since I have the 16 GB version of this phone & a UAG case for it in case I drop it..I've done that a number of times & everything still works like new. I watch a few videos on lunch & at home. Do some other tasks on the phone during the day & the battery still lasts the whole day. Maybe down to 30% by the time I go to sleep. All in all, a great phone!

Good choice I replaced my I phone and I love it it took me a little to adjust to change but that is more of my issues than the phones

My husband had never had an iPhone. After deciding to purchase the Samsung Notebook 4 for myself we decided to get him the Samsung Galaxy 5. He is very happy with his new phone.

My old phone was outdated. I was very surprised how easy this new phone is to use and how wonderful the camera is. The Video function on the camera is very clear and nice too.

Someday I'll learn how to use everything that this phone does. I was a Die Hard Droid user until I worked with an S4. Upgraded to an S5 as soon as I could and not looking back.

This phone has every feature you need.. a great screen and camera, battery (and theyre replaceable) plus a replaceable memory card. Wish they hadn't changed that with the 6

Only had a short time video quality is amazing, battery last a long time, quick charge.Traded up from an S2, lot of new features, haven't had time to explore them all. No problems

My wife always had our daughters hand me down old phones ,she was iffy about getting a new phone let alone an android now she says what were we thinking this phone is great.

Best screen out there, great camera, great feel, great fingerprint sensor, fast, great IR blaster.

It really does live up to the hype. Great battery life, TONS of great features and capabilities, pretty user friendly if you're even a little familiar with android interface.

Big upgrade over the Galaxy S3. Applications install in seconds. Fingerprint scanner works better than expected for screen locking. Haven't found anything I don't like with the interface. So many options and features for customization to choose from. Battery life isn't bad, but could be better. Having to open the charging port by removing the waterproof cover is a little bit of an annoyance, but I am getting used to it.

This is my second Samsung phone. I am very pleased with it. Though Lolipop needs a patch at this time. Looking at the S6 though I think I might make the change to it soon.

This is my first new phone in many years and it is definitely different from my old phone. However, it has been easy to figure out and I am enjoying all of the features.
