Customers are saying
Customers have good things to say about the Galaxy S 5 Active 4G Cell Phone's camera quality, ease of use, battery life, and screen size. disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's clunky. The swype function is worse than used to be. First two weeks battery lasted all day, now a month later it drains quick. Apps open on their own. Tap on the app to open it and 50% of the time it just flips the screen instead of opening the app. I did tons and tons of research on all the phones currently on the market and.... for me, I chose the wrong device. You might love it. .. but I hate it.

Greatest Upgrade Ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgrading from a Galaxy S2 Skyrocket this phone has only lagged when i put it under extreme stress for example downloading 50 apps at once and of course you have to forgive a device in that circumstance , the back feels good, doesn't look nor feel like a band-aid at all, tested the water resistance i give it an A-, For everyone whos asking " wheres the kids mode?!!" go to you're widget drawer and kids mode is right there place it on your home screen you are going to have to download it ( don't blame samsung blame AT&T) and ta-da its there, battery life is a A+ especially with the ULTRA-POWER SAVING MODE people who complain about it need to calm down what do you think drains your battery ? 1) processor 2) Data 3)Background Apps and 4) your beautiful bright screen. The Mode shuts down all of those just giving you the necessities of a phone calling , texting, web, and 3 other apps with light use and at 10% you can get another days worth of battery if you are out of reach of a charger. next thing is the fingerprint sensor for me it does a pretty good job, i've had this phone for less than a week and iv gotten used to the swiping method pretty fast over time the swiping speed you will get accustomed to so stop complaining I phone 5s users, Camera is amazing, when in a dark room you notice a little bit of a milky blue tone in the photo but its fine, dimension wise the phone is at a comfortable stance for holding in hand even for people with small and large hands its a nice phone to handle has a nice grip, in person the bezels don't look as plasticy or as how to put it.........BOLD as a quick term the bezel is no where close to those terms some people choose. Graphics are great, screen is amazing!, and new UI is much lighter and barely any S lag maybe once ina blue moon but of course i push my devices to the limit, S health is great heart rate sensor is a bit gimmicky but if you use it 5 times in one minute you'll get an accurate reading.Overall the device is a 9/10 if this device had a 2K display like. the oppo find 7 I would give it a 10/10( google oppo find 7 you will be amazed I wish Bestbuy would carry these devices)

Fast, responsive, excellent quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this through Sprint. Great coverage, great speed (I'm lucky enough to be in a Sprint Spark area). Unlimited data through Sprint is a huge thing for me. I've had several smart phones. I tried a mid-range one recently, and realized I was lying to myself -- I need high-end. :) And this phone does not disappoint at all. I haven't found anything negative, except that the speakers are still tinny. Now that I have unlimited data, I'm enjoying I-heart-radio, and it would be nicer to have better sound in the car. But that's minimal. I have a few high-end tablets, and I use this to connect them to the Internet. I was worried about the 5G limit, but with this phone I find that I can comfortably do a lot of what I used to do with my tablet on my phone now. Polaris Office is very good. I was using Next Launcher, but I've found I actually like TouchWiz better. The fingerprint scanner is nice -- I hate having to type in a password to unlock the screen, but I don't want to go with no security. So the fingerprint scanner to unlock is a great solution. Screen resolution is phenomenal -- over 440 ppi, even better than my tablets. True 1080p in a very compact package. Really, aside from tinny speakers, I can't find anything negative to say. I love this phone!

small problems eventually happen
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: great battery life, better than the s4. great camera. awesome "shortcut" button. has a cool green/camo option Cons: if you're a person who likes cases, it's a little tough to find one for it. after having it for awhile, i noticed the same problem that the s4 had, your texts won't come in the correct order. also when you push the home button, it takes you to some google page, i'm assuming it's because the home button has been used too much and is worn down now but overall, i'm extremely happy with this phone

Not great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One of the big selling points of the galaxy over the iPhone is battery life but my new phone doesn't even last as long as my 4 yo 4S. I even keep it in power saving mode and it still barely last the day. Also, the 4G doesn't seem any faster.

great phone, but lots of bloatware
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hardware spec wise, this is a great phone and performs very well. I got this over black friday when best buy had them for $0 when signing up for a 2 year contract. I also highly recommend getting a Samsung wireless charging cover (that replaces the back cover that comes with the phone) to use with a qi charger. This makes charging the phone very convenient and you don't have to mess around with cables. However, the one drawback I'd like to point out (and it seems true of all Samsung phones), is that they really load the phones up with a lot of unnecessary bloatware. There's some stuff that can be hidden, but I would have preferred they not install a lot of the apps that come with the phone. I don't think there's a way to uninstall them without rooting the phone.

Best phone I ever owned
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I traded in my iphone 4s to get this phone the first day it was available in the store. I know I haven't even had it for a week yet but I think this is the best phone I have ever owned. The picture quality is amazing!!! It may be big in size but it is super light which makes up for the size. I love the size of the screen compared to the iphone I can actually see what I am doing now. The 4G LTE is super fast and when paired with the wi-fi I can download an app in seconds instead of minutes and they install just as fast. I love the fingerprint reader and the heart rate sensor. That was a wonderful addition to the phone. so much easier to scan fingerprint than swiping screen and entering 4 digit code when riding (as passenger) in a car on a bumpy road. Thank you Samsung!!!

Great phone!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from the Galaxy Note 1, which was slightly too wide for operating with one hand. The active is just right: still huge but can be operated with one hand, not to mention the newer Android OS, which is more compatible with various apps and devices. I like the built-in case and the actual pushable buttons at the bottom compared to most other androids (including the S5), where you're actually touching the screen instead of depressing a physical button.

Good Phone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I manged to get my hands on the S5 because my friend works for a telco company so I have tested it for a week and I must say I am impressed. At first I thought it would just be your average high end phone but the phone runs smoothly and has great picture quality. Gave it a 3 for Value for Price since I fell it is a little expensive.

Nice Phone... but
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: - Nice phone by Samsung !!! - Camera quality is good and also few of the apps are helpful... again it depends on which and how you use the apps. - music quality is good. Cons: - battery life needs to be improved a bit. - also samsung should stop using plastic body which degrades the looks of a cell phone, they should really work on the body of the cell phone. NOTE: if you are not worried about looks, then Samsung S5 is a good choice.

Galaxy S5 Active is Strong and Fast!!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I Love this phone same features of the Galaxy S5 in a HULK built. If you don't care about finger print scanner this will be the best option for you. Especially if you are hard on phones. Physical buttons work better than the original S5

Sticking to the basics
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Many were disappointed when this product was revealed and were talking about the cheap plastics. I agree that metal looks more premium but don't count this one out until you touch it and hold it. Battery life has been vastly improved. Camera quality is amazing. Screen is just sooooo clear. Compared to the iphone..... Yes the functions can be simplified and maybe the software could be a little more optimized. Just like comparing Windows VS IOS on your PC
