Beware $1 for S5 promo
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best Buy advertised a promo to get the S5 for $1 if you were out of contract and agreed to a 2 year renewal. So I bought one thinking I was essentially getting a free phone. BUT what Best Buy doesn't tell you is that your carrier (AT&T in my case) will raise your monthly bill by $25/month for the next two years ($600 total increase). If I would have known that, I would have just kept my S3, which was working fine.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not a bad phone, except Voice Wake-up for S Voice doesn't work and somehow a lot of pictures came out blurry.

not water proof
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this phone because I'm a mother of a 3 y/o. Needless to say, the phone went into the tub within 3 weeks of purchase. The water proof feature of this phone did not "hold water". The phone would not charge, did not work for 6 hours and camera was damaged. Worse part, I went to Best Buy to see if we could do an exchange. The first set of employees stated it would be no problem just come back to store with accessories. Drove 30 mins to pick up what was needed to return to store and second set of employees would not complete the exchange. Told me to go to AT&T and contact Samsung! Worse experience of my life dealing with such a high end company. Never Again!

Mmmmmmm....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had the phone for about a month and the first week I was pleased now... Not so much. The screen glitches out. It asks if i want to power down. Then I lose all service. Then it randomly turns up the volume. I don't know if it's normal or not for the phone tI tell u to check the battery cover or not it does that every time I power off.

expected alot more
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had this phone for about a month now, the screen cracked from one drop and I'm not getting alot of.my sms messages. Samsung wants 160+ plus dollars to fix this. If I was still with apple. They would have switched it out free of charge.

Great!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I switched over to the galaxy s5 from an iPhone 4s and in my opinion this phone is WAY better. The picture quality is better, the battery life is better and I like Google play MUCH better than iTunes. My favorite part about this phone has to be the camera. I love to take pictures all the time and this phones camera is almost better than my nikon!

Samsung is the future of technology, respect it.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Samsung Galaxy S5 is one of the fastest and most dependable phones available. We are reluctant that Samsung would provide us with the newest techology available to the public. Key features like super fast download speeds combining the wifi and 4G LTE. No other phone does that. The fact that Samsung wants to be able to keep us fit and throw that kind of technology in their phone like the heart rate monitor and S Health app. This was one of the first phones that Samsung actively went out and spoke to people about and put exactly what the people wanted in a phone into this Galaxy S5. I have no met one person yet who did not fall in love with the phone. I have spoken to literally hundreds of people about this phone already because of where I work. The screen resolution can not be beat. I will always continue to buy Samsung because they always have the best technology available to the public for the money. I hope iPhone does something big on their next launch because they will have to have a pretty awesome phone to even compare to what samsung has been putting out for years now. This is one of the best phones that I have ever purchased. So impressed!!!

disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's clunky. The swype function is worse than used to be. First two weeks battery lasted all day, now a month later it drains quick. Apps open on their own. Tap on the app to open it and 50% of the time it just flips the screen instead of opening the app. I did tons and tons of research on all the phones currently on the market and.... for me, I chose the wrong device. You might love it. .. but I hate it.

Greatest Upgrade Ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgrading from a Galaxy S2 Skyrocket this phone has only lagged when i put it under extreme stress for example downloading 50 apps at once and of course you have to forgive a device in that circumstance , the back feels good, doesn't look nor feel like a band-aid at all, tested the water resistance i give it an A-, For everyone whos asking " wheres the kids mode?!!" go to you're widget drawer and kids mode is right there place it on your home screen you are going to have to download it ( don't blame samsung blame AT&T) and ta-da its there, battery life is a A+ especially with the ULTRA-POWER SAVING MODE people who complain about it need to calm down what do you think drains your battery ? 1) processor 2) Data 3)Background Apps and 4) your beautiful bright screen. The Mode shuts down all of those just giving you the necessities of a phone calling , texting, web, and 3 other apps with light use and at 10% you can get another days worth of battery if you are out of reach of a charger. next thing is the fingerprint sensor for me it does a pretty good job, i've had this phone for less than a week and iv gotten used to the swiping method pretty fast over time the swiping speed you will get accustomed to so stop complaining I phone 5s users, Camera is amazing, when in a dark room you notice a little bit of a milky blue tone in the photo but its fine, dimension wise the phone is at a comfortable stance for holding in hand even for people with small and large hands its a nice phone to handle has a nice grip, in person the bezels don't look as plasticy or as how to put it.........BOLD as a quick term the bezel is no where close to those terms some people choose. Graphics are great, screen is amazing!, and new UI is much lighter and barely any S lag maybe once ina blue moon but of course i push my devices to the limit, S health is great heart rate sensor is a bit gimmicky but if you use it 5 times in one minute you'll get an accurate reading.Overall the device is a 9/10 if this device had a 2K display like. the oppo find 7 I would give it a 10/10( google oppo find 7 you will be amazed I wish Bestbuy would carry these devices)

Fast, responsive, excellent quality
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this through Sprint. Great coverage, great speed (I'm lucky enough to be in a Sprint Spark area). Unlimited data through Sprint is a huge thing for me. I've had several smart phones. I tried a mid-range one recently, and realized I was lying to myself -- I need high-end. :) And this phone does not disappoint at all. I haven't found anything negative, except that the speakers are still tinny. Now that I have unlimited data, I'm enjoying I-heart-radio, and it would be nicer to have better sound in the car. But that's minimal. I have a few high-end tablets, and I use this to connect them to the Internet. I was worried about the 5G limit, but with this phone I find that I can comfortably do a lot of what I used to do with my tablet on my phone now. Polaris Office is very good. I was using Next Launcher, but I've found I actually like TouchWiz better. The fingerprint scanner is nice -- I hate having to type in a password to unlock the screen, but I don't want to go with no security. So the fingerprint scanner to unlock is a great solution. Screen resolution is phenomenal -- over 440 ppi, even better than my tablets. True 1080p in a very compact package. Really, aside from tinny speakers, I can't find anything negative to say. I love this phone!
