Excellent phone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first Android phone, after years of being an Apple drone. It's been a bit of a learning experience, but I was ready for something new. My wife had just gotten the HTC X One, but liked my S3 so much we took it back and got her one too. She has the white one, I have the blue. I might take the blue one back though and get the red one if best buy gets them in soon.

An honest Review
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would like to give a very honest review. I am neutral when it comes to deciding either an Iphone or an Android smartphone. I got the Samsung Galaxy Skyrocket II a few months back and I was enjoying it, my only complain was the poor battery life. I returned it since I learned that this phone was coming out (SGS3). I have been using this phone for about a month now and I have ran into many glitches, for example when playing music it has paused out of the blue quite a few times. Other times while playing a song it will just skip and start playing another one. I donwloaded an update from AT&T but same problem. Another major complain is the camera, the screen appears to be very sensitive, IT WILL TAKE PICTURES ON ITS OWN and also I noticed that lately there is a delay when taking pictures (processing) if not using the burst mode. Overall is a good phone but just like any other phone expect some flaws.

My First Android
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my new phone. I love the screen size for videos. I wish it had a longer battery life. I am not used to having to recharge my phone every day. Other than that, everything else is GREAT!

BIG and Awesome!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, the S3 is an AWESOME device. I have had the S3 for about 2 months, and I enjoy it more everyday. The call quality is amazing, speakerphone is excellent, AMOLED Display is truly the best out there. I switched from iPhone 4 because the screen and text were just too small. I also really enjoy all of the ways to customize S3, if there is something you dont like (camera app, music player etc...) it can be easily replaced by a better one from the Anroid Store. I also use the WifI hotspot App which is very useful when I am using my iPad, I could never do this with my iPhone. One last thing, AT&T LTE data is blazing fast. Its so fast, my home broadband seems slow and I have 30mbps cable modem service! I really wanted to get a new iPhone but Apple seems to refuse to make a larger screen phone and lost me as a Customer for their phones.

Great Phone and Perfect Size
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Swapped from an iPhone 3GS to this phone and I have been pleasantly surprised with all of the things that you can do on an android phone and with this phone in general. I can take great pictures, browse the web easily, play games, watch videos and several other things. I would definitely recommend this phone.

I feel in love the minute I turned the phone on.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this phone. I'm not one of those people that say, "Oh Apple sucks, go Android!". No, I think Apple and Android are both decent providers. Compared to the iPhone 5, however, this phone beats it in all the categories. I would, and have, recommend this phone to anyone.

fast and clear great improvement over s2
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn't sure it was worth trading up to the s3 from the s2 but I am glad that I did. Great improvement in call quality and the signal is always great. This phone doesn't mind running tons of apps at once and always plenty of memory to spare.

As good as you want a smartphone to be.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pumped with high-performing hardware and creative software features, the Samsung Galaxy S3 is an excellent, top-end phone that's neck and neck with the HTC One X. With the Samsung Galaxy S III (S3), Samsung has done it again. For the third consecutive year, its flagship Galaxy phone is a tidy package of top-flight specs, approachable design, steady performance, and compelling pricing.

Amazing phone!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone could possibly be what brings more apple users over to android. This phone easily beats the iPhones! The speed and processing power is perfect for the operating system and there is virtually no lag at all. Even some of the higher end 3D games have very minor or no lag at all. The interface is very simple and easy to learn for people new to android. I Highly recommend purchasing or at least trying this phone out. You will not be disappointed!

Smartphone that works for you.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife and I tried other smartphones with no success. S3 lives up to its hype. Strong wireless reception ,clear phone calls. Battery could last longer, but still learning new ways to optimise power. Wife wish they had more colors. Hard not to keep playing with phone and learning new features daily.

Short, Sweet Revie
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had the iphone and the samsung galaxy 2. I just upgraded to the samsung galaxy 3. I was choosing between the note and iphone 5 when the employee told me the note only runs on gingerbread, the 1st android os and that no upgrade to the os is available. The note 2 is coming out soon. I didn't want to wait so I picked the galaxy s 3 because of the size and smoothness of the interface. I like the smoothness of the touchscreen better on the iphone than my galaxy 2, but hoa-boy, the galaxy s 3 is just as smooth or smoother! There are tons of tricks and tips. Watch youtube to learn fast.

Battery issue
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Other than the battery, I love my phone. Switched from iPhone because I couldn't do some things for work where I needed to click on dynamic choice lists but found I could on my daughter's Android so I switched and will never go back. As for the battery, Bought phone March 2013. When it was about a year old the battery seemed to drain faster. For the past couple months it powers off when the battery still has a charge - even over 50%. Tech guy at work who also works part-time at BestBuy said it probably needs a new battery. I can use it maybe 30min off the charger now so I'll be buying a new battery soon. As expensive as smart phones are (or the two-year plans to get them for less), I expect the battery to last at least two years. Either the maker of the phone or the carrier should use it as a selling point to replace the battery for free when it is under contract.

Great Phone, Bad Security
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Okay, so I got the Galaxy S3 about 4 or 5 weeks ago, and up until 3 weeks ago, I thought it was the greatest phone ever, until my phone said that it had a Security update. I had low battery left and no charger because I was out and away from WiFi. When I got home to my charger and WiFi the little notification icon was gone and I couldnt find it. Then the next day, I got all these Websites saying my phone battery was being drained really bad by X number of apps. And I thought it was very strange but I didnt think twice about it. Until it kept making me miss important things because it was poping up and deleting what I was doing. And it just keeps saying that I need to download these apps to "save battery" and to "protect my phone from a virus"which in fact DOES NOT WORK! And it kept making me mad because that same website will pop up, or now it will take me straight to the Playstore. If you are thinking about getting this phone, I highly recommend it, but just know you may or may not have problems with it.

The Worst phone ever I had. Over heating Poor Batt
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I switched from Blackberry to Samsung after some friends recomendation. But even though my hand is big. Several time the phone slipped from my hand while typing, but after putting a good grip cover that problem solved. Next is Battery. If I carry the phone in pocket or pouch, the phone is a good body warmer, means battery draining by itself. If I keep the phone in table without touching battery last for more than a day(why should we carry a phone ? ). While play games or do some important stuff, the bottom part is over heats (my new iPhone5 dont) The Best thing of the phone is big screen to watch video and read stuffs. Lot of free Application which is very useful and user friendly (offcourse its a Android) while at the same time Apple dont have or not supporting that kinds. Picture quality and videos are excellent.

Best phone yet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall an excellent phone. Battery life has been better than expected, though it has run out on me on some days. However, I like to keep a replacement battery with me all the time. Relatively easy to root if you want to do so. Because the phone is so popular, Android 4.1.1 custom ROMs are already available for it.
