    Terrible Reception Inside Home

I loved this phone when I first got it, but after two weeks, I am having second thoughts. I cannot call from within my home and even outside, it frequently drops calls. I was standing next to my Mom and called her cell phone and it was ringing on my end and didn't start ringing on her end until it showed 10 seconds on my phone. The ringer even sounds like it is cutting out when it rings. It is very choppy. I called Sprint about the horrible reception and was told that they could send me something to amplify the signal in my home. This is ridiculous! I never had these issues with my HTC Evo 4G and it was a piece of junk as far as paint and pieces of the phone chipping off. The battery port also broke. I am going to return this phone and get something else.

    Best phone I've ever had......

I LOVE this phone! I do everything on it from e-mails to shopping. I'm still figuring it out but I am thrilled with it, so thrilled in fact that I bought TWO! If they came out with a red one for Sprint, I'd have 3!!! <3 The only issue I've had is the lack of a keyboard. ..I've never had a phone without one so it's taken some getting used to but I can't even imagine having a different phone. Get the phone if you're thinking about it, I promise you won't regret it. And it's SO much fun dressing it up! Ebay has millions of accessories! Omg it's like dressing a child! Sooooo much fun! LOVE THIS PHONE!!!!! <3

    Very disappointed

Cons: Put it in an OtterBox ! Surface is SO slick it slides off anything; and this phone is pathetically delicate. Unless connected to Wifi, data speed is very slow and battery drains rapidly. "Connection Optimizer" turns itself back on at will, and Calls/texts stop coming thru until I make a call! Reboot is required to switch to/from 4G/CDMA !! Really ?! Phone freezes and locks up, requires taking battery off to clear up. Touch screen unresponsive 30% of the time. Samsung and Google functions butt heads with each other. Pros: Great camera Superb sound from handset and furnished headset!

The Galaxy 4 on a budget

This is a great phone if you can't afford the Galaxy 4. It has only a few minor differences between the 3 and 4 per Phonescoop.com. I'm completely satisfied for the phone I have and the price I paid.

Samsung Galaxy S III is the best phone available in the market right now. I am fascinated with it. A robust phone that offers great functionality and excellent quality. Excellent response time with no lagging even with bunch of apps loaded on to the phone. I use it for personal use and have the Good App for my corporate access as well. Works seamlessly.

Great phone, so many apps available for it. Short battery life though with moderate use it doesn't last a whole day. Droid OS is great and fairly intuitive.

love my original galaxy. waited to get the galaxy 3 instead of getting galaxy 3. the 4 g that i pay extra for can't be enabled and it never activates. the 3 g is weak at best. only good data reception when i am at home on my own wifi. not acceptable. and it was supposed to be robust. have not been able to watch any hd videos that have not buffered over and over again. very disappointed. 3 stars is being very generous.

This is a great phone and way better then spending to much for the Iphone which is the best comparison to this Phone. Only issue I have is the terrible cell coverage for all phones here in Flagstaff, AZ?

    Not worth the hype..AT ALL

I have had many smartphones over the years, from HTC to the iphone4s. Let me just start off by saying I did not want this phone, but it was the best choice out of what sprint was willing to give me. Before the s3,I had an HTC EVO 4GLTE. I LOVED that phone until it one day started up the dreaded black screen of death. Since I didn't want to take the chance of getting another faulty evo,I went with the Samsung Galaxy s3,thinking it would be a decent phone thanks to all the rave reviews, and since I had the original Samsung Galaxy epic(which I adored);I decided to give it a shot. The list of complaints started from day one. First off,it is TOO BIG for my hands, and my hands are rather large for a girl's. I have a hard time holding this phone for long periods of time before my hands start to hurt and I have to put it down. Second biggest complaint for me,is there is no physical camera button...now for me,the camera is one of the main things I look for in a phone. As a professional photographer, I like for my phone's camera to be pretty high tech as well. This one..in short...sucks. It's laggy, takes awful pictures especially with the flash, the automatic lens doesn't work in a timely manner..nothing about this camera is good. AND when you first get this phone out of the box,it doesn't even come with an editing source. You have to download one from samsung, which took about an hour with my bad reception. Having to download editing software with the main stock camera is absurd to me. That should have been built in. But no. My third biggest problem with this phone,is the BATTERY LIFE. I am ALWAYS having to charge my phone now, sometimes 3-4 times a day. Which to be honest,I'm not even getting that much use out of. When I take it off the charger, the green little battery starts to go down after maybe 10 mins. I could be on my EVO for TWO HOURS before even a tiny sliver of the battery would go down. I have to practically adjust the screen brightness to the dimmest it will go,turn off wifi every chance I get,and anything else that will help save the battery life. And I mean,I know no smartphone as a great battery life, but compared to my HTCEVO,it is just horrible. Even compared to the original Epic,it is horrible. Overall, there is nothing great about this phone. Yes it comes with a Siri-wanna-be,but who cares. That will just drain your battery more. It's awful to type on(I have to use swype now, which I never would have even considered before). The screenshot doesn't even work correctly on this phone. It used to be soo easy on my evo,as well as any other phone I've used, but not this one. Please Please Please,do not listen to all the hype about this phone. It is not worth the money nor your time.
