So many features, I don't know where to begin. does just about everything you could want in a phone, and then much more! Simple to use. Great reception. only drawback would be the little battery. Even in power saving mode, battery life is consumed quickly.

I keep hearing about short battery life with smart phones. It must have a lot to do with how you use your phone. Battery life has been very good. I was already familiar with Android from my tablet. I enjoy having a smart phone for all the conveniences it offers.

Overall, this phone seems superior to my old HTC. Better battery life. It seems like the recharge is faster. A-Z selection in the Contacts. The button on the bottom front, makes resuming faster. Camera images good. I have not tried the navigation yet and skype. Seems like a valuable component for on the go business.

My father needed a new smart phone that was easier on his eyes for web browsing, texting, etc. The Galaxy S III does not disappoint in any category. In fact now I can barely get my father off of the phone where as before he hated his previous smart phone.

I really like this phone. It's sasy to use and slim and sleek. The touch screen is super sensitive and can make texting a little annoying sometime. But then there's the talk to text which is really cool. I'm truely enjying my new phone.

I would not recommend getting the cover that tlips open, I constantly hit the on/off button instead of the up.down lever because it is on the outside. Other than the cover I love everything about this phone, especially the sweep typing functionality

Once we learned to turn off all the auto on features, and the shortcuts to activate when they are needed, it lasts all day and works great. With everything on all the time--7-8 hours to battery death. With only what you are using: at 40% at end of day.

I was looking for a phone that would take great pictures. I have 2 small grandsons and they are always on the move and I get such good pictures. Plus I like taking pictures of the outdoors and they turn out excellent. Sending text messages is so easy

    GREAT ALL-AROUND SMARTPHONE

Great all-around phone. One nice added benefit of the SPRINT version of this phone is the ability to use voice & data simultaneously while on 3G.For the most part, this benefit was available only on GSM phones(AT&T/T-MOBILE/INT'L PHONES). One can't ever have enough battery life, although this phone is decent in that catergory. However,I've elected to use a lager capacity extended battery to attain longer phone life between charges. This option shouldn't be taken lightly,as some phones have a built-in/non-removable battery.Kudos to SAMSUNG for having a removable/replacable battery. Overall,an outstaning phone that should be servicable well beyond the standard 2yr. contract w/your carrier.

It was time for my upgrade and this phone came highly recommended by my wife and son. They are obsessed with theirs. I just have to learn everything there is to know about it. There is so much available to download. Samsung has a great product here.

This phone is leaps and bound over my old evo. The battery life make the full day no problem and I use I heart radio for several hours of that. Takes great picture and the 4g connection works really well when available. I would definitely by more

This is my first touchscreen smartphone and I love it. I like the power saving features, especially the screen save that keeps things from being pushed when the phone is in my purse or my toddler picks it up. It takes great pictures and video.

I would highly recommend this phone to anyone wanting an android. Samsung makes it easy to set up and begin using even if you haven't had experience with one of their phones before. My only regret is that I waited so long to get this phone!

This is a great phone. Easy to use for beginners. Bought this for my mom and she has had no trouble using it! "Easy mode" is great for those who have a hard time with technology (available as an update through the phone, didn't come with this).

Great upgrade from 3 year old smartphone. This is slim, light and a larger screen size. Pictures are not as sharp as I'd like (in the phonebook). Still learning, unfortunately I purchased 3 weeks too soon, as the Galaxy 4 became available for free, $100 less than what I paid for the Galaxy3.

OK but underlying problems with samsung software

The quality of the phone as far as calling is very good. The sound on the internal speakers is a little low when playing music or videos. The samsung keyboard software keeps locking up while in the middle of creating a text message. Also when attempting to combine contacts in the contact list they do not combine even though it goes through the motions and says it does. All of the other features work well and the battery lasts through the day unless you leave the GPS, Bluetooth, and WIFI on then it will be dead after 8-10 hours.

This is a great phone! Sprint was the problem

I have been using Sprint for several years after leaving Verizon to save cost. I was using a HT Evo for over 2 yrs , which worked good. As time went by the Evo would freeze up a lot which got me looking at newer phones. I upgraded to the Galaxy S III. After the upgrade I noticed that there where many places where I had made calls and use internet data before I could not with the Galaxy S III. I thought I had a defective phone. I went back and forth with Sprint unable to get a straight answer. The local Sprint store blamed the towers being upgraded to the 4 g Lte. Calling Sprint Cus Srv stated there was no upgrading going on. At the Best Buy where I purchased the phone stated the towers in the area are still 3 g and the Sprint Galaxy S III does not work well with the current towers. I got feed up had Sprint let me out of my contract, went back to Best Buy, and got another Galaxy S III with Verizon and it works GREAT! Fast and easy to use! I would recommend the phone just not with Sprint

I purchased 3 of these phones for Christmas gifts. These phones are very thin but the dimensions are a bit large. Texting can be an issue as the on screen keyboard never seems to type the letter you are trying to hit. All silly issues but the only major issue is how hot the phones get with extended use. My son was listening to music on his phone while he did some dishes. The phone got extremely hot and when it slipped out of his pocket onto carpet, it simply shattered. Fortunately we had a screen protector in place and most of the glass stuck to that. We all love these phones, just be careful using them for extended periods due to over heating.
