worst phone I've ever had

Nice phone with a few quirks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This my first Samsung phone. I was a big HTC fan and when it was time to upgrade I took a long look at the SIII and the HTC Evo 4G LTE. I ended up getting the Evo but returned it because of the multitasking issue, bluetooth connectivity issue and the non removeable battery. The only other logical choice in Sprints arsenal was the SIII (or Nexus). I'm amazed how Samsung was able to make a phone this thin and still be able to have a large removable battery. The screen is beautiful, but have to say the Evo's is a bit better, but it's a pretty close call. In terms of fuctionality this phone is just outstanding. So many different things you can do with this device it will takes you weeks to figure it all out. Plus the camera is probably the best you can buy on a phone right now. The only major issue I have is the fact that you CANNOT move apps from the internal memory to the SD card. Music, photos, movies are movable just not apps. You can move apps to the SD card on the HTC Evo 4G LTE so I don't understand Samsungs reasons for this decision. Just a warning to anyone who like to load a lot of apps onto your phone. You have about 12 gb of internal memory to play with out of the 16gb for apps (which should more than enough for the average user). For me, I don't load a ton of apps so it's not a dealbreaker for me. All and all, albeit a few quirks and Sprint's pathetic 3G speeds and barely existant LTE network, it's a great phone. It's probably the best smartphone you can buy right now next to the HTC 1X and the HTC Evo 4G LTE.

The Samsung Galaxy S3 is the best phone out there.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Samsung Galaxy S3 is a great choice in the market of smartphones. Its rich 4.8 AMOLED screen and intricate design may seem overdone by some, but they are both incredible. The phone runs at a great rate due to the amazing dual-core processor built into the phone. The call quality is not lacking either, with some of the best audio I have ever heard. The camera is on par with other smartphones with an 8.0 megapixel, but what gives it the edge is the HD screen to view the pictures on. All these reasons and more make this phone the best on the market.

I'm disappointed in the ease of use.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Fair at best. I think there should be an owner's manual to help with use.

Love the screen
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this phone for business and personal use. I found it very easy to use. I love the giant screen and the videos and pictures are really clear. The only thing that I am disappointed is when I am using certain apps, it really drains the battery. Other than that, I have no complaints.

Holy Smartphone of God
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Okay, okay... so some of you might be saying "BLASPHEMER! BLASPHEMER!" and well... I suppose you'd be right. But then, you probably haven't spent any time with the Samsung Galaxy S3. This phone is a game changer - not just for the mobile phone industry or Samsung, but for you, the user. It might take some getting used to (I myself am still learning the phone, as it is far more advanced than my previous HTC EVO3D that ran on Honeycomb), but it won't take long to realize this phone is better than anything other model. Everything works beautifully - no bugs, no delays, no whining about storage space or memory usage. The camera is phenomenal. When we say it takes pictures with zero shutter lag, it takes pictures with ZERO SHUTTER LAG. No more asking your toddler to hold still for 10 seconds while your phone considers capturing that priceless memory. On top of that, there's no blurring effect on fast objects. It's better than my stand-alone Nikon Coolpix (not counting the zoom capability), which I don't even bother taking along now that I have the Samsung. You'll get the latest-available version of Android (Ice Cream Sandwich) and it is a big difference from the previous versions. Everything is considerably more seamless and intuitive. The weight takes some getting used to; it's so damned light I'm going to welcome a nice case for protection. The screen is pretty awesome - honestly I don't think you'd be able to tell if this or the HTC One lineup is better. Plus, with the face detection feature, it automatically stays on depending on whether or not you are still looking at it. This and the automatic brightness (that actually works) saves the battery quite a bit. Compared to my last EVO, the battery life is far better even with more usage. There are too many features to comment on, but all of them are pretty amazing. It's just one of those things where you've got to try it to believe it. Have a little faith, will ya?

Great phone for all users
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Samsung has really stepped up its Android game over the last few years. As a Moment owner, I thoroughly enjoyed that model's build quality, even given what would now be considered its spartan software. For whatever reason, I chose to upgrade from that to the HTC EVO 4G instead of the Epic 4G (Sprint's first Galaxy S), and while that was a great phone, it was starting to get long in the tooth (vibrator quit working, battery cover started to crack/fail). I chose to upgrade to this device, and I now feel that I could never leave Samsung again. Start with the face. Yes, it's all glass, but the curves at the edges make it so wonderful to look at. The screen itself pops with vibrant color, and while it is oversaturated, images and text are crisp. The back cover has enough latches to give the device a very sturdy feel. The processor on this device rocks, resulting in very little stutter. Even on a 3G network, browser pages load relatively quickly. It's also good that the microSD card can be accessed without having to remove the battery. The NFC might be a little slow to wake up (provided you remember to turn it on, of course), but once it's going, making NFC transactions is a breeze. Since this is a device review and not an OS review, I won't mention any more than what Samsung has added, and mainly the gestures are innovative (e.g. it's much easier to wave the side of the hand over the screen to get a screenshot than the conventional hold power+home button). Thankfully, these gestures are selectable, so you only need to turn on the ones you feel comfortable using. I'm looking forward to the Premium Suite upgrades Samsung wants to bring and hope Sprint will agree to bring it. Overall, this is a nice step up for those coming from the original EVO and Epic. It's hard to see how this couldn't be considered the best device of the year, and Samsung is committed to making it even better. It deserves strong consideration from anyone seeking to upgrade during the next month or two.

Better than EVO
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had the EVO 4g for almost two years and decided to get the S3 for a replacement because of the reviews on it, besides it did look nice. The size is perfect for me(comparable to EVO), colors good, picture quality is amazing(better than EVO) And the battery life is exceptional, hands down just blows the EVO away. I use the nav a lot and use apps with calling and can still go most of the day on a charge, my EVO would be dead in a matter of a couple hours. The only things I really don't like about the S3 is the reception is not quite as good, it's not terrible or anything, just...a bit off compared to the EVO I had. And the off button could have been placed somewhere else, I have hung up on several people by holding the phone while talking and not knowing I was pressing the off button. Music plays good, nice sound and volume. Picture and video are amazing. I've had this phone for a little over a month now and I like it a lot, especially when I can share my pics and vid wirelessly to my TV!

Lemme upgrade ya!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I struggled with the decision to purchase another android phone or iPhone. The deciding factor was the price and the fact that Apple never discounts their phones. This phone is AMAZING! Its camera is much better than my point and shoot. It's lightweight, yet seems durable enough to last a few good years. I love the direct message and direct dial widgets. They will certainly come in handy. I didn't like the fact that there were atleast 5 screens. I just need a home screen and maybe one additional screen. But, that's customizable too! It just a little bit longer to figure that one out. On your home screen, just push the menu button and find the edit button and voila! Everyone I came in contact with has said this is far superior than the iPhone...I couldn't agree more.

THE WAIT IS OVER!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.5 stars. Music player is great. Camera is easy to use with great picture . S voice is ok but fun. My gf already droped her phone with only a scratch and was on rocks and rough terrain so not bad. Also love how fast the phone is with only a dual core and not the quad core processor. Always buy the phone it's awesome.

ON POINT!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this is a great device - my wife got a white one and got pebble blue! i love the size, display, and all of the features. the 3G network isn't the best, but i'm always on wifi at the house and this device is lighting fast! i'm able to hit LTE in some areas around my neighborhood and at work LTE is all over the place it seems. to me it seems that WiMax is faster than the LTE, but i guess since LTE is fairly new to my area Sprint is still working out the bugs. the camera takes some nice pics, and being able to take pics while recording is pretty awesome. the battery life is good - i used it pretty heavy one day and i got about 10-12 hours on a single charge. on another day i was able to get about 24-26 hours on light/moderate use. i recommend downloading a battery saver app like Juice Defender - i've used it for about three years and it's one of the best out there. i upgraded from the Evo Shift so it took me a while to get used to an all touch device again. in all honesty, you can't go wrong with this device you just have to get it and see for yourself...you won't be disappointed.

Hope they've improved it
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do not have the III version so I hope they've improved it. I am normally a huge Samsung fan but this phone... I don't think I would risk getting another. I'm on my 5th replacement in a year and am extremely frustrated. The phone locks up all the time. In the middle of a phone call it will switch over to a dial tone as if I was trying to do a conference call and it is next to impossible to get back to the other call because the screen will go black when you try to touch it... you have to be quick about opening the keyboard (if you have that version) and then it will keep the screen active to get back to your original call... unfortunately the person you were speaking with has probably hung up by then. Constant dropped calls but I suspect that has more to do with Sprint than the phone. Often times when unplugging from charging the phone will reboot. Sometimes for no reason the phone will spontaneously decide to reboot. The 4G does not stay connected continuously - very annoying. Love the size and quality of the screen tho... and it's the only phone I found that has a panoramic setting for the camera (not that that's all that important).

Top of the line smartphone!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is by far my favorite mobile device to date. The picture quality is unbelievable. It comes with many different features and one of my favorites would have to be the camera. This device takes outstanding photos. It might be a bit larger than other smartphones available today, but it is nice and slim and not too heavy. I wouldn't trade my Samsung Galaxy S3 for anything! It's definitely a keeper!!!

Love the phone and all the features.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am so much happier with this phone over the HTC EVO 3D, which I liked a great deal. Screen is easy on the eyes and more vivid. I went with this phone over the new HTC EVO LTE, after playing with both in the store for about an hour. Not regretting my choice at all. I am having little to no problem figuring out how to use the features. Battery life could be improved, as well as reception, the other good things, make the not so good, very tolerable. Three of our family have the SIII and my wife will replace her SII when she is eligible in December next year. I did the early buy out offer, but cannot afford to do her phone right now.

Best Phone Ever!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone is great. It has so many cool features. Some that I may never use, but cool none the less. My wife got an iphone 4s and is super jealous, wishing she would've got one of these. It is so good that it will replace my tablet. No more double billing!
