Customers are positive about the Galaxy S20's camera, battery life, display, speed, size, price, performance, and unlocked feature. They appreciate the improved camera quality, long battery life, large and immersive display, fast performance, and the fact that it is unlocked from Samsung. However, some customers are negative about its expensiveness, the removal of the headphone jack, overheating issues, unreliable 5G connectivity, and fragility.

    Frustrating default softwares

Samsung bundles with unwanted proprietory softwares that are nothing but the nuisance. All of these softwares lower the speed of the device and there are some built-in defaults such as Samsung browser which is terrible to use and unfortunately only a few links can be set to use chrome as a default and which is a frustrating experience.

S20+ def big step up from S10

At first I thought the S20 wouldn't be much better than my S10...it is though. Well, I got an S20 plus. Bigger, but not too big. Camera is really noticeably better...and I thought my S10 was great. Battery is awsome...I'll say 30 percent better for me....I'm a HEAVY user and the S20+ actually lasts all day...didn't think that was possible. More powerful...everything just works better. This comes with "super fast" charging that is super fast. The higher refresh rate is actually a little bit jerky on some sites, but generally good....I think there will be an update for that. I don't live near 5g, so no comment. Good phone. I loved my 10, but this is better. Disclaimer...i just got this and it was 500 off. Also, important, if you have developer options turned on your mobile hot spot may not connect...but most people don't even turn on developer options...its a process...and you can just switch it off. If you can get the 500 off and some trade in its a def go. Full 1200?...well, I only buy flagships on sale...so, every year I'm at best buy.

I am long term android user and the phone just didn't feel right. The software doesn't feel good. The camera was not up to par as compared to my old one plus 6t. I returned it. Good BB service.

Overall, the S20 is an excellent phone!

I have been a fan of of the Samsung Galaxy S series for seven years now, having had five devices in the series starting from the Galaxy S3. My favorite new feature on the Galaxy S20 is the 120hz refresh rate; it makes scrolling and transitioning through pages and apps a seamless experience. The only downside, though, is that going back to 60hz will make the phone seem noticeably slower. However, I always keep my phone on 120hz, so I do not come across that issue. I find that using the 120hz refresh rate does not drastically decrease the battery; I use my phone moderately and have never had my fully charged phone run out of battery at the end of a day's use. Camera: I upgraded from the Samsung Galaxy S9, and I noticed a significant improvement in the front-facing camera on the S20. Images and videos are more clear and crisp. The rear camera also appears to have improved, but not significantly because I found that the camera on the S9 was excellent. I do not use the more advanced features on the camera/video, so I cannot speak on those. Build Quality: The S20's lightweight aluminum build feels great. The S20 is much longer than it is wide (it is a tall phone), so it can be a bit awkward for me to use single-handedly. However, there is a single-handed mode in the features, which helps. Super Fast-charging: The fast charging is, well, very fast, and I love it. The phone charges from 0% to 100% in about an hour. The charging cable that comes with the phone is also very sturdy and durable. Previous phone chargers would wear out much more quickly. Ultrasonic fingerprint reader: Coming from the S9, I like the fingerprint sensor on the S20. However, it took me a few tries to get all of the angles for my fingerprint so that the fingerprint sensor worked accurately at various angles. The fingerprint sensor on the S9 is faster and more accurate; I would hardly touch the sensor and the phone would unlock. I have to put a bit more effort into unlocking the S20 (a bit more pressure, angling my finger properly). Customizability: Another thing that I love about the S20 is that it is highly customizable. When I got this device, I spent around an hour customizing the features on the phone.

I thought I was upgrading from the S9+ but it feels more like a downgrade. I received mine with $400 then sold my old phone to another website for another $214. So that took some of the cost down. After setting up service found out 5G is in very select places none of which I go to. I had great internet and 3 bars but now I have mediocre internet and 2 bars. If I didn't get it at a discount in hopes that sometime in the future I'll get better service than I wouldn't be keeping it. I don't like the finger print scanner. Its worse than the S9. Its in a bad place. The close/open tab on the side is right where I place my hands so I'm constantly closing the phone.

    Worst Galaxy since the S5

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I've bought the latest Samsung phone every year since the Galaxy S3. I've also loved all of them except the S5 and the S20. The only reason this is getting good reviews is because the other options on the market are so weak. The reality is that the Galaxy S20 is a terrible showing from Samsung, for the following reasons: - Battery life is overall abysmal - I suppose this is due to the 120 Hz screen and 5G...but it stands out so poorly after I was so happy with the S10 battery life which could go on for multiple days). Samsung, no one wants to keep charging their phone every few hours. - The phone is heavier, bulkier, and looks awful compared to past Galaxy phones. (The extra bulk doesn't even get me better battery life as it normally would on other phones...see first point). The gorgeous curved screens of past generations are reduced too dramatically that it feels like they aren't even there anymore, the color choice is awful if you want the regular sized Galaxy phone, and it just looks more like my wife's iPhone now. Thank god at least they didn't adopt the notch. - The lack of headphone jack - why are you forcing the dongle life on us? This is one of the biggest reasons even my friends picked Samsung over Apple the last few generations. Clearly that extra space for increasing the battery size has not provided any benefits. Some of us have nice headphones and considering the frequency you expect us to charge the phone (see battery life point) why should we have to buy dongles to listen to music while we charge the phone? This one is a real slap in the face by Samsung. Again, the only reason this phone is getting good reviews is because other offerings on the market are pretty bad too. If you compare this Galaxy phone to past generations, this is arguably the worst phone offering ever from Samsung. Though the Galaxy S5 is giving it a good run for its money. As far as overall Samsung offerings, this is as garbage of a product as Samsung ARTIK. One more spectacular blunder like this and Samsung has lost another long time fan. Bring back the size, style, and performance of the Galaxy S8 please. That was a wonderful phone for the time.

I am already having issues with the touch screen. A few times a day I touch my screen to do something and its like I am not even touching it. I have to press it several times and its only when i hit the bottom (invisible) screen button will it then recognize I am pressing the screen. I was shocked and kicking myself for buying a phone that just came off the market...especially one that cost close to a $1000. Stupid move on my part.
