This phone is overrated. not a good phone only cause the pictures quality was like a gray color. Inside photos were dark. Not good.

My C charger stopped being able to charge it before I'd even had it a whole year. Now my wireless charger is not always able to charge it. Best buy only has super crappy cases for it when i bought it so I ended up with a spek case they had. Glass shattered writing first week. My back camera takes foggy pictures. Otherwise, it's been good. Decent battery life if i leave on battery saver. Won't let me easily turn off night mode anymore.... so it gets persnickety about some things. Not my favorite phone ever.

While it has a decent camera, a great processor, good speakers, and a decent screen, this phone has its issues: 1. The android skin provided with the phone is incredibly glitchy. The motion gestures don't work and it comes pre-loaded with bloat that you can't remove ( Galaxy Store, Bixby). The touch registers swipes as taps regularly. 2. The phone is surprisingly picky about what charging cables it works with, I have had to get brand new cables, where my last phone (lgG7) worked well. This is my first Samsung phone, and the software feels like beta software to me, I am hoping the software improves.

Overall I think this phone is a good deal if you can get it on sale like I did. In general I think samsung has chosen the right hardware points to compromise on, but I find Samsung's approach to android extremely frustrating. I bought this phone as an upgrade to my 3 year old OnePlus 5t. I think this phone is in a similar place in the market as that phone when it was new. I like the hardware of this phone. It seems to have all the useful features (wireless charging, water resistance, sd card) with none of the gimmicks. The notable exceptions are the battery life and and the lack of 3.5mm headphone jack. Reviews I read led me to believe that this phone would have above average battery life with over a day on the tank. In reality I find it much worse than my old phone. I can just squeak out one day with the phone typically under 10% at the end. The 5t would easily go 2 days. I use the phone a lot during the day for streaming music, podcasts, and/or audio books to bluetooth earbuds. On top of the mediocre battery life, the phone is much slower to charge than my old OnePlus 5t and the included power brick is not even the fastest charging one for the phone. You have to buy that separately, lol. The one other hardware(?) Related gripe I have is that this phone has no ability to turn itself on for an alarm. The 5t could wake itself for the alarm, this phone cannot. So if you plan to use it as an alarm, you will need to leave it on all night. Otherwise the hardware is great and I am happy with it. The expandable storage is a nice touch. My main gripe is with Samsung's take on android. This is my first samsung phone and I find One UI buggy and frustrating. Samsung really wants you to use their ecosystem but it seems like it offers realtively few actually useful features. A lot of the features seemed geared towards allowing you to interact with other people with samsung phones. This approach works with apple because iPhones are ubiquitous enough, but literally none of my friends have samsung phones so most of these features are useless wastes of space to me. Samsung does allow you to uninstall some of the apps that come with the phone, but not enough in my opinion. Some of the default samsung apps have ads in them which feels extremely cheap when you have already bought a premium device from the company. What's really frustrating is how hard they make it for you to opt out of the samsung ecosystem. For example, I use the microsoft launcher, but every time I reboot the phone it changes the default launcher app back to Samsung's One UI. I have to go into settings to change it back and then also wipe the cache and storage for the one UI app to get the phone to use the microsoft launcher again (a bit strange for a company that does a lot of partnerships with microsoft). Additionally, I use the Google messages app for texting, but the phone app/combo has difficulting downloading MMSs that were sent while the phone was disconnected (airplane mode or off). I have to switch the default messaging app back to the samsung one, download the MMS to read it, and then change back to the messaging app I prefer. As a final example, a long press of the power button by default launches bixby, Samsung's personal assistant. If you change your personal assistant app (to, say, google) the power button still launches bixby. You can change the power button to instead bring up the power menu, but there is no way to have it bring up the personal assistant of your choice. Seriously? All of this seems like manipulative and coercive attempts to get you to use their apps so thay they can profit off you via ad revenue. It's against the spirit of android. If I had wanted to be forced into an ecosystem I would have bought an iphone; they do a better job with that if only because the have a larger market share. There are some software features that are nice touches though. The link to windows feature is cool and useful, allowing you to pull up apps from your phone on your windows 10 pc. Samsung Dex seems like some cool innovation and I like the idea of it, though at the moment I don't really have a use case for it. So overall my advice is: if you have already owned galaxy phones and like Samsung's software, this phone is a great deal for you. Otherwise I would advise a purer android experience like a pixel phone or a OnePlus. If you want an ecosystem but haven't bought into samsung yet, get an iPhone.

I have had for good 3 months now so i feel like i can write a proper review now. So if you plan to use wired headphones a lot DO NOT BUY IT. The adapter technically allows you to use it wkth headphones but it does not work. Samsung will send updates that will make the adapter useless so you will be unable to use it with adapter. Your only option will be Bluetooth. Nothing helps with this issue i have gone through online forums and talked to support no one has any idea on how to fix this problem. So here I am stuck with this phone but i cannot use it in my car. SO JUST BEWARE DO NOT BUY IT IF YOU PLAN TO USE A DONGLE A LOT. They make it seem like removing the headphone jack is not a huge issue but in samsungs case it is a huge issue so avoid if you fit in this particular category. Other than that its an okay phone. If you dont care about the brand name oneplus has better androids for almost the same price

In a month's use, the power button came off.I never dropped the phone or any other sort of damage.Button just came of with use. Samsung warranty did not cover this.I had to spend 160$ to get it fixed because you have to change the entire screen to place a new button.The new button has the same problem.It dances around in its place.

I went in for a purchase on a phone for my father. Immediately was met with skepticism and no one wanted to help. Only avoided me or judged me by appearance. Only making side comments to each other. Finally a gentleman approached that worked for your store and I told him my intentions for purchase. I wanted the best so requested the note line. He asked me about carrier options and I requested unlocked. Then they all of a sudden didn't have much. And one person said sprint doesn't do cards or kits but when I got home he had a card in his original phone from sprint. All's well that ends well. I think they should have at least known what they had on hand instead of making me dance around their questions like a fool being led around. I asked what was in stock, they said the s20 FE edition. Reluctantly, I accepted, but considering my Father is happy with the cell phone since he hasn't upgraded in years I am pleased. I also opted for the monthly geek squad and an official case from Samsung. I will say service was fair, but presumptuous and profiling. I will be refunding the geek squad protection as a result but, thank you for your time, take care.

I'm very disappointed. I read the reviews, did my research, but this battery is garbage. I bought a new phone because my Note 8 was down to 20% by 4:00 pm, this phone isn't much better. I think the battery drains faster when it's idle than when I'm using it. My other issue is that all of the notifications are the same sound. I hate that!

Slow keys don't function well no internet connection calls go straight to voicemail I've tried several things to get it to work right only having temporary success not a good phone too many bugs to work out

This was my husbands phone and he liked it at the beginning, but as time went on it kept having so many issues. The battery life was not good, when he sent or received text messages it would takes hours sometimes! Would show full service, but would have none. The best place for him to use the internet was at home on our wifi. We have the same cell provider, but I did not have those problems with my S20 +. This past May he upgraded to the S21 Ultra and loves it!

I'm not much of a technology kinda guy so reviewing a cell phone is probably the worst thing to ever ask me to do. Frankly speaking, I'm not clear on what this new 5g phone has over the perfectly good 3g cell it replaced... but I was told "you have to do this ... " for whatever silly reasons of the time. And so I did. Can't say that I'm impressed with any differences... this thing isn't any kind of rocket launch.

Don’t bother, battery doesn’t last all day, Usually when you get one they last a couple days. doesnt show the messages pop up, you get a bar you have to unlock phone then click on the bar. Too many steps just to see who has messaged. Yes, I went to geek squad they couldn’t adjust it. All group messages come through and a grey banner goes across message and area to write message so you cannot quickly answer you have to wait a minute for it to clear. Just to name a few

The screen used on this phone must be the thinnest glass since it didn't last 24 hours before the screen cracked. Now, only a few months later, this screen has cracks across everything. Bought a Samsung brand case versus an Otterbox like I normally do since my wife liked the Samsung case look. BAD DECISION. Do not buy Samsung branded cases, keep these Samsung phones in an Otterbox if you don't want them to break

This telephone has many issues. The sound leaves in the middle of a video. I have had to take this phone in to Best Buy several times. Sending and receiving text message has many issues. I have to turn off the mobile data at frequent intervals when at home as ATT says it is using data when in fact I have WIFI 5 G doing the same thing.

Well-known touchscreen issues (zoom stuttering, freezing) for which Samsung has released three unsuccessful patches. I'm mailing mine in to Samsung for service. There is a significant possibility this is a hardware issue that cannot be fixed. Otherwise, the phone is fantastic. I hope Samsung fixes this.

it's a good-looking device, however, SUPER FRAGILE is my only impression. it was shattered two days after I got it. it felt off from my desk to the floor in a case and it shattered... another thing about the camera. seemed so-so. I have had apple phone and google phones and I was NOT impressed with the camera quality.

Get a quality case with this phone! I put it off and the first time I dropped it damaged the screen and caused a split along the side. Also stopped charging with a cord which meant it only charges wirelessly.

It was great, when I first got it just over a month ago. Now, I constantly have so many issues, it's not even worth it. IT ABSOLUTELY JUST CRAP!!!

The phone it self is great the reception on the other hand is complete garbage constantly losing service.
