Overall it’s a pretty good phone. Although I did experience a bit of overheating while using it. I would still recommend this product because it has a nice display and works well.

I ordered this phone after having a Samsung Galaxy S7. I guess I didn't read the size good enough, because this phone was much bigger than I expected and it didn't/doesn't fit in my hands well. I had upgraded my S7 because it was only a 32GB and was running slow. The S20 does go pretty fast speed-wise, and I have it in a 128GB so I'm happy that I have more space for apps and other storage. However, I just wish I would have read the size closer. It is OK if you want a slightly bigger phone, but it wasn't what I was going for. Due to COVID, I wasn't able to get in the store and actually feel it out in my hands so I had ordered it when on sale and although I saved some money, I wish I could have handled the phone first.

Here are my first impressions after having the phone for three days. Pros - Nice camera. It's not professional grade, but for the average consumer, it's great. - Widgets! This is my first time using a android device, and I still have a lot to learn about the OS, but so far I've really enjoyed being able to customize the screen with various widgets. Cons -The finger print reader could be better. It requires a second scan about 1/3 of the time -Not a quality speaker for music. This isn't a problem if you plan on listening to music with your headphones, (Bluetooth, as there is no audio jack), but if you like to Jam with your friends you should get a separate Bluetooth speaker. -Too big for hands and pockets. Additional Notes - Bixby vs Google Assistant. Similar to Siri, Bixby and Google Assistant allow you to search things and access various phone features by voice, such as adding an event to your google calendar in a single sentence. However, they work in very different ways and having two options is confusing. Bixby is optimized to work with Samsung/Microsoft features, and will only work with pre-made 'capsules', like Netflix or Spotify. For example, if I say 'Play the Duck Tales theme song', Bixby asks me to add a Spotify account and will not play my music from YouTube Music or Apple Music. Google Assistant operates more like Google. It has better search functions and will play music from any app I ask. However, Google Assistant and Bixby have different apps for their reminders, and when I add a reminder using Google Assistant it does not add it to the Samsung 'Reminders' widgets. It is nice to have options, but it feels like Samsung, Microsoft, and Google are all fighting for your attention on the same device.

    Great upgrade choice

Upgraded from a 1.25 year old mid-range phone and so far so good. Certain web-sites that play videos now run noticeably faster and smoother, so the 6 GB of RAM and CPU is worth the premium. Camera image quality is also very good, clear, and responsive. Even though there is only one visible speaker vent/grill, the audio output from earphone and speaker are excellent. Android 10 sucks - formatting microSD as internal memory is not available, but the phone has 128 GB so it's not a deal breaker and you'll need to be somewhat current on Android otherwise you run the risk of app compatibility. Screen is .02" larger than previous phone I had, so no major change for me here, though the screen is taller and narrower and AMOLED is brightness range is slightly higher. Plastic shell instead of aluminum or tin feels cheap, but the phone has weight to make it feel substantial. The black dot for the camera in the screen is very goofy, but it's the trend. Comment by reviewer saying no microSD slot is false, the tray is two-sided to insert the SIM on one side and the microSD on the other.

The first issue I have with this phone is the fingerprint reader on the front glass display. I have to press and hold for much longer than I want and most of the time I have to make multiple attempts. It's super frustrating. My other galaxy had a metal plate on the back which was instant and flawless to get access to my cell. This finger print access alone on this phone makes me want to throw it across the room. In an emergency/hurry, I need to get into my phone and passed the password faster than this. Sometimes I have to bypass and just use pin because it's such a pain. This phone holds a good charge. The display is vivid. There are plenty of cool features, most of which I don't even use yet. You'll want to download an app for ringtones because the ones that come with the phone are mostly annoying. This phone has a little weight too it, but nothing crazy. I keep a lightweight jelly like case on it to display how pretty the phone color is. I have a screen protector on it as well. This contributes to the weight. So far I haven't had any major issues. Speech to text is foolish, and I speak perfectly clear English, no accent. Oddly enough, when using speech to text through my car connected to phone, works nearly perfect. This leads me to believe that the issue is the phone mic and not the feature itself. The keyboard is pretty much the same as all previous Galaxy phones. It needs a lot of work, but does the job I guess. I have some other complaints but nothing to really get into. Overall the phone performs well. The camera is decent. Video is ok with bright lighting.

I rate phones based on their sound quality, camera, and battery life. Battery Life: It can last roughly 4-6 hours on 100%. It takes 30-45 minutes for a full charge. Camera Quality: Nice overall but somewhat expected more but worth it. Sound Quality: If you play music all day, this phone works very well. I play music throughout the night in my sleep and the sound is just perfect quality. Phone call quality: People are not able to hear the background noise such as traffic or slightly loud noises. According to who I've called the sound quality is high there's no distortions. If there is its probably bad connection on either side of the call.

    Long term review

This is a long-term review of the Galaxy s20 FE. I've had this phone for almost 2 years so I think I can provide some insight. First of all, I love the features of this phone, many of which are no longer included in many android offerings. For example, MST is still very useful in the United States as there are still grocery stores that do not accept NFC payments. So the MST acts like a regular credit card by creating a magnetic field around and allowing payments to go through on Samsung pay. I also really appreciate the microSD card slot which allows expandable storage so you never have to pay extra to upgrade the storage on your phone unless you are a heavy app user. Lastly, I appreciate that at this price point, Samsung provided a panel that is 120 Hertz and this makes the experience a whole lot smoother. Now almost after 2 years, however I still feel like I need to upgrade. I had a lot of bugs on the s20 FE. Nothing serious but a lot of annoying things. For example, whenever I entered Instagram app it would always freeze for a little bit. Over time, I also noticed that the phone eventually slowed down and lagged a little bit, but that is probably just due to the phone having so much storage over these years. The cameras were fine. Nothing crazy, good or bad. I liked that I had the option of three cameras. The ultra wide camera was almost unusable in low light though, as well as the telephoto camera. The main camera was good but all three cameras did soften images a bit. I feel like for video this is about on par as most Android phones, but maybe falling a bit behind in 2022. It was fine for the almost 2 years I've had it but I wanted to move to something more clean, intuitive, and smooth. So I ended up upgrading to the Pixel 7 and don't regret it one bit.

Nice phone, my second Samsung since the S6Edge. A bit bigger than that version which is a bit clunkier for me. Prefer a slightly smaller size but did not see too many options in that range. Otherwise working fine to start. Easy to move everything over. Some changes to the interface as expected but pretty easy to navigate. Samsung still loads a bunch of crapware which is annoying but slowly cleaning things up. Otherwise a nice looking phone that is easy to use.

I’ve been a loyal customer to the brand HTC for my phones, but they no longer make them, so I had to make the switch. So far I love it. Having a new phone is always exciting, but there are so many features I’ve been missing not having a new phone for the last 3.5 years. There are some adjustments I’ll have to make. The phone is longer than I’d like and some of the functions are opposite than I’m used to. The picture quality is amazing. The camera takes great photos, though I haven’t fully played with the features. So far I highly recommend this phone!

This review is just my opinion on what I experienced while I was using this Samsung S20 FE 5g phone, I'm not a License Professional nor a Tech person just a consumer. What I like about Samsung S20 FE 5g are the features of the phone it was fast, & it has expandable memory like microSD slot, NFC, water resistance (as long as you don't dip it in a pool for a long time lol!), For internet connections it has a Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax 2.4g+5ghz Awesome!, Bluetooth, and for the Camera this one has a rear Triple Camera 12MP Ultra Wide (back) while in a (Front) for Selfie ones it has 32MP Camera perfect for taking pictures and use it in a mini photo box studio. When you open any Applications & scroll it… You'll see how smooth & fast if you try one. For a display screen, I was amazed how clear it was for watching a video in a 6.5-inch 6 Infinity-O Super AMOLED display screen with a super smooth 120Hz. The only thing that I don' t like is that this model does not have a dual sim for the price that I paid. I know all phones are very expensive but for the phone that is a hefty price they should have put that features as well. If you're looking for a dual sim make sure to double-check at the store first if they carry one. I was looking for a dual SIM, but unfortunately I have no other choice back then because they only have 1 phone available in their store. I'm not sure if all best buy carry a single sim model only since mine that I bought from the store was just a single sim model. Double check to the store if you need a dual sim instead because not all models has a double SIM card or a Hybrid SIM Slot, I'm sure some of them carry those double sim card model.

LOVE the color. Camera quality is quite similar to what the human sees there also seems to be a lot of functions, a lot to explore. Love that I can turn bixby off now and get a regular power button. Smart of samsung to keep the sd card for more storage an option, love it. Only complaints i have as of now are the fingerprint, doesnt always pick up my print at different angles and the front camera, dont think i can turn the beauty filter off, pictures still feel filtered.

Excellent device. The S20 FE has all the features I want in a phone, and it doesn't cost a ludicrous sum of money. A lot of users have reported touch screen issues with this phone, and while I do notice some input glitches here and there (my previous phones never had erratic behavior like this) it doesn't impact how I use the device at all. I have never owned a Samsung phone before (have always used nokia windows and android phones) and had a hard time getting used to the software/user interface at first, but after two weeks I've gotten comfortable with it.

The Samsung - Galaxy S20 FE 5G 128GB is a big jump for me. My Samsung Galaxy S5 finally gave out. This S20 is totally blown me away so far, I feel I've been living in the past for years. It's very easy to use and comfortable. Everything is easy to get to faster with the 5G. I'm also amazed with the camera and it's features. I'm learning still on what it has to offer, but truly amazed. Overall I'm truly satisfied with my purchase, and am looking forward to discovering all the features it has to offer.
