Got the S22 Ultra after having a Pixel 6 Pro for a very short period of time. The difference in overall quality is night and day. The 22 Ultra is far more reponsive than my previous phone, the screen is clear and bright even in direct sunlight, call quality (to inlude on speaker phone) is excellent, and the camera is amazing.

The phones cameras are great! But the only severe issue that really hurts the experience with this phone is the software. This is my first flagship Samsung phone I have ever owned. And my experience with it has been very, very poor. I absolutely was in love with my OnePlus phones, but the camera systems were not nearly as good as Samsung, so that is why I decided to commit to the $1,100 and get the best of the best Samsung had to offer, only for the camera system, but also for the processor. Firstly, for $1,100 for the base model, your only getting 8GB of RAM, which I feel is a big reason for the softwares lag, the S21 ultra came with 12GB of RAM for the base model Now to get to my reasoning for 1 star, One UI is absolutely Buggy, and slow. There is a really annoying, frustrating bug, where when I hit record in the camera app, it will not record, the timer doesn't move from 00:00:00. And apon going into Snapchat, Instagram, or any other recording app, you are not able to record, where holding down the record button in Snapchat will snap a photo, and using it in Instagram, the camera will just freeze. I googled it, and it isn't just me, it's a super annoying bug that everyone is dealing with right now, and you need to restart your phone EVERYTIME you want to record something, where than an hour or 2 later the same bug reoccurs... Another issue I'm having with this phone, is it's speed. Opening apps, and using apps is fine. It's when you are trying to multitask which is when the phone starts to slow down, and lag out, again, I'm 99.999% sure this is because of the measly 8GB of RAM, 4GB is used just to run android, and all the background apps, so you really only have 4GB of RAM to work with, and with today's apps and games, ect... 4GB is not getting you too far. Switching between apps is slow, when you are in the multi window screen, when you are trying to close apps, it takes around 2-3 seconds for that app to suspend, so when I swipe up to end the session of the app, the app is still running, and I swipe up in the app. So say I'm in Facebook, when I try to swipe up to close it, it will just scroll through my feed for 2-3 seconds untill the phone catches up with suspending it. Another major downfall with this phone is battery life. The battery life isn't awful, but it isn't great at all. On my OnePlus 8 pro, I charged it to 100% before I go to school in the morning at 9 A.M, same thing goes for this phone, my OnePlus by the end of the day, so around 9P.M-10P.M, it still had a comfortable 25-30% charge, but my galaxy, I'm finding myself having to charge it, as it's at 10%-15% by around 5 P.M, and I'm at work at this time. I put all my apps in deep sleep, so absolutely nothing is running in the background except the important apps I need notifications for, like phone and messages, and the phone battery just does so quick, even when it's not being used. I'll go to work at 1P.M, and work until 7P.M, the phone is on my pocket, not being used, and it will go from 50% at the beginning of my shift, down to 20% not being used at all. I just expected for a phone that costed over $1,000, as this is my first phone I ever purchased for over $1,000, I expected a way better experience.
