    Terrible communication

The amount of time it takes to get a preorder is ridiculous its been over a month and there is zero communication about anything! From other reviews clearly other people are dealing with the same problem but yet if I ordered it for shipping I can have the phone in 3 days which makes absolutely no sense at all! I thought the iphone 13 release was bad but this is a disaster! Last time I think all ever preorder with best buy!

A disappointing, OK phone with a great camera

I've had the S22 Ultra for a few months now... and it's still just an OK phone, and on that front, it works as expected, once you get past the cartoony Samsung UI. The best part of it, and the only reason it gets even 2 stars in my rating of it, is the camera system. The cameras themselves are great and the way they process the images make it an excellent point and shoot camera. Exactly what you'd want in a mobile phone cameras. And they're still great if you want to use the pro mode, which I love to use, to capture exactly what's seen and have more control over the image you catch before the camera app works its magic to overblow colors and make the image pop. Even the zoom lenses offer great color reproduction and clarity. And the ultrawide doubles as an amazing macro lens letting you get incredible focus when up close and taking pictures of small things. Then the ability to zoom in incredibly far for a mobile phone and still have an OK image is great too. It comes in real handy so I don't have to climb a ladder often at work when I need to read the tiny number on a tag or the serial off a piece of equipment. The only bad part of the cameras is the depth area of focus seems incredibly small whether in pro mode or default mode. And that's the extent of the greatness I've found. The phone itself and screen are huge and unwieldy. It's pretty much at the edge of being too big to be able to securely hold with one hand and tap the opposite side of the screen without either dropping or accidently touching something on the closer to your palm side. Plus the curved edges do nothing for the phone. They don't look good, and distort the screens images on the edge. But it is bright and colorful as I've seen with many other phones. Bluetooth audio connection is poor at best. As long as you're maintaining a constant distance and location from the device, it works well, but tilt your head or walk away and things start getting choppy or dropping out. Never had this issue with my old phone and my headphones where I'd basically leave my phone in one place and walk all around the house or where I work without issue. Another issue I find is trying to listen to or watch videos that have been stored on the device. I can stream audio or video without issue, but if they're being read from storage, after 30-60 seconds, they start getting choppy and then just stop. Which brings me to the battery, which is incredibly poor and far below expectation. I charge it more in a day than I did my previous 3 year old Sony Experia 1. It's larger capacity than my previous phone which only had a 4200mAh battery. I've tried different settings with lower refresh rates, resolutions, brightness... the usual stuff to save battery, and despite being newer with a bigger battery, and still only using it exactly as I did my older phone, I often feel like this is the older phone. The only savior for battery here is the Power saving mode, which is a must if I'm not going to be able to get a quick boost somewhere. Overall I wouldn't recommend this phone unless you're looking for a great camera and the Samsung name as it's definitely not worth the price tag on it, even at a great sale price like I got it for.

Worst preorder I've ever experienced. If you want this phone, I recommend buy directly from Samsung or your carrier. Purchased 2 weeks before release and zero communication from Bestbuy.

    Best Buy Preorder Shamble

Ordered the phone February 15, for store pickup on release Feb 25; now it is March 19 and I have had zero emails from Best Buy (not even one telling me my device has been delayed). I have been given no date, estimate, timeline, anything that would let me know when I’m going to receive my phone and now, I can’t cancel because I was given the incentive credit when I originally purchased and spent it on accessories for the phone which are now collecting dust on my shelf. Worst part is the phone is available for shipping and has been the past week and now available in store in 2 days but still no update on mine; feels like being punished for preordering and Best Buy has done absolutely nothing to atone or even just to explain away the horrible mishandling of these pre-orders. I CALL BS ON SAMSUNG’S RESPONSE that they are filling orders on a first come first serve basis because if I pay more right now, I can get the phone right away.

Not worth $100, let alone over $1,000

Bought this at a TMobile store when it was first available because the S20 I had had severe lag to do almost anything & it constantly dropped calls on wifi no matter if it was in my house with gig service or anywhere else with wifi. Like others have said, it takes incredible pictures AT TIMES. Try it in low light & it doesnt come close to the same situation on an iphone. It randomly gets extremely hot for no reason whatsoever, even if there isnt anything running in the background. Add in Samsung's lousy service & I couldn't even wish this phone on someone I hate. As it is, I'm already looking to trade it in for whatever anyone will give me & take whatever loss I have coming to me. After my 5th Samsung phone, they've lost me as a customer forever.

This review is specifically for bestbuy! Horrible service. I placed my order on feb 12, and it was a preorder, still not recieved, and the update says that we will let you know when its available for pickup. Like are you serious? You guys want us to wait indefinitely. Horrible horrible horrible! I wish there was a way to make bestbuy pay for horrible service.

Pre-ordered on 2/12. Release date was 2/25. It is now 3/19 and over a month and my phone is still not ready for store pickup and current status is "processing" which hasn't changed since over 30 days ago. What is going on? All my friends and family that have ordered from Samsung has gotten theirs weeks ago

I am not for bad reviewing a product based on seller's fault but good grief. Had i known best buy sucks at preorders I wouldn't have preordered from them. I dont know why but i feel like bestbuy is holding preorders in hope we cancel and just reorder and lose our gift card bonus. So annoying.

Advanced dementia patients have better communication skills than Best Buy when it comes to preorders. I preordered this phone over a month ago and they can't even send so much as an email apologizing for the delay or even offer some sort of gift card. By the time anyone gets one these devices, Samsung will be announcing the S23 lineup. Shameful.

Ordered my Galaxy S22 Ultra 2/17/22, since I was getting the run around making calls, I've decided to go to the Valley Stream store where purchased was made. I got word from this location they will CANCEL all orders. This is totally unacceptable and unprofessional!

Hi. I'm sorry to hear that you haven't received your order. Orders are being handled on a first-come, first-served basis. The demand for Samsung - Galaxy S22 Ultra 256GB - Green (T-Mobile) was greater than we anticipated, which led to the delay in shipments. I understand why you're upset, but rest assured that we are working hard to get all orders out as quickly as possible. ^Charles Samsung
