Ok phone but has issues such as a bug where video audio becomes out if sync, and bluetooth audio seem lower than usual. I kinda feel like they made this phone seem like a premium item while using some sub par parts.

I pre-ordered mine through the Samsung web site on 2/9 and got the phone on 2/22 delivered straight to my front door. I was upgrading from a perfectly good ZTE Axon 10 Pro from a year or two ago that also had 12 gb of ram and 256gb of rom so I was eager to see if the S22 ultra was any faster. The ZTE had a Snapdragon 855 whereas the S22 has the Snapdragon 8 gen 1. The S22 ultra was indeed faster. Apps load almost instantly, web pages load much faster, etc. I would say you will notice a marked difference if you're upgrading from any phone with 8gb of ram or less and any proc slower than an 855. The screen is simply stunning on the ultra even if it isn't 4k and the 120 hz. refresh makes all the difference. (The ZTE had a 60 hz screen) though it looked great too. As my new daily driver here are some things I like and some of the things I don't care for on the ultra: Pros: Design - I love the boxy shape and curved edges of the screen. Premium feel - It's a bit heavier than my ZTE, but that's okay. Premium build - It looks and feels like a flagship phone. Speed - Snapdragon 8 - gen 1; need I say more? Ram - You can never be too rich or have too much ram. Rom - If you're going to shoot in 8k you're going need as much rom as you can get, (though I only got the 512gb model). Screen - It. Is. Gorgeous! Camera - 100 x super zoom, (or whatever they call it). Camera stabilization - They really have improved it. Dex - This phone will double as a desktop computer, (yep it's that fast). Just add a spare screen, bluetooth keyboard and mouse and you're in business. Android 12 w/Samsung's UI on top. 4 years of promised Android and security updates. Cons: I'm not a big fan of the bloatware Samsung puts on their phones. Did I really need to upgrade? Nope Am I glad I did? Yep

First, these are goegeous phones. The build quality and asthetics are amazing. And fast! Thats where the plusses stop. The battery life is horrible. What good is the ability to charge other devices when the battery on the ohone itself requires at least one additional chwrge per day? I bought the 512GB version, so I couldnt care any less about the SD card slot, but tis a common complaint. Next is the throttling. Samsing has modified the OS so much it kills app IT feels dont need to run in the background - EVEN THEIR OWN WATCH SERVICES! I echanges the first phone due to poor battery useage time because Samsung insisted it was up to a teo day battery. The next phone was exactly the same. Sitting idle with no use and battery saver on, I would end up with 40% battery in 12 hours. With a few phone calls and other light use, id have to charge it conpletely only to end up with 12% battery come bed time. The third phone was purchased for someone else. They have the same issues. Now things have gotten worse! With the Android 13 update, literally everyone i know with this phone has had problems with the phones triggering SOS for no reason. Sitting on the nightstand charging and at 3am I’ve got the police department calling to ask if i was ok, which further warranted confirmstion bu fetting, dressed, and talking to an officer wasting bith if our time. The sad thing is, the only fix, right now, it to go into the SOS settings, chsnge the SOS phone nimber to zeros, thrn disable SOS. IF YOU DONT CHANGE THE NUNBER TO ZEROS IT WILL STILL CALL THE POLICE WHEN DISABLED. On top of this, this ohone is not mich of an upgrade from the Note 20 Plus! I wish i had kept that phone! Additionally, even while plugged in, these ohones suddenly start chiming telling you moisture was detected in the charging port! I work in an environmentally controlled area and have no liquids in site, yet it claims water is in the phone. Now im completely done with Samsung Phones. I bought a Moto Edge Plus (2022) and am much happier with a more stock Android and less manufacturer control.
