Customers are satisfied with the Galaxy S23 Ultra 512GB (Unlocked) for its excellent camera quality, long battery life, and powerful performance. They appreciate the built-in S Pen and stylish design. However, some customers are disappointed with the lack of a microSD card slot, the high price, and the heavy weight of the phone.

    The Juggernaut

The Juggernaut The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is an excellent phone. From the cameras, battery, display, build quality and overall performance. The cameras are spectacular. The 200MP camera is spectacular when you take a pic in great lighting conditions. The 4K video is excellent and very stable. The 8K/30FPS looks amazing but I rarely even use it because it eats up storage. The battery is insane, I can literally leave the house at 6am in morning with a full charge and get back home around 7pm with 20-30% left. The big 1440p/120Hz OLED screen is "Sublime". I highly recommend anyone interested in this phone to get the 512GB/1TB models because of the 12GB of RAM. Samsung did an excellent job with the whole Galaxy S series this year and especially with the S23 Ultra overall. This phone is the Juggernaut of 2023.

Ok phone. Horrible service in store. Had issues with phone disconnecting from wifi. Was told by bestbuy employee that if they don't see it happen they can not swap the phine out unless i pay a reatocking fee. Battery life is less than expected as well. Will not buy a phine from bestbuy again.

The phone itself is amazing, but don't buy the unlocked version. You wont be able to utilize many features from a provider, such as visual voicemail, wifi calling, spam protection...unlocked version even gets updates slower than branded versions.

Great Camera, But Missing Audio Jack & MiniSD Card

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

I'm coming from a S9+ phone that fell into the ocean. Biggest difference I see is that the battery lasts a long time (more than a day) and has the 5G going for it. The screen is more than good enough. The form factor though is too big. I wanted the 10x zoom camera so I have to put up with the HUGE size. I have XL hands and this is too much phone (more of a phablet). The camera lives to expectations of being a great travel companion but lets not fool ourselves. A stand alone $200 camera will beat this. It's all a matter of convenience. I will ding it 1* b/c it doesn't have the audio jack and mini SD Card slot which I sorely miss!! Otherwise true 5* all the way!

I used to be a huge Apple fan, but lately l've found them to be getting worse each year (arrogant, petty. non-innovative, anti-consumer, pro-shareholder at all costs). The notch/pill cutouts are terrible and ugly to me. Apple also believes in locking users in as much as possible because they know that without iMessage/Facetime being closed off, people just might see how stale their devices have actually become. Also, just try to plug a thumb drive into an iPhone's slow lightning port and see what they let you copy or even see. Hint: barely anything at all. This Samsung however, can do so much more. It has a much less intrusive punch-hole camera, a super fluid 120Hz OLED, an in-screen fingerprint reader, can record 8K30 video, has a 10X zoom camera, a pressure sensitive stylus pen, a physical SIM card slot, full USB-C support that lets you connect a monitor, an external drive, transfer files of all types, use DEX, and fast charge the phone. The Android OS is fast, smooth and lets you place icons anywhere you want (ios idiotically pulls them to the top making it annoying to arrange) and you can customize a LOT of things to your liking such as having a 4K60 HDR video as your lock screen.lf you don't want that overprocessed phone look on your photos, use the Expert RAW app with Adobe Lightroom to take full advantage of the excellent camera system. The camera can also record video at 4K60 with HDR10+ now with no limit and as one huge file. Lately, I've been taking 8K30 video and extracting the stills as they're very clean, but only in good light.Android Auto is excellent now too and I no longer miss CarPlay. I still use a lot of local music files and Poweramp is beautiful, clean and works fine in Android Auto. The S23U's battery life at first estimated about 20 hours on day 1, but after a week of use, it settled to about 2-3 days so I have no issues with it here. This S23 Ultra brought back the excitement I got from back when I used to look forward to each new iphone release. If Samsung brought back the headphone jack and SD card slot

I upgraded from the galaxy note 20 ultra and gave it to my mom. While that note 20 ultra is still amazing this phone is worth the upgrade for me. Only downgrade was no SD slot anymore.
