My $1,200 Galaxy S24 Updated Without Consent
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Title: My $1,200 Galaxy S24 Updated Without Consent — Now It's a Glorified Spyware Brick I bought this phone for work. I had auto-updates disabled, background packages removed via ADB, and system update services blocked. Samsung ignored all of it. Mid-task, while using the phone, it updated. No warning, no prompt, no consent. Afterward, my ability to call, text, and sync was broken. Support said: "You agreed to the terms and conditions." So I guess that means Samsung can hijack my device whenever they want, no matter what settings are disabled? The new UI is somehow less functional than the last one. Features are missing, layout is chaotic, and nothing is where it used to be. It’s like they handed the design doc to interns and said “just copy Apple, badly.” I don’t own this phone — I’m just renting it from Samsung, who can change it at will. Avoid this device if you care about privacy, stability, or control. I regret not switching to a de-Googled Pixel or custom ROM Android device. This was a $1,200 lesson in why corporate bloat and control will always ruin otherwise solid hardware.

Not able to return the item within return period.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am writing to file a complaint regarding my recent purchase of an unlocked phone with prepaid service, made on November 29, 2024. The phone was delivered on December 3, 2024. When I attempted to return the product on December 31, 2024, I was unable to do so because the return option was disabled online and it stated that the item was "No longer returnable." Prior to making the purchase, I confirmed with a Best Buy customer care agent that the Holiday return period had been extended until January 14, 2025. The agent also directed me to your website’s return policy, which clearly states: "Purchases made Nov. 1 through Dec. 31 have an extended return period through Jan. 14, 2025, excluding items purchased with a third-party contract (e.g., activatable devices such as cell phones, cellular tablets, mobile hotspots, cellular wearables) and AppleCare+ plans, etc." I would like to emphasize that I did not purchase the phone with any third-party contract, nor have I activated it with a SIM card. Therefore, I believe I am eligible to return the product under the extended return policy. Given the circumstances, I kindly request that you honor the return period and process a full refund for this purchase. I would appreciate your prompt assistance in resolving this matter. Thank you for your attention to this issue. I look forward to your reply.

No advancement in this new generation

Take away the curved screen and SD card slot and its kind of a downgrade. Way disappointed. If my Note 20 wasn't 3 years old with a degraded battery, i would have returned this phone.

Samsung S24 Ultra: A Costly, Flawed Purchase

However, my experience with the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has been nothing short of disappointing, and I can no longer recommend this brand. Shortly after purchasing the S23 Ultra, I noticed an issue with one of the camera sensors becoming loose. This defect causes a rattling noise that is clearly audible when recording videos in non-steady conditions, which is incredibly annoying. To make matters worse, this noise was not present when the phone was brand new, indicating a degradation in quality over a very short period. When I approached Samsung for a solution, they dismissed the issue as normal and refused to repair it. This response is unacceptable, especially considering the price of the device. It's even more frustrating to learn that this is a recurring issue with Samsung phones, and that the new S24 Ultra reportedly suffers from the same defect. The customer service experience has been infuriating. Instead of addressing the problem, they have consistently brushed it off, leaving me with a defective product that diminishes the overall user experience. This lack of support and accountability from Samsung has been incredibly upsetting. Given my experience, I strongly advise against purchasing the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. The phone's low quality and the company's inadequate customer service make it a regrettable purchase. I will certainly think twice before buying another Samsung product in the future.

Worst customer support ever
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Im going to caution everyone now about Samsung and their support. 3 months so far and they have not done anything to fix the ability to print from 2 of my brand new S24 Ultra's. I have with 100% accuracy proven to them that the issue is their software. I've been in IT over 30 years. Every support agent agrees, yet the office of the CEO after, without exaggeration, 30 emails have NOT responded. They don't follow up, every two weeks when I ask the status they send me a "bs" response like what is your Samsung Id/email. Are you kidding me? This is the executive support agent that I've been yelling at for 3 months. What is my id? I've purchased almost every Note phone since inception every 2 years and and opened 20 tickets on this issue and NOTHING. No fix after 3 months. They asked my to send them logs from my phone 2 weeks ago and today they said they haven't done anything because they do have my id. I want to shoot myself in the head!

Bad Costumer Service!

Went to exchange it for the black one I originally asked for the day after and they told me I had to pay $371 more because they no longer had that offer going on when it was their mistake to begin with. All I wanted was a different color!

Charge time is a joke

That is a DOWNGRADE from my S10 performance which would have charged in less than an hour.

The Galaxy S24 Ultra features a larger 5,000mAh battery, whereas the Galaxy S10 has a 3,400mAh battery. The S24 Ultra benefits from advancements in battery efficiency, such as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, which is designed to handle power more efficiently during high-performance tasks. Also, the S24 Ultra supports fast charging (45W) and wireless charging, allowing it to charge much faster than the S10. To use fast charging, you must have a charging cable that supports adaptive fast charging with a capacity of 25W. You will also need a 45W Travel Adapter. Super-fast charging will not function with a standard charger. We recommend using the USB Type-C, 5A charging cable that comes with the 45W charger. It has less colors Soun not so good Really bad finished around glass The s pan not flash to the button Blurry screen not vivid!! The battery drained very fast Camera not so good. Very blurry and focus doesn't do anything To much adds on each app

With regards to the display colors and settings after updating to the latest software you then must turn off Adaptive color tone (Adaptive color tone: Adjusts colors and white balance based on ambient lighting conditions to make colors appear more natural in different environments) Settings > Display > Adaptive color tone or Quick panel > Brightness bar > More options > Adaptive color tone. After turning off adaptive color tone, you will be able to adjust the color setting to tune the display to your liking using this guide. The intelligent battery like previous versions of the Galaxy S Series will increase the daily battery life over a period of usage and learn your habits and adjust the consumption to maximize the battery life to provide all day battery life. If you are not loving the photos you are getting with your camera app our first recommendation would be to disable the AI features for the camera.
