Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decided to give Samsung another chance after the S24 U failed me, just to learn they failed me again with this S25U. Got the 512Gb at a great deal $1099 and wish i could keep it but eventually had to return and i felt such a huge relief of the idea i will no longer be stuck with this phone. The experience was very inconsistent and unpleasant, especially the battery. It was just terrible and gave me terrible axiety everytime i look at the battery and seeing it drops unusually fast every other minute even with light usage and switching off tons of things in setting just to squeezy a little more of it out. Like many others have said, Apps UI is no match to iOS apps honestly. Everything just feels fragmented, outdated, unpolished and inconsistent. Many people might not notice this but to me the experience is everything. Camera was amazing but struggle a lot in low like conditions. Like i got this phone and use its 100x zoom specifically for zooming in shows and concerts but the quality was just terrible compared to a 25x zoom on iPhone. The good things about this phone is mainly its display, customization, and the freedom of Android in general. If you feel like switching from iphone like me, give it at least 2 weeks to see if it truly works for you.

Surprisingly disappointing

It has the SPen, It is almost like the S23 I had a few years back. That is kind of the problem. I guess I do not know what I was expecting. I decided to switch back from the iPhone 15 pro max (Long time android user, switched to the iPhone in early 2024 after like 10 plus years on android). Do not know what I was expecting, but I was fairly disappointed. The phone felt clunky. I had tried the Oneplus 13 previously for a few days a few months back and thought that was clunky, but man I do not know if it is just OneUI on the phone, because I have a Tab S10 series tablet, and love that thing, more than my iPad from 2 years ago. So much so that I actually bought the OP13, again, and am way happier. The battery on the s25 Ultra was horrible. I turned off background data for almost everything I did not need, restricted background apps from running, most apps, other than a few message/email apps and a few others, still horrible. Not impressed with the camera's, speaker audio really almost everything feels average to below average, even the screen, which Samsung is really know for, was really not all that amazing. Luckily I bought this on sale at $899. because man I would be even more disappointed if I had paid full $1299 for it. Unluckily, I am out of the return Window, which is my own fault, I knew from like day 3 that I was having some misgivings about it. Hopefully I can sell it on a market place for a decent amount. Again, there is nothing broke, nothing "Wrong" with it, I just feel it is not a good value.

Samsung No Go

It was fine until they kwpt doing updates. None of the updates have fixed it. My texts no longer sync up to my car through bluetooth, either. Calls are repeatedly dropped when I have multiple bars. I should have gone with the cheaper Motorola.

I have AT&T service and I was told my the salesman that they would show me where the phones are but Verizon customers come first. I asked for the store manger and was told he normal is not at this store because he runs more than one store. Not sure what that means. Had to go to At&T store to help with my concerns.

There is a big difference between an unlocked phone an one from a carrier.

The one Im using randomly turns off when Im using it. There of course plenty of ai features that arent options. You have to they on. No switch or option to turn them off. Came from a s22 ultra. Either gonna go back to it or go Apple. The display is ok but never bright enough The new ui sucks. You have to be very careful with your down swipe. It is definitely trying to be user friendly but it just a head ache. Be ready to add all you stuff back manuelly to your settings
