Moved from Galaxy S25 Ultra to S26 Ultra. By far the best camera I have used on a mobile device. Phone has been rock solid with no issues.

Nice enough phone, but not substantially different from my current S24 Ultra (which, honestly, I still regret trading in my S21 Ultra for). Even so I would have kept it, except that despite my numerous tweaking efforts my very sensitive eyes couldn't adjust to whatever they did to the screen. Right out of the box I found that blacks and other dark colors are not as rich or deep; whites have a chromatic abberation effect; and I felt nauseated after using the phone for even small amounts of time. No amount of tweaking the settings helped. Hard pass. It got returned.

The s26 ultra performs great but has terrible battery life. I specifically upgraded from my s23 ultra because the battery started requiring almost two charges a day or at least one full charge at work to make it home. I needed to he able to make it home without a dead phone if I forgot to chatge at work. Sadly the s26 ultra ended up being even worse despite being new and supposedly more efficient. I somehow have to charge more while also using the phone less to have the same battery life as a degraded, heavily used s23 ultra. The screen is amazing, build feels much better, just feels more premium but the battery life would have been a deal breaker for me if reviewers didn’t lie or exaggerat. The s26 ultra has less screen on time playing yt videos than an old degraded s23 ultra. The experience picking up the phone was another giant nightmare. BB scammed me with my previous laptop purchase so I shouldn't have been surprised that it took them almost 3 hours to just let me do my trade in and pic up the phone I preordered and paid in full for. For the first hour they tried to force me to purchase the phone a second time because they couldn't figure out how the promo trade in value worked. At one point I had 6 different employees all failing to figure out how to check me out. After standing around for almost two hours they finally start calling places for help to get an answer immediately. After that process I was then left holding my trade in phone for an hour waiting for the person helping me to come back and complete the trade in. I wasted an additional hour because I wanted to be honest and not leave with the phone that I already got the trade in credit for and was entered in the system as received. I never had such a poor experience before. I have never had such bad experiences back to back anywhere before. The ohone is meh but the shopping experience was a nightmare.

It is an excellent choice for a phone. It is pretty fast, the camera is definitely an upgrade, and the privacy screen is top-notch.
