    Samsung Galaxy 26 ultra phone

The sell point to me has always been the camera on any new Samsung phone. The other sell point was Best Buy doubled the gigabytes from 256 to 512. No other carrier including Samsung did that. Best Buy offered it free where others charged you for it.

Not really an improvement over my S23 ultra

The S26 ultra touts a couple of new features, notably 25 watt wireless charging and a privacy display screen. The fast charging requires that you have a case with a magnet, it doesn't work with the bare phone. It doesn't work with most cases, either, because they're too thick or don't align precisely. I have a Zagg "Crystal Palace" case, and I haven't seen anything faster than 12 watts. The privacy display works, but the screen appearance degrades significantly with it on, and the screen's still quite readable at up to about 45 degrees. If you're buying the S26 ultra for this feature, you'll probably be disappointed. The S26U has a faster processor, but that only really matters if you play graphic-intensive games on your phone. I play games, but only really on my PC or tablet, and many phone games aren't that demanding. The S26U is still a good phone, just probably not worth the upgrade if you own a high-end phone that's only a few years old.

    • Brand response from Samsung
      Posted .

Hi there GusS, thank you for taking the time to share your experience with using the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. We appreciate your constructive input as we improve our product line to best suit the needs of our customers. The new Galaxy S26 Ultra is a prominent upgrade from the Galaxy S23 Ultra. It features a faster Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and 60W charging. It's noticeably lighter as well at 214g vs the Galaxy S23 Ultra at 234g, thinner at 7.8mm vs 8.9mm; the S26 Ultra offers a refreshed design, stronger armor aluminum, and superior display anti-reflective coating. You are correct about wirelessly charging your device as the Galaxy S26 Ultra lacks built-in magnets thus requiring magnetic cases for charging in this method. The new Maximum Privacy protection mode has been designed to enhance privacy effects more than the standard Privacy mode. In this mode, pixel operation control is used to strengthen privacy effects, which may cause slight color changes or a blurry appearance on the screen. While this increases privacy protection, it may also make the screen appear somewhat hazy. If you find this uncomfortable, we recommend using the standard Privacy mode. Rest assured, this is not a product issue, so you can continue using it with confidence. If you would like to share additional feedback with us or if you would like further assistance, please feel free to reach out to Support. Thank you for being a dedicated Samsung customer. - Debra Samsung

The camera is amazing even though it did not have a big improvement, the phone has an incredible feel and is well built. The Samsung ecosystem is known for its incredible usability and compatibility, which makes it a great experience.

The phone is very smooth, lots of features and the camera is amazing. I went from the galaxy s22ultra to 26ultra and it was worth it. The battery life is also amazing and the built in privacy screen is a really nice added feature.

The s26 ultra is a lot lighter and faster the previous generations. It has 65w charging capacity which can get to 80% in 30 minutes. I like the phone, specially with the big promotion from Samsung

Solid phone, haven't had any issues with the screen like some have reported. Traded in my s25 Ultra, so not a large difference. I use a case, and so it does take a fingernail to extract the s-pen. No real complaints here.

S26 Ultra, so far liking it. My only current issue is that the bluetooth disconnects by itself. By the looks of it other people are having the same issue. Other than that its a great phone. S25 seems sturdier imo. Im definitely liking the privacy screen. Battery definitely last a long time. Sometimes i use it all day and it has Battery until the next day.

I worried a lot about the screen after reading reviews, but it has been plenty bright enough and viewable at an angle. Mail ordered it so I could copy everything over before sending my old phone for trade-in.

Great Phone, Great purchase. I have had a google pixel phone for a while now. I am so happy that I switched back to Samsung. Wish best buy had the pink phone color option, but I got purple instead.

I’m glad I got it, especially with the trade-in promotion. I had the Samsung S23 Ultra and thought there was no way to improve it, but the Samsung S26 Ultra feels like a noticeable upgrade.

I've had this phone for about a month or so far it's been perfect. 20 of power to do everything that I need. I love to display. Don't really use a privacy display but that's pretty decent also.

I bought this phone for the s-pen and the camera. It takes great pictures and the s-pen lets you be creative with them. The phone screen is crisp and the speakers in it aren't bad either.

Great hardware. Great photos. Speedy system. Top of the line Android phone. As a negative, the battery doesn't hold up as well as, say, a OnePlus phone. Barely get a full day with very light use. Possible software issue-I sometimes get ghost rings after calls have been completed on the voice app (no pattern).
