I’ve been using the S26 Ultra for a week now, and Samsung really nailed the refinements this year. The new Privacy Display is a game-changer—it’s great knowing the person sitting next to me on the train can’t read my texts. It feels noticeably lighter than the S25, and the move to the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 makes everything feel instantaneous. If you’re looking for a phone that does everything at a pro level, this is it.

Amazing camera quality, very easy to use. The battery last for a long period of time making me barely charge it. All the new features are great and makes the phone feel way more advanced.

    Samsung S26 Ultra Review

The phone is great as expected although the display has gotten worse from the S25 Ultra it still holds to be top quality screen despite the compromise for the privacy screen, which hopefully improves over in time. The customization that the phone offers this year is unprecedented, allowing me to customize my phone in ways I never even realized. Battery size seems to not have been improved from the last couple of years which is not surprising as costs are rising. The camera is phenomenal, offering professional grade photography that most people will probably never use but it's great that it's there, although, a major pet peeve that I do have is that focusing on objects close up is near impossible, which hopefully gets improved later. The AI features are what I expected them to be, features that most people don't use and can be considered bloat to advertise the phone, some features though are useful like the live translations and transcription and spam call assist are pretty cool. The performance of the phone is amazing, it is without a doubt, the best performing phone on the market, being able to become even a desktop with Dex. Overall, the phone is a great step towards progress that really teases what the future holds for smart phones and really showcases what smartphones are capable of by being a supercomputer in your pocket.

A Good Phone with a Few Kinks

Ive had the phone for 2 weeks now. So far, no major gripes with the screen like people say. It does get a bit pixellated but only on privacy mode. I switched it in settings to use the maximum resolution and a keep my brightness above 40%. That said, the privacy display helps but isnt as private as expected, the angle viewable is still pretty wide. The tech and implementation especially the software level felt a bit rushed. Im positive it will improve with time. One annoyance is turning on privacy for notifications make them difficult to read fron a vertical angle if the phone is flat on a table in front of me -- id have to be bent directly over the phone to read them. And it only applies to pop up notifications the ones in the pull down notification menu are not private. I think samsung switching to a thinner font has reduced readability overall, especially in privacy mode and it might have been purposefully done to reduce visibility at angles. But i can see this happening on older phones as well... A gripe i do have is the phone is wider than my old 23ultra which makes one handed texting and typing cumbersome. Im constantly missing keystrokes. My hands are between glove size small to medium mens for reference. The improved aspect ratio is nice for content but i preferred the taller slimmer design and curved display edges of my old ultra. The S pen is thinner and feels more delicate, I also have had it click out while in my pocket due to it being closer to the corner of the phone and less flush.... Vibration settings by default are less pronounced so im going to have to dig into settings to try and fix that. I really like the new default notification sounds its much smoother than my old s23 The phone is much faster than my old s23 and battery life is about 20-30% better so thats a huge plus. It also felt much mugh lighter in my hands and i would honestly prefer it had a little more heft/presence. Camera is a bit underwhelming so far. I think the software wasnt ready yet. For example I noticed when switching lensesthe photos dont have the same tonal ranges and colors. Focusing is slow and janky sometimes.

Product is great - Delivery was not

I'm loving my new phone. Camera, customizations, speed, and graphics are great in my opinion. Delivery was a real hassle. Which is why I gave 4 stars. I received an empty box from FedEx on 3/11. Immediately called Best Buy CS. Was told to go to the store in 2 days (3/13) and a replacement would be waiting. I called on 3/12 to confirm that the replacement was ready and was assured it was. I show up on 3/13 and was told by store personnel that there is a process in which to go through and that usually take at least 5 business days. The store personnel was great and understood my frustration as I had driven 45 mins to be told there was nothing they could do. I was informed that their CS was actually located in a completely different country and they truly don't know what goes on in each individual store. I left the store and immediately called CS again and vented my frustrations. I was told that my issue would be prioritized and I would receive and email within 24 hours. Roughly 48 hours later, I get the email and send the requested information and within a few mins of sending that email, they released the replacement phone. Had CS been up front about their process, a lot of my frustrations wouldn't have even happened. There needs to be better communication from CS to the customer. Best Buy did make everything right and I received my replacement as promised. I want to thank the store personnel at the Lexington, SC location for being up front and explaining everything and taking the time to help me through this whole process. FYI, don't ship electronics to your home if there's an option for pick up in the store. Apparently, delivery drivers like to cut a little slit in the corners and take the product before it reaches you. Ship to store and pick up there is best. My lesson was certainly learned and will follow this going forward!!

I had a S23 ultra, which I loved. I decided to go for the S26 ultra with high expectations. I don't see a huge difference. The screen quality is unmatched, and the 60W fast charging is a welcome (and overdue) improvement. Pros: The 5x optical zoom is crisp even at 50x digital, and the anti-reflective coating is better than ever. Cons: It is still a massive smart phone. If you don't like "brick" style phones, you might struggle with one-handed use. Also, the camera bump is huge, definitely buy a solid case at Best Buy when you pick this up.

This phone runs more smoother, and charges very fast. The toggable privacy screen makes opening bank or sensitive information in oublic more comfortable withiut any peeps. Resolution is more smoothly but doesn't have much glare protection, probably for the privacy screen. Battery last the WHOLE day only ever charge once per day

My review about the S26 ULTRA

I've been a Samsung user since many years. my honest review about the S26 ULTRA after using it for 1 WEEK • First let's start talking about the previous S series that were doing perfect.. especially the S25 ULTRA which felt the peak of what a smartphone could be. I like companies are just trying to add those extra layers to reach "Absolute perfection" and ofc sacrificing some things (eg: Bluetooth in S PEN, Titanium frame...) • The main marketing hook this year is the privacy screen.. and we can say that the screen technologies are a Samsung thing.. From a sales prescriptive the feature is a massive selling point and some customers are buying specifically for that feature.. But for me I don't even use it unless I customise it for PINs, Passwords...etc. .. I really prefer to have them more than the privacy feature. I like : Performance. The video capturing especially if u dive into the PRO settings. The Ai image editing (text to image) is unlimited. The colors look more vivid. It feels premium more than the S25 Ultra.

Excellent performance, amazing camera and battery life — feels premium, though upgrades over last model are incremental. Handles day-to-day tasks smoothly with no lag, even with heavy apps and multitasking. Battery easily lasts a full day with regular use, which makes it very reliable.

I came from an iPhone and briefly played with the Pixel 10 and also the Fold 7, but in the end, this phone is the sweet spot. Polished OS with the same Google apps, making it feel like an iPhone, yet more polished experinac ethan the Pixel phone. Bright screen and lots of customization options. I only use the screen privacy fro banking app, which is nice when in the store or traveling. I really don't use the pen, but neat feature. Photo are crips and excellent zoom quality.

Much like the sky blue that I previously reviewed, this phone is an excellent addition to the Samsung line and provides a wonderful option when looking to upgrade from an older version. The price is honestly not that bad, considering I paid the same amount for a new Samsung five years ago. If you're looking to save money, using a phone carriers contract plan will probably be a good option. The phone is a little bulkier than the previous models and has a sturdy feel to it. The product works as it states it will and is certainly a pretty color.
