Junk junk junk
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had this phone for a year and 3 days spending every day in a case. The phone deleted every picture I had of my daughter from newborn to 6 Months. I lost everything! Samsung states it was a hardware issue with the memory in the phone and refused to warrant the issues.

Galaxy S6 Edge 64gig - Black
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this after owning a Samsung tablet for 5 months. The SM-320 Pro 8.4. I liked the Android interface much better than the Google Nexus7. Having an Apple 5S for work I knew I liked my Samsung interface better for its touch-screen keyboard layout. My Palm Pre3 was finally breaking into pieces and I had to give up a physical keyboard. Much easier for me to type with the S6 than an Apple product. I use the SideSync 3.0 app to answer phone calls while on my tablet. Apps are fast to open and run and phone calls are clear. The 5.1inch 577 dpi screen is incredible and unassailable, as of now, in the phone world. Retina is a good marketing ploy but this is where its at. Knowing I can start my camera in less than one second (0.7 sec to be exact) is very nice. I always dreaded needing to record something on my old phone and needing to unlock the screen and open the slow camera easily took me 5 sec. That is a thing of the past. Phone is a very beautiful sapphire black that can be described as black pearlescent in nature making it look bluish from some angles. The case is the same color. I find myself flipping open the windowed flip case cover just to look at it. Opening the case turns on the screen as it should. I got the windowed flip cover for the S6 NON-Edge phone and it works fine although I cannot see the "Edge" display when its closed. A properly Edge designed flip case would use a shorter cover to make the right-hand "Edge" useable. I really like the view window of the flip case that allows me to see the time and weather without opening the cover. The case is not Ideal as the phone answer and camera icons do not move up into the window as they would with a S6 NON-Edge. Not sure if the window is a non-scratch or scratch resistant material as I have only owned it for 3 days. Maybe thats why the cost is 10 times the cost of EBay flip cases? Service at Best Buy was fast and professional. Transferred 6+gig of data, video, and photos accumulated on my old phone in about 30-45min. Samsung rep was present and helpful as well. Turned me on to the Samsung Owner's Hub.

Beautiful, Fast, Battery Eater
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from a Samsung S4. Night and day difference in speed response. Feels great in hand. Easy to use if you know samsung, and i suspect the same could be said if you don't. Not happy with the battery life. Lite use gets about the same battery life as i had with my two year old s4. I hope for some software updates to aid in extending the battery life.

Upgrade deal!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Previous phone was an Galaxy S3. Was going to upgrade to an S5 when it was on sale but waited too long and they sold out. Glad I did. Now the S6 is on sale. So far loving the phone. Only regret is the lack of expandable memory with a micro sd card. A lot of features I like so far and the sound quality is surprisingly good. Now all I need is either an Otterbox case or a Mophie case.

Decent Phone
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. While not the greatest phone it is better than most out there. PROS: Great camera, easy set up, the finger print scanner is awesome, built in wireless charging is pretty nifty, and fast charging makes up for the shi te battery CONS: Shi te battery, as I mentioned, it is a smaller NON-REMOVABLE battery than the previous model, I don't know why but all phones ever want to do now is log into some WiFi source whether you want it to or not, ANNOYING, the mail app sucks boll ocks, All in all, if you want a great camera on your phone this is a good choice.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Don't have a prob with phone. Called ahead to store in North Bossier City LA informed phone was $0. After a two day visit to store to get a free phone then begged to cancelled but resulted in a lease payment plan for 2 years and loss of an eligible upgrade. RIDICULOUS!!! Never again...

Apple who?
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Loving this phone like you wouldn't believe. Huge leap up from my Galaxy S4...the S6 is super responsive, has an intuitive OS and is faster than Barry Allen on a caffeine high. Everything about this phone is well thought out, from the menus and systems to the much extended battery life over its predecessors. Plus, I can charge it with the same micro USB cable that powers my camera, MP3 player, PS4 controllers and more. When Apple gets on board with the rest of the world and stops making everyone buy their overpriced proprietary cables and chargers, maybe I'll give them a shot. Until then, it's Samsung for me.

Excellent device for everything
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I finally broke from my long-term relationship with BlackBerry. The first few days were difficult but glad I did it. The Galaxy S6 and apps are great, and since I bought a Samsung tablet at Best Buy several months ago, both the Samsung and Android functions were fairly familiar to me. Within a few hours, I removed some of the apps I don't care about and easily downloaded others, using either Google Play or just doing a voice recognition Google search "OK Google, get me the ABC app." Several things were driving me crazy, however, and the sales people gave no satisfactory answers. But I found solutions so let me share them here. The biggest problem was how to sync my contacts and calendar between the S6 and Outlook on my PC. No one seemed to have a decent answer. Samsung rep at Best Buy said: Buy Microsoft 365, download it onto both your PC and the S6 and sync that way. Seemed reasonable, especially since a personal license is now $65 #first year# for three devices #PC, tablet and mobile#. Unfortunately, Microsoft 365 wouldn't download correctly, Microsoft customer service never called me back even though the web said I'd hear from them within six minutes, and several YouTube videos say the Microsoft instructions actually don't work and then try to show how to do it. Wow, you'd think by now they'd have this down. Plus, I already have all the Office functions on my PC and you can now get mobile versions of Word, Excel and PowerPoint for free at Google Apps so this seemed stupid in retrospect, especially since it didn’t work. I looked at various apps that supposedly do the sync and even posed a question on various user forums. No solutions. Then an engineer friend told me to try Sync 2, which gave me free use for several weeks and I can then buy a one-time license for around $39.95. Went to their web site, downloaded their software onto my PC #that's the only place where it's needed#, found the on-screen instructions amazingly understandable, and watched as their system then moved my contacts, calendar and tasks to my existing Google account even though I’ve never shared contacts or calendar with Google in the past and even though I don’t use Google for my email and still don’t. Sure enough, everything got transferred into my Google account, and when I went to my S6 to see how I could then sync my contacts and calendar on the S6 with my Google contacts and calendar, it turns out the S6 had already synced since it already had my Google account name and password. I find the S6 is now regularly staying in sync, in slightly different format from Outlook but something I can easily get used to. I also find that when I now send any emails, as is the case with Outlook on my PC, the S6 email system draws upon my contacts and when I do hands free calling, including from my car, I get the same great interlinks. In other words, Sync 2 keeps my PC contacts and calendar in sync at Google #even though I largely don’t use Google# and my S6 in turn uses that Google account to do its sync. A great solution. You'd think the techies would realize that the millions of us who actually use our mobile devices for work would need something like this. Second, unlike my old BlackBerry #which always gave me a choice# or my Samsung tablet, whenever I deleted email on the S6, it was deleting the emails on the servers, which I didn't want since I archive important emails on my PC. Sales people said: then don't delete your emails , and it's a problem with your Internet service provider anyway. Wrong. If you explore the settings on the S6, about three levels down #from email accounts, not general settings -- it's definitely NOT intuitive#, there's a place where you can set the handling of incoming email on each email account you have linked to your S6 – “always delete” or “never delete.” I switched each account to “never delete” and the problem is solved. And finally, my signature lines were looking awful, and many web forums said there was no way to fix this. But I found one forum that had an amazing solution: Send yourself an email with the signature block the way you want it. Then cut and paste it into the S6 signature block as the default for each email account you use on your mobile. Perfect. Another problem solved.
