Broke in 4 days
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We got the Samsung instead of an iPhone based on the clerk's recommendation. He told us that this phone is indestructible. Big mistake! The first time my son dropped it the glass shattered. Very expensive lesson learned. Stick with the iPhone, it is far more durable.

Broken glass
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is samsungs "durable" phone. Within 2 weeks the lens over the phone has broken. Samsung will not fix for free even though they say you can drop it from 6 feet. Now the lens is broken so it is also no longer water proof. Not worth the money. Buy a different brand.

Major purchase regret
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Is not as durable as they say it is. Easily scratches an easy to break the screen. The gold coloring scratches off extremely easy.

Amazing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This phone is a beast, I'm getting on average two days of battery life. The phones lives up to the "active" name and then some. Love the camera, 32gb of build in storage and the ability to add more if needed.

Fantastic phone!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently upgraded from an LG G3 to a Samsung Galaxy S7 Active and boy what a difference! This is a rugged phone that is perfect for my profession. The S7 Active has everything the S7 has and more such as the side active key & 4000 mh battery. I was so impressed with this device I got my 12 year old son one too. So far I have no complaints.

Rugged S7?
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Everything you love about the S7 with a bigger battery and no glass back (I am a metal and textured kind of guy). Best camera for phones right now, love that camo.

Not phone to have without a case and insurance!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For features I alone I would have given it five stars with one taken away for Bixby. For the casing of the phone, I would give it two stars. I upgraded from the s5 that I loved for three years. I like most of features of the s8...but still not particularly crazy about the curved glass on the sides making it harder to protect the screen and there is Bixby--we have not come to a place of good understanding yet and I really do not like the physical Bixby button; I hit it too easily too often, but I have since remapped it so that it is now my camera button. However, those points are things I decided I could live with when I bought the phone. I also thought that the slippery glass casing and the prone-to-cracks back side was something else I could live with because I would have it in a protective case, but the case I ordered had not yet arrived when it slipped right out of my hands while taking a picture. Now I have a cracked back. Looking at reviews by customers who actually use the phone, I would say this is so very common than it is a serious flaw and that some of these cracks on the back happened when the phones were in protective cases and the screens did not crack. Still, I do not see how this phone will last for three years like its predecessor. What was Samsung thinking about that back side casing? I would have preferred to keep my s5. It was far more durable and it had a far more graspable casing on its own. I hope Samsung is listening and makes a more durable phone or this will be my last Samsung and I will let my husband convince me to be an iPhone convert.

S7 Active has some nice features more than a S7
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.S7 Active is essentially identical to the S7 feature wise, however, it packs with something more than the S7. For one the screen is tougher, claimed by Samsung that it's a shatter-resistant screen, plus it comes with a battery with more juice, 4000mAh vs. 3000mAh.

Great Service From Best Buy - Samsung Blew It!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hi, I purchased a Samsung S7 Active from Best Buy in November - great service and awesome product! Loved it at first. I sent in my Samsung S7 Active for repair under warranty in early May to their Texas service center for a line of burnt pixels on the screen. It was confirmed as received by Samsung on May 22nd. As the parts needed for repair were not available I was offered a replacement device which I gladly accepted. A Samsung representative called me on June 13th asking which replacement device I would like and assured me it would be shipped out shortly after. Disappointed that this process took nearly a month to determine the issue with my phone, I was still happy to have a replacement device on the way. On June 20th I had yet to receive a tracking number for my replacement device so I called Samsung Customer Support once again. I was told that the replacement device had been approved but would take approximately 7-10 business days, a contradiction to the earlier statement another Samsung representative had made. “Shortly” isn’t exactly two to three weeks since you promised a replacement. I received confirmation in writing that my replacement device would arrive in 10 business days from June 20th. Come July 5th, no phone had been delivered. Understanding that these things sometimes take an extra day, I called back on July 7th. The Samsung representative (Ayesa) acknowledged that a problem had occurred with my exchange and that she would escalate my ticket to her supervisor (Jay) and that I should call back tomorrow (Saturday, July 8th) for a resolution. I called back on Saturday, July 8th only to find out the Executive Customer Support team does not work weekends. I was told specifically to call back at a time the correct team wasn’t even in the office. A grand waste of my time. Another Samsung customer support representative (Christian) pulled my case ID on July 8th and assured me that at the latest I would receive a replacement device by July 11th (14 business days) since the June 20th approval and nearly two months since I sent my phone in under warranty. Here we are on July 11th and I have no replacement device. I called again and was informed that the Executive Support Team was once again off today and tomorrow and that I should call back on July 13th for a resolution. A customer support team having nobody to answer the phone during regular business hours on a Tuesday and Wednesday (non-holiday) sounds like a poor excuse for having no clue as to what’s going oin. At this point I have spent 7-8 hours on the phone with Samsung Customer Support with no resolve and their disregard for my business is absolutely astonishing. Never before have I been treated so poorly as a customer and flat out lied to by a customer support team over the phone and in writing! I have lost hope for having my phone replaced and am frustrated that I have paid a bill for two months for a phone not in my possession in addition to losing the value of the original purchase price of the phone. This customer support is the worst I have ever had. Apple just earned another customer. Samsung, if you’re reading this my repair ticket ID is #4143205705 and I would appreciate a phone call.

Great Phone exept the screen is easily scratched.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I Love almost everything about this phone upgrading from an s5 active. Exept the screen scuffs if you so much as breath on it. I bought it Friday and not 2 days later it has very fine scratches in it. I know your thinking I should have used a screen protector. I gladly would have had Best buy actually sold screen protectors or cases for this phone.

Do not buy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Do not buy this phone, I had it 2 days, I was working in my garage had it on my pocket, I bent over to reach something few minutes later I grabbed my S7 active to make a phone call and the screen was cracked by the bottom buttons, never fell or anything, I have my note 4 for 2 years fell dozens of times on concrete and never broke, took it to best buy they told me to pay 150 to replace it, not happening, Google this problem and you'll find lots of peple with the same proplem, this is my first time ever writing a review.

Bad cable port and customer service at Murrieta
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had the phone for 2 weeks and my Samsung S7 Active does not charge and I have the protection plan. I came into the store at 10am today, and was turned away due to new policy for claims. I tried utilizing the online system and had to call the 1-866-205-4388 number. They told me that I have to come into the store again to process. This is going to be fun considering that the customer service representative was rude. The phone wont charge wirelessly if it is completely dead and the port is flimsy.
