S7 Edge feels a little Cheap

I had to replace my Note 7 for this phone. It does not feel anywhere close to the quality that the Note 7 or even an iPhone feels. Screen nice but no where close to the Note 7. Same edge features, but nothing special. To me the phone feels a little cheap.

    I'm so glad I waited!

So far I am really happy with this phone! My Note 2 could have been upgraded quite awhile ago, but I didn't like any of the phones out there when I was hunting for a new one over the past year. And I was completely disgusted with the direction Samsung was going when it didn't allow us to change the battery - but worse yet, it didn't even allow us to add the extra storage which was a major advantage Samsung phones offered over the iPhones! If I had wanted all of the annoyances of owning an Apple product, I would have BOUGHT and Apple product. These things are too expensive to buy one that isn't everything it should be - and like most people, I need and want as much storage as I can get . I do not want to have to worry about pulling it off of a cloud when I am in a place without service. I do not want to be tied to one company forever because all of my stuff is being held hostage by the company and/or cloud service that controls my phone. I want control over my own storage, thank you very much, although I do use several cloud services to store and transfer digital files (small to huge) for my work. So instead of dumping money into the disappointing phone options of the past year, I waited. The minute I heard what this new Samsung S7 Edge offered, I was sure I wanted to upgrade to it if the hype stood up to the reviews. First of all, I have a very nice 64 GB SD card that Best Buy provided for free with a pre-order of the phone and I have moved all of my important personal and business files onto the new card and still have plenty of room left. As this one fills up, I can simply remove it and replace the card with another one, but keep my files if I want to. Second of all, I don't ever want to test my phone by getting it wet. But it's nice to know that if the phone gets wet by accident, there is a very good chance I'll still have a functional phone afterward! I have never bought a phone without waiting for other people to purchase and review it. I have always chosen to wait awhile for all of the new-phone kinks to be worked out of it. But I'm so glad I didn't wait this time! The S7 Edge does have a couple of teeny little kinks I've noticed - nothing at all big, or even anything that I would go so far as to describe as "annoying", but I figure they are the types of things that might be tweaked during updates. Actually, as I write this, I want to share what those "kinks" are, and they are apparently so very small that I'm staring at my phone and can't even remember a single one of them! Yup! I LOVE this phone! I absolutely would recommend it to anyone who needs a phone for business purposes, as I do.

We had software issues from Day one the Samsung agent tried to justify that a update and reset would fix it, he did do the reset and did not work. Happily switched over to my 1st iPhone "iPhone 6 Plus" probably the best decision we made.

S7 Edge is Great but Screen is Not Repairable

I bought a new Galaxy S7 Edge and was loving it for the first couple of months until I dropped it. Despite being in a case the Gorilla glass shattered when it hit the ground. The digitizer under the glass is undamaged but the design of the phone is such that the glass and digitizer are fused. Replacing just the glass is impossible so what would have been a $60 glass repair is a $450 glass and digitizer repair. I'm not going to fix the phone at that cost so I carry around a phone with a shattered screen. I paused before writing this negative review about a phone which is terrific otherwise but this is a problem that buyers need to be aware of.

The phone can overheat when charging causing a slow charge, and it also doesn't always open apps from links properly. If I click a link from my email it will open it in a Web browser instead of the app that I have set as preferred.

I upgraded my Note edge to the S7 edge, the only down side is the screen scratched almost immediately!! I have owned the Note 3, Note 4, and the Note edge. I miss my Note but changed carriers! Sprint is much better than AT&T!!

My only complaint about this phone is the touch screen. Sometimes I feel that it does not recognize the touch and when the keyboard is close to the edge it is even more difficult. Wish I would have bought the regular phone.

The glass easily breaks on the edges. The edge of the glass broke in my pocket with my car keys just walking around, other than that love the phone. Samgung needs to make the glass on all thier edge phones stronger!

I have never owned an android, this is my first and I honestly don't see what all the fuss is about. It is still to early to fully say how I will think about it in the future once I get the hang of it.

I have this phone due to Note 7 recall. It's the closest thing I could get to a Note 7 but please understand that it's NOT a Note 7. All in all its an OK phone with a few perks.....bring back my NOTE!!

I take quite a few pictures in my line of work. The phone has a lot of features. The only drawbacks would be that the battery draind very quickly and it tends to heat up quite a bit as well.

The edge apps is a great idea, but not a benefit for me. Also apps suggested to often for download. I have an app that I can't disable or remove that was downloaded per the phone request.
