Amazing phone, but no talking & surfing seriously?

This phone is seriously gorgeous, powerful, and amazing in every way but one. Unfortunately it's a big flaw by today's standards... you cannot "talk & surf" at the same time. In other words, while you're on a phone call you cannot use the internet, nor send an email that you were just writing prior to the call, etc. This problem was quite honestly a total shock to me as my previous phone was a Samsung Galaxy S4 - which had no problem whatsoever multi-tasking like that, ever. I had my old phone for three years and I multi-tasked calls and data usage all the time with my Galaxy S4 in fact. It turns out that the Samsung Galaxy S4 (and Galaxy S5 too for that matter) have dual antennas - one for phone calls and one for data connection. So the much older Samsung phones worked great. Apparently Samsung - for whatever reason - decided to cut some corners and remove the dual antennas on all the Galaxy S7 phones. This is really bad news if your phone carrier uses the CDMA cellular system (like Sprint, Verizon, others...) as CDMA cannot accommodate talking & surfing simultaneously. The only way around this problem is if you are connected to a useable Wi-Fi network somewhere - which is just a bandaid, obviously. If you want to talk & surf on a Galaxy S7 phone then you'll need to have a GSM system phone (like AT&T, T-Mobile, etc.). This is a deal-breaker for me. I take business calls all the time while I'm emailing, or need to look something up online during a call - business related or not. With my Galaxy S7 on this network - I need to excuse myself from the call and hang up first, then look up what I need quickly, then make another call and hope to continue where I left off with whom I was speaking to... not so easy when you're on a conference call or speaking to a specific customer service rep about an issue you have. My smartphone is basically my do-everything device, and it should be too. By 2016 standards this is ludicrous and totally unacceptable. Samsung failed to continue using dual antennas and these CDMA networks (Sprint & Verizon namely) cannot handle multi-tasking without the right phone. You'll need a phone with dual antennas or buy a Galaxy S7 on a GSM network like AT&T or T-Mobile.

It used to be you would pay a couple hundred dollars for upgrade now you pay $700.00 to $800.00 for a new phone that will be out of date in 1 year. I bought it and regret it tremendously. I hope you don't.

    Glass easily breaks/shatters! Poor quality!

Screen glass broke on a "drop" of less than one foot. Phone was cased. The glass does not stand up to any fall it looks like. I settled on this phone after the two recalls on a Note 7. Wish I would not have done so. Now I'm stuck with a phone with a very shattered screen. Because of the many recalls I got wrapped into, I missed adding any insurance on the phone, yet alone my wasted time on TWO RECALLS of the Note 7. S7 Edge is not worth it for the glass issue. I have been very loyal to Samsung, but not so much now. Read the internet, I'm not the only one with the screen problems!

The infinity screen subjects yhe phone to a higher chance for the screen to be damaged. Once the screen is cracked the average replacement cost is $280.00

    Great phone!

I've only had my phone for a day so far, but I absolutely love it! It's sleek, fast, and good looking. It has so many features, I doubt that I'll use them all...but the one thing I like is that it's fast, and it was easy to transfer my content over from my old phone (S5). I also love the really big, clear screen. The clarity is especially noticeable when using the camera feature. It also works great with my Gear 2 watch. I paired it very easily also with my LG blue-tooth headset. This phone doesn't come with a built-in music player but you can easily download one for free from the play store or any other internet store. My old phone, for some reason, had become sluggish and unresponsive in some cases and had become quite cumbersome/frustrating to use. I haven't decided yet what accessories I will get with it, not until I visit the store and see what all is out there. And finally, my only concern is I'm afraid I'm gonna somehow drop it!!

Basically does it's job by covering the screen's majority of surface area, but got caught up in my phone case causing it to peel at the corners almost immediately

As I said biggest piece of $@!t ever. Both Sprint and Best Buy talk it up but are quick to blame the other for you being unsatisfied and want you to pay to get out of it. It gets hot quick, starts and runs programs in the background for no reason, keeps programs running after you force stop them. Battery life is unpredictable. Service is unreliable, phone drops calls with full antenna. Screen is a pain due to EDGE. I wouldn't give to my most hated person.

After day 14 Best Buy does nothing for you and your purchase. Told to contact the maker of the phone for warranty. Totally screwed up sprint phone plan. Told monthly bill would be $94.00. Bill came in for $358.00. Took over 5 hours on phone with sprint to clear up errors. Will never ever by a phone or large purchase from Best Buy. By the way, have to return a defective rechargeable battery charger that i just purchased. Failed out of box.

If you text/type a lot don't bother with the s7 Edge. The keyboard is screwed up because the wrap around screen. It makes it hard to type.
