We bought this upgraded phone for my husband. There are many new upgrades but the two favorites are probably taking screenshots which give you the option of including the whole article/ page vs previously taking multiple screenshots tho include all the information. The camera is our favorite. The colors and clarity are significantly better than my S6. GREAT PURCHASE!

I've read some negative reviews and lots of great reviews. As to the negative reviews I would like to say that ANY phone will break if you drop it hard enough, IF it's not protected by a case. Buy a case, don't be cheap and skip having one. A phone is an investment. protect it from day 1. It's a great phone. It works well. I'm very happy with mine. Stop ragging on Samsung. Nobody is perfect. Mistakes happen in any company. Let go of the past. Accept each new device on its own merits and quit judging it based on a past device.

I love the screen unlock features such as the convenience of not having to unlock at home or other specified locations. That feature only worked for the first month though. Now it works occasionally. That's the reason I removed 1 star. I hope other features don't stop working so soon. It also gives the option of not having to unlock when in my car (or using another Bluetooth connection). I hope that keeps working. The iris scanner is a great way to unlock the phone. It even works while wearing my glasses. When scanning my irises during setup, I didn't wear my glasses. The fingerprint scanner is in such an awkward location that I don't use that. I use my voice sometimes but not often. Many times I'm not in a place where I can say "OK Google" loud enough for it to work. It doesn't work consistently. I like the Edge menu on the curved screen. It comes in very handy. It saves time by giving me a quick way to access apps, contacts, calendar, etc. without having to minimize an open app to find a shortcut. Saving time is key to me. Accessing the camera by pressing the power key twice is the easiest and most reliable way I've ever been able to get the camera open quickly enough to not miss an unexpected picture opportunity. I love that! Battery life is much longer than other phones I've had. It also charges fast! 64GB of internal storage makes a Huge difference. I've always used SD cards with my phones and tablets but with Samsung products, the internal storage would constantly fill up anyway. This is my favorite phone. I just hope other features that I love don't stop working.

It took me three years before I changed phones (Samsumg S4 to S8+). I must stay this is my best mobile phone yet. The Samsung S8+ takes the clearest pictures I've seen, it has a lot of space (64GB), large screen and easy to use. LOVE IT

My husband has a Galaxy 8+ and I have an iPhone so we’ve always competed with each other on how great our phones are. He has swayed our teenagers to his side. He has swayed me too because this is a very cool phone and the camera is amazing. To me that’s the best part. My phone is new and I wish I could trade it for this phone. I’m a longtime iPhone user.

I went from the Galaxy S6 to the S8 Plus. Transferring old phone information to the new one wasn't as straight forward as I hoped, but once I got some settings right, it went ok. The main issue I have is it's size and the fingerprint detector. It is a little awkward in my hand and doesn't fit in compartments in my car. And I need 2 hands to unlock with fingerprint. That wasn't the case with my S6. The battery life is great though. I can go an entire day, 8am to midnight without charging. And I would say I use it quite a bit. I don't freak out when the battery gets down to 15% either, as I know that will last a while.

Switched carriers and had to trade my S7 edge for this S8 plus. Display is amazing. Much larger screen for only a little bit larger phone. Even faster phone. Iris scanner works great but not outside. Battery life is good. No complaints.

i have had samsung phones since the galaxy 3 and now im on the 8 plus...the great thing is each phone always out does the one before it, i have never taken a step back in technology by ungrading the 8 plus is no exception the large screen size (infinite screen) is a amazing touch and make the phone seem much larger than it is...the phone is very comfortable in my hands...there is no way to list all the great features of this phone here so all i can say is google the reviews and you will see what im talking about! Samsung did it again!

Love this phone! Absolutely no problems or complaints! Battery life is extraordinary! Took me a bit to get used to the new home and back buttons but that was no sweat! Picture/video quality is great and the infinity screen is awesome!

I have a love/hate relationship with Samsung products. They are beautiful to look at but they struggle to function at a high level beyond six months then they become expensive paperweights. My previous phone, Galaxy Note 5, suffered from overheating and poor battery life which made the phone a distraction. I am happy to say that Samsung has corrected their issues and the Galaxy S8+ is almost flawless. The hardware is amazing, the screen is beautiful and the battery is long lasting. I have yet to experience any overheating issues which is a record for me. My Note was getting too hot within the first 2 days of purchase. The only flaws are the software (Bixby is useless) and the security features (Iris, fingerprint, etc.). All in all, those flaws are annoying but not major enough to be a huge deterrent.
