The Galaxy S9 has been great so far - have been using for almost a year. As a Galaxy fan, this certainly lived up to my expectations!

    Seriously flawed

After being a part of the iPhone cult for my last two phones I decided to switch over to Android, especially after the whole slowdown issue due to Apple's batteries aging. I really wish I shelled out the extra $10 a month to get the iPhone X now because the S9 is the worst phone I have ever owned. That's not just hyperbole... I've owned a cell phone pretty much since they became commercially available and I am having a hard time thinking of a worse phone I've had. Texting on an Android phone is a nightmare. The autocorrect is bafflingly bad. It autocorrects words that I've spelled correctly into WORDS THAT AREN'T REAL all the time. I suppose the silver lining to this is it's getting me to stop texting and start calling people more often. Bixby is the most useless and bloated phone assistant on the market. Within a week of owning this phone I looked up tutorials on how to completely disable Bixby and it's moronically placed button on the side of the phone which I've accidentally pressed several times and been kicked out of apps I was working in. Out of the box there were several mainstream apps that simply did not work with the phone. I exclusively use Spotify and was unable to install it without figuring out a workaround. Coincidentally the phone comes with Tidal pre-installed. Tidal is trash. This is without a shadow of a doubt the LAST Android phone I will ever own. Apple has its flaws but at least their phones work the way they're intended.

This is my 3rd Samsung phone. I loved my S6, but after almost 3 years the battery was weakening and a cracked glass face called for an upgrade. The S9 is not as good. Bixby is annoying and at some point I'll delete it. The camera is not good. The resolution is poor. Blowing up pictures even a little leaves picture without detail or focus. Like mosaics. The processor does a good job navigating and completing tasks. Look closely at other phones before purchasing.

    Absolutely atrocious

I have really enjoyed Samsung products through the years, but the Galaxy S9 purchased through Spectrum is horrible. The first phone they delivered not only had bad sound, but the digital "assistant" sounded like she was having a hard time getting out of bed. And then, when I dial a number, I was prompted to "redial the number without pressing send" (with the keyboard covering up the number) -- a real pain in the proverbial (think buttocks). Spectrum sent me a new SIM card -- same problems. After five conversations with customer service, they finally sent me another S9 -- same problems! I know this is not a Best Buy issue because I did not sign up for Spectrum Mobile through Best Buy, but either Spectrum got a batch of S9 lemons, or the product is just very bad.

    I hate the Samsung S9

The cellphone is not user friendly. The camera is horrible. I have had the S9 for 2 months and still have not been able to take a decent picture. If I could return it and get all my money back I would get rid of it. I miss my old Motorola phone. And when I am texting all of a sudden what I am testing disappears. Have not been able to figure out how to just have contacts on phone. The battery also drains too fast. I truly HATE this phone. I should have never changed from my Motorola phone.

    S5 camera is better

Very upset. My s5 is starting to slow down so my husband "upgraded" me to the s9 for Christmas. All of the photos I took with my new s9 of my children opening presents are BLURRY. Upon researching, the s5 had a 16 megapixel camera and the s9 has a 12. I wouldn't be so upset if I had researched this before capturing photos of my kids opening up their presents. Now I have all blurry photos to look back on from this Christmas. Thanks Samsung.
