No big complaints so far. Runs very smoothly. Only con I've found is the battery life (3500 mAh) isn't as great as I was expecting. My Samsung s7 Edge (3600 mAh) seemed to last significantly longer when I first bought it. The biggest upside- the photos are spectacular. I am a reseller and my photos are my lifeline to my business. This camera produced incredibly detailed photos, accurate color representations, etc- see attached photos as an example. The blurred background effect for selfies is pretty nice too ;) Despite the battery life, the upgrade has been pretty worth it.

I upgraded from s7 on Verizon network to this. I received my s9+ 3-4 days early. Had to charge it, came with no charge. First day it updated system 5+ times the next day it updated system an additional 5+ times. It works great. I've been using it for not even a week tho. So far other than all the updates it had to do which is understandable my MAIN problem is I can't get it to show its activated so there are some features/apps/etc I can't use. System wizard says phone not activated. I called Verizon first rep couldn't help but I couldn't wait online for tech support. I can only hope they can get it worked out. The curved edge takes some getting use too sometimes the keys on the edge don't want to tap and the arrow back and home key seems to not work occasionally. I wish I had an actual button on the home "button" though. Won't be good if screen cracks.

I upgraded from an S6 to this S9+. I knew it was a larger phone, but I didn't realize just how big and heavy it would be, especially after I got it into a case (Otterbox Defender). I'll get used to that, and I suppose it's part of the tradeoff for the big, clear screen and longer battery life. I do love that screen, and the battery life is way better than I'm used to. The OS and apps do have quite a few bugs, for example I can't get it to not time out and go black while I'm using it, if I pause for a few seconds that's it. Facebook no longer shows a # on the badge to show how many notifications I have, and Message+ shows up on the notification bar as if I have messages, but it's actually stuck at "syncing messages" and I can't dismiss that notification. I absolutely love the fingerprint unlock, I was worried that with the Otter in the way it wouldn't work well, but it reads so much better than the S6 that it works without a hitch almost every time. I'm a little disappointed in the camera, it takes great pictures but often seems to take a long time to auto focus, as did my old one, making it hard to get a good candid photo or a pic of something that's happening right now. The storage is huge and it will take me a while to even get over half full, but I don't download a lot of music or movies, I just store my photos, apps, and documents. It was super easy to connect to my Windows 7 computer, just plugged in the USB, waited a minute, picked photo transfer and browsed the phone. Overall I like this phone, I guess for the price tag I expected near perfection and it didn't quite achieve that.

Came from LG G6, S9+ camera is the #1 for me

I snagged the LG G6 last Memorial Day for dirt cheap. I figured I could live (again) with a "less than the best" camera. I lasted a year before I couldn't do it anymore. The cameras on the S9 are very satisfying, especially the low lights. I've just pulled out my phone, clicked a photo, and done. The shutter speed is also lightning fast. Other greats: - Stereo speakers really do make a huge difference. I love them. They're no JBL Moto Mod, but they're much better than other phones. - Phone is lightning fast (at least to me). Everything is instant and fluid. I've seen no lag. When I first got it, the phone was faster than I was. - Battery life has been very good. I typically go 14 - 16 hours without a need to recharge, and that's being at home using it after work. - The size/weight takes some getting used to, but you adjust. The G6 was the "perfect size" to me, but after a month I've gotten used to this. The flick actions for top and apps helps as well. Overall, I know I'm not using this phone to its full potential (and I'm an IT professional) but it's by far the best phone I've had. I'm glad I didn't skimp out on cameras again. My only gripe would be Verizon's petty move of charging NINETY dollars more than Unlocked (and now through Samsung.com). Total carrier money grab on VZW, AT&T, & Sprint.

Having used a Galaxy S6 for 2.9 years, I was expecting only modest improvements. But the S9(+) is mind-blowing in both its form factor and capabilities. The facial recognition is handy, and seems to work well, the fingerprint reader is excellent, although placed next to the twin camera lenses, the phone is fast and fluid, and battery life seems enormously improved. Bixby is kind of stupid, a half-baked attempt to emulate Google Assistant, but may improve over time. The S9 multi-tasks with ease, and adds many new and useful features to this top-of-the-line mobile. The camera is sharp and versatile, and alleviates the need to have my DSLR in some situations. The Edge feature is highly customizable and handy. One disappointment is that the Bixby button just below the volume controls can be de-activated, but not reassigned to another function, leaving a useless button. But aside from a few minor quibbles and quirks, this is a gorgeous and powerful piece of cutting edge technology.

I am a Samsung guy. Went from S5 to S9+. Old phone was great for years but dropped it one time too many. For me this S9+ is fast, beautiful bigger screen than S7 and S8 I looked at, easy to use, nice in hand for better grip, light to carry, great camera for my use. Best Buy transferred my info from my old S5 phone to new S9+ and setup my phone with Verizon network... for free! I saved at least $250 on phone alone, plus what I saved on tempered glass screen protectors and protective case over what Verizon charges, so at least $300 overall. Extremely happy with phone and Best Buy service and staff!

I ended up upgrading to the S9+, But first, a shout-out goes to Brandon as he done a phenomenal job explaining my "dilemma" of the BOGO offer that Samsung was offering on the S9+. Plus, Best Buy was offering $300 off the S9+. Also, I was debating on adding a new line and giving it to a relative as a gift. Brandon showed me in great detail all of the various and cheapest options available, as Verizon recently (again) changed their unlimited plans. In the end I couldn't add a new line due to budget concerns that, once again, Brandon explained to me thoroughly. And, so, I ended up purchasing just the single phone online since I was not able to make it back to the store the next and final day of the sale. I did not feel as though in the short or near-term future that I was going to get any "surprises" on my new bills. As it seemed that Brandon went above and beyond explaining and even calling Verizon to verify that the BOGO offer was valid with BB's $300 off the S9+. Talk about fantastic customer service. Ok, now to the phone, I have had it about two weeks now. It seems just as fast as when my S7 Edge was new. The camera, though, I am getting use to with all of the new features. However, I can tell you that picture quality is much better than my old S7 Edge. Shipping was fairly fast and activation was a breeze(Verizon). Overall very satisfied with my customer service experience as well as the phone, too.

Wow! What a difference from my Samsung Galaxy S5! I'm one of those persons who only upgrades when my "old" phone is close to dying. Fast performance and great customization for individual apps are just 2 of the many pluses. I just have the charger that came with the S9+ but for a "plug in the wall" method, it's still pretty darn quick. I get almost 2 days use from a single charge. I don't use my phone extensively throughout the day but this phone may change that. I do plan on getting a wireless charger later unless Santa takes care of that for me. Not as much "bloatware" but I still deleted the apps that I could while others only allowed me to disable them. However, the broad options to control app accessibility to information such as contacts, phone, storage, etc., and the notification control settings offer a lot of ways to block what you want. A couple apps only allow a "force stop" so I turned off all permissions and notifications plus I list those apps to be "put to sleep". So far this seems to work. I'm still working on getting my contacts organized since they are on the Samsung Contacts app AND Google's Contacts app. I also discovered that my email and device folders have the contacts listed too. None of these lists uploaded the same! Names mixed up and not alphabetized along with most notes missing. Why am I not surprised?? And I backed up everything on my S5 then used the Content Transfer app to help set up the S9+. Well, at least I have something to do when I can't sleep. It's boring enough that I'll fall asleep sooner than later. No wonder I'm not through yet. . . . . . . . The color "Sunrise Gold" is much more appealing than the usual gold or rose gold tone -- kinda unusual, like me. For a much larger phone than I'm used to, the S9+ isn't awkward to hold. The screen is so clear with beautiful colors. I'm not tech savvy but this phone isn't difficult to set up or use (except for the contacts issue). I highly recommend this phone. The quality is outstanding and its performance is solid. So I think I'll have this phone for a while too -- at least long enough to give the thin "foldable" phones time to have any "bugs" worked out as these next new models hit the market!

This thing is the big reason I left iPhone in the dust. The S9 is an incredible platform. The battery lasts, the processor is fast, video is true HD, sound is great and the phone learns your personality, in a way. Your voice, typing habits are all picked up by the phones computer and it adjusts to you. This is great for GOOGLE TALK, BIXBY, and texting..Be sure to buy an otter box or something similar to protect your investment. The screen is very large and like everything it should be protected

I am really happy with this phone. I like the size of the screen and the large active area. The camera takes great photos and I can't wait to try more of the new camera features. The phone is very fast. Compared to the Galaxy S6 which I had previously, this S9+ loads apps and web pages significantly faster. I was amazed at the difference in performance. The display is very crisp and clear. Battery life is very good even with the "always on" display. Purple color is pretty too.

I owned the first Samsung Galaxy smart phone. I had S3, S4 note, S5, S7, and this beautiful S9+. It's crazy fast. They have finally gave it some RAM so it can breath. Plenty of processor power to do anything you want to at this point in life. The camera takes sweet pictures too. Unless you have larger hands its kind to hard to swype from the left side of the keyboard to the right due to the magnificent sized display. I am more of a physical home key guy but I am old but it opens the screen up. The iris scanner is really fast to open up the phone. The finger print reader is easy and opens up my apps faster than the S7 and no issues trying to read it. The battery life will get you through all day with bluetooth and location on. I unplug it at 5 am and its at 25% at 10 pm at night. Wireless charging or new C type are both 2 hours. I feel Samsung has finally ironed out any bottle necks through processing any feature. It's a bit pricey but i believe the features are covered well for it.

Again like my s9 review my only gripe is the android 9 updfate being forced down my throat. android 9 kinda ruins some functionality. again like an example. the nav bar. they added the swipe up feature to navigate.. dumb and pointless. the old nav bar was double tap it hides and swipe up once to expose it . like my old lg g6. other than the gripe its a great phone regardless. i wish samsung gave you more freedom to control your own phone. the camera is reaaly sharp it also holds a long battery charge. i can use it most the day and it will be at 50% and i recommend this phone over the s9 because its size is just right. people griped that it was too big... it is not too big. only thing im afraid of its the screen breaking. and get a good case the phone itself is slippery it will slip out of your hand!

I got the S9+ and waited to try it out before reviewing it. I must say that I was extremely surprised at how great this phone turned out. Overall the screen, UI, ease of use, battery life, screen resolution, CAMERA, screen size....etc etc. I can go on an on about th features this phone brings to the table. I had a Moto G5+ and this destroys that phone and the memory of it. The customization is also an added plus and so are the hidden features. Honestly you would have to buy this phone to understand what I mean cause I can't explain how great it is. The negatives are that the touch screen has bad performance with screen protection despite an option to make screen sensitivity higher because of screen protection, battery life could be better even tho it is not the worst, the touch screen sensor location is poorly placed. And lastly there are some extremely annoying features that need to be disabled cough Bixby cough along with others. And yes you will need to Google or Utube how to disable. I would definitely urge this phone as a must despite these few shortcomings
