It wont find your stuff like a gps tracker can. And there are a lot fewer people to ping it as compared to an air tag. But it will get you close enough most of the time to find your stuff. The phone ring option doesn't always work. Not sure whats up with that. Not super often, butaround 1 in 15 times it just wont ring my phone.

The Ultra band tech helps you get regular updates. Left my car at the airport for 3 weeks and was able to see it was still there and find out when I got back.

Posted .Good day Ferg, thank you for reaching out to share your feedback with us regarding your experience using the Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2. The advertised Galaxy SmartTag2 relies on passive Bluetooth Low Energy and a network of passing phones, rather than direct satellite connections for location purposes. The SmartTag2 utilizes the SmartThings Find network which consists of many other "findable" Galaxy devices that work as beacons by sending out signals. Once these beacons detect a signal from a device that is being sought out by its owner, they will relay that information to the SmartThings Find network; allowing you to see the approximate location of where your lost SmartTag2 last transmitted its signal. Other Galaxy users that are participating in the SmartThings Find network help with updating your SmartTag2's location within the app. The Galaxy SmartTag2's location updates occur when it's within 120 meters of a Galaxy phone with Bluetooth enabled.
