You needs this for your Galaxy S8+
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, when I initially started using this keyboard I thought I had a bad keyboard. Sometimes when I used it, it failed to register keystrokes. I would have to stop and go back and press the keys again. I was actually about to go back to the store and exchange it for the same keyboard thinking I had a lemon. Luckily, I found someone online that had the same issue, and had a fix. It requires you to disable bounce keys. This feature tries to prevent accidental key presses. Once I toggled this off, the issue I was having with it disappeared. The case aspect is great, the magnetic, kickstand back is great, and I enjoy using the tablet like this most of the time. The keyboard magnetically snaps in place when you need it and easily folds all the way back when you don't need it again. The touchpad also works really well. Another side note to mention is that I really like that when you connect the keyboard you get a popup to see if you want to enable DEX mode. If you have never used Dex you should do yourself a favor and give it a shot. It really makes the tablet into a productivity device. This is what other tablets should aspire to, and this is coming from someone who used another brand of a tablet for many years. Great keyboard, a great trackpad, great kickstand case. The only thing I would say is negative is that this is not a case to protect the tablet from a drop, mainly just to increase productivity and protect the screen when you are not using it.

Must have accessory, very pricey
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Keyboard Bookcover is a must have if you use the Tab S7+. I have found that the S7 and S7+ official keyboard book cover is better than the S6's as it connects via magnet and no longer has that adhesive which was very disappointing. The keyboard easily connects to your Tab and you sets up Dex for you to use. The travel on the S7+ was really good (I have small hands), and I felt that the trackpad, although very plastic feel, was very responsive. The viewing angles can be adjusted as it has the same kickstand design like the Surface Pro 7 line. This does feel awkward if you are trying to type o nyoru lap instead of a raised larger surface (i.e. desk). On the back, above the kickstand, is a slot where you can store teh S-pen so it would charge and not get lost. The one major con about the official keyboard book cover is the cost. Original MSRP is $199 but I was able to purchase it on sale at Best Buy for $119. At that price it was a no brainer. Overall, this is a must have accessory if you have the Tab S7+. This allows better productivity.

Great, but overpriced, and not for protection.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wouldn't buy for full price, but it's a great keyboard attachment system. Fit and finish perfect. Keyboard is nice to type on. I wouldn't want to drop the tablet as this is not for protection really. If I could improve it I would like back lit keys and more protection from potential drops and damage. I found on sale for nearly half off and that's much close to eat you should pay for this, if not less. It's fantastic, but not worth over $200.

The Keyboard Helps Turn your Tablet Into A Laptop
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A number of months now into owning the Samsung S7 plus, I i be using my tablet as often as I do without the Samsung keyboard and case. As with nearly every review I've read, using the keyboard with Samsung DEX really expands the potential of the tablet. The DEX experience, owes it's look and feel to Windows. Many of the functions from Windows are used to good effect here: opening and resizing Windows, the ability to pin tasks and apps to a Taskbar, etc. The keyboard is lacking rear lit keys which is why only 4 stars but it does have a dedicated row of Function Keys that's extremely helpful. The only true downside isn't Samsung's fault - it's just that Google hasn't been all that interested in developing the Tablet platform and the apps that populate it, So some of your more familiar and favorite apps from your Android phone might appear differently than they do in Android - land. Hopefully, all the great work Samsung put into making this tablet a worthy competitor to Apple will cause Google to re-evaluate their estimation of Android on tablets. As I wrote at the beginning of of this piece, I spend nearly all my time on the tablet using DEX and that's because the keyboard makes it so easy. I thought the keyboard was very high-priced until I discovered Best Buy's price. That price was better but IMO its still high for a keyboard. However, if you get the keyboard case , I think you'll agree its money well spent . And I believe you'll find for the price you've literally doubled the possibilities of your tablet.

Huh?
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I expected a little bit more from Samsung requesting that its consumers drop $230 on this plastic non backlit keyboard cover. I'm a flat keyboard/scissors keyboard fan, there should be a better product at this price point. Knowing the limited market, this is almost insulting. This could be a clearance bin item that you see passing by it month after month. If you must have a cover, seriously make your own. Use a few 12" tortillas, staple the ends together and slip your tablet in it pita style...still better than paying $230 for this plastic library toy box item. The prop up hinge in the back is good but like maybe $100 US dollars good. Just shocked. Oh and The branding says that the cover is for an S7 when it fits multiple models like the s8+. Samsung just shouldn't have model branded it because it's now incorrect for the model of tablet being used. The heck. Lastly I feel like there was some type of argument in development about whether or not we deserved magnets in this keyboard, instead of just plastic poles that you shove into the side of the tablet. But the argument probably ended with the fact that you have to pay $1,000 for their tablet so you might as well get these three mini magnets to help it snap in to place. There are little rubber spacers on the corners of the keyboard so when it's against that fat amoled screen of beauty it's also protecting, it won't scratch it. I think that's where the money went. .

Samsung ought to be embarrassed
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This keyboard is so flimsy that I don't use it. The last three times I've traveled with it, a key has fallen off. I'm not exactly rough with it, either. Also, when it folds over onto the screen, the "hinge" is made of a flimsy vinyl, so the keyboard shifts back and forth across the screen and doesn't cover it fully most of the time. Samsung ought to be embarrassed that they put this product out. Apple also charges these astronomical prices for their accessories, but at least theirs can survive a few hours in a laptop backpack.

Where functionality meets form, style, and beauty!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The words that come to mind when I think of Samsung products: reliable, powerful, and sexy. That's basically all anyone would want in any form of tech. After buying the Galaxy Tab S7+ last year (which was my first ever tablet purchase), I knew I would immediately need a case for protection but I really didn't think the prices for the official Samsung book covers (with or without keyboard) were justifiable. I balked at the $230 MSRP and ended up buying an aftermarket ProCase cover for $15-20 on Amazon. So it has been on sale for a couple weeks now, and I knew I had to get it. Once I opened it up and got it all attached, the realization came to me... this official Keyboard book cover is a dream. This is probably some of the coolest tech up there with things like Microsoft's Surface keyboard cover, the Xbox Elite Controller series 2, and even Nintendo's Switch Joycons. Unlike the aftermarket case I have, it does not cover the edges/sides of the tablet so if you did drop it on one its corners, it may fall out or become damaged or scratched. Yet the magnets that hold the tablet to the case are very powerful and I sat in bed with it attached to the tablet, trying to shake the tablet off of the back of the case with the cover open. It wouldn't bulge even a bit! Compared to the regular Samsung Book Cover, this Keyboard Cover has a couple improvements. Whereas the regular book cover has only 2 upright portrait viewing angles, the keyboard cover can be docked at any angle as the flap on the back cover is freely foldable, being attached by a very sturdy hinge. On the opposite end of the back cover from this flap is yet ANOTHER flap covering the tablet's S-Pen which is great for protecting the pen while it's charging--something the original cover doesn't have. The keyboard is fantastic, magnetically snaps on very easily, and works just it would on a Windows PC except you're doing everything on Android and on a super fast tablet. I once thought I'd buy a Surface Pro to complement my desktop gaming PC but once I bought this tablet last year and then just now bought the keyboard cover, I feel like I all set with a fully functional powerful tablet laptop! I really like the level of protection I get from my aftermarket case, but every time I remove it or put it back on, I'm almost always weary of scratching the sides, So this case being fully magnetic is preferred for being able to constantly attach and remove the tablet. Though I think I'm more inclined to travel with my aftermarket case and maybe use the Keyboard Book Cover for extended sessions at a local cafe. Is this worth the full $230 MSRP? I don't think so. Is it worth buying during a sale (like the half-off $115 active price now)? Possibly yes. I managed to get my price down to around $90 with tax using Best Buy rewards. That's an excellent price for getting a really cool, sexy, and functional accessory that could make your tablet browsing a little easier and potentially replace any PC or laptop unless your activities are things like high graphical gaming or deep video editing. While it doesn't offer full protection, I realized that the sides of tablet always being revealed really show off the sexy form factor of the Tab S7+ and Samsung's consistently creative design philosophy. If you're on a budget, you could probably just go with the original book cover or an aftermarket case. When I bought the Tab, I was mainly planning on using it to save paper for piano sheet music while playing on my piano keyboard, but I've gotten into composing music a bit, so when I need a qwerty keyboard, I also have a very inexpensive mini bluetooth keyboard that can sit on my lap or at the edge of the piano keyboard while leaving the tablet sitting on my music stand on my piano keyboard. That, too, is an alternative option to the official keyboard cover.

Excellent keyboard, mediocre cover, horrible price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The cover attached magnetically and the keyboard is separate which also attached with magnets. It snaps on convincingly with authority and stays in place. There is no protection at all for the edges of the device so if it takes a fall this will likely not protect it . This is more of a cover to prevent light damage to the screen and back.... if you have a screen protector you will notice little scratches from the keyboard. I'd rather it happen to the screen protector than the actual screen though. The keys are snappy and feel good under the fingers, they are a bit short/flat with minimal travel but they are easy enough to type on. This is way over priced for what it is. The only reason I got it was because it is the only thin and light keyboard case that is easily removable for mounting the tablet to a gooseneck. 250 is robbery. It really shouldn't be more than 75 and even that's pushing it .

Does not feel premium
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price, one would expect a premium and well-rounded product. This product is lacking in the premium department, but it is packed with features that can easily make up for the shortcomings. For starters, the magnets are fragile. I found myself accidentally removing the keyboard part of the cover off while trying to flip it back to use it as a regular tablet. The back magnets are perfectly fine, and I have not had it fall off or slip off, even when reaching for the S-Pen. The S-Pen magnet, though, is weak itself. Without the case, the pen would be lost. Samsung purposely made it that way, so there is some incentive to spend additional money on their case. Secondly, the trackpad is not what you would expect at the $200 price range. It is not as accurate as a proper one, and it does require some polishing with the way it handles shortcuts. An example that bothers me personally is scrolling with two fingers. It feels wonky and becomes unresponsive if you do it a little too quickly. Third, this keyboard does not have a backlight. Good luck seeing the keys in the dark. That is all. This product feels extremely overpriced. I estimate this will not last me the entire year. With all that being said, you have no choice; this is the best cover you will find for the Tab S7+.
