The bottom has a small indentation that holds the pointer. This prevents the pointer from being lost or misplaced. The top cover operates correctly. I recommend it for this model.

If you plan on using it for your lap or somewhere that is not a flat surface, once you move it arourd it comes apart. Other than that it is a sturdy case that will protect your tablet.

Samsung provides a 12-month warranty on our products for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. It sounds like the back cover might not be sitting perfectly flush with the camera lenses, causing a weak connection point. You may need to clean both the back of the tablet and the suction sections of the cover using alcohol wipes to remove dirt and oils before realigning your book cover. Operates a lot faster than my old one. Took me awhile to convince myself to pay the price but glad I did. Bought the 256 memory so it should last be for awhile.
