Wow, the Galaxy Z Flip3 is finally the foldable technology ready for the masses! I've sat on the sideline for a few years eagerly anticipating a proper foldable phone and I'm happy to report that it's here. Build quality is brilliant, the display is vibrant, and the functionality is quite nice. If you're an Android fan or if you're already in the Samsung ecosystem, this upgrade is an absolute no-brainer. However, if you're an iOS user, like me for the past few years, the transition is tough. I used Android from 2008-2018, switched to iOS, and got deep into the Apple ecosystem. Adding the Galaxy Flip3 into my tech routine was too jarring. Samsung's software, despite all of its improvements over the years, is still too slow and jittery for me. There's always a debate over Android vs. iOS, but in my opinion, iOS is just a lot more seamless and sleek compared to Samsung's UI. A foldable Samsung phone with Pixel software? Winning combination. Anyways, as I mentioned, if you're upgrading from an older Samsung or Android device, this is perfect. If you're going from iOS to Samsung, this is hard to recommend.

Actually the phone is great in every way. The thing was buzzering me was the battery. But last week I discover an app(share it) is taking 33% of the battery without even used it so I deleted it and I got an update for the software. So the battery now is very good not as good as iphone max or s21 ultra but it holds most of the day. And the charging is really fast like while eating it reaches 70%. Also I was iphone user for 4 or 5 years so the only thing I changed in this phone is the arabic keyboard bcz is so different than the one I used to. All the other things are great and really happy with it.

DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!!!

I bought this phone from Best Buy in October of '21. •First issue I had two months later is that the cover screen would intermittently go blank with no explanation. Sent it off to Samsung twice! Was sent back as functional with no problems. Even sent it to their authorized repair shop which was two hours. away from where I live with the same answer. •Second issue is the batter charge. The battery drains as quickly as it charges. I have to charge the phone 4-5 times a day. As soon as I disconnect it from the charger the percent starts dropping instantaneously (less than 20 seconds). •Third issue I have is that the wireless charger doesn't work well anymore. I've tried every wireless charger I have (including the Samsung charger I paid $50 for) and it either charges extremely slow or not at all. •The most frustrating and infuriating issue I had was that 2 pixel spots appeared on my screen. I NEVER dropped the phone, not even once! I've always taken great care of my phones. I've never even had a cracked screen. When I sent the phone to Samsung they wanted to charge me almost $400 to repair the screen!! Even after complaining to every high ranking rep I could get in touch with it did absolutely no good. I paid cash for this phone. I also made the mistake of changing cell phone providers 2 months late and now my visual voicemail and wifi calling do not work, so beware if you decide to change providers like I did. The phone basically has all of the same features as the other high end smart phones. The only difference is the folding feature and the cover screen, which attracted me to the phone in the first place. I paid $1,000 for this phone and sincerely regret this purchase. And I hope Samsung sees this review. This phone stinks!!!

Now, because nothing is perfect I do have to list some cons. First and foremost, the camera is lacking in pretty much everything and definitely seemed subpar. Comparing it with an iPhone 12 Pro and a Samsung S21 Ultra camera, I was disappointed about every aspect, thankfully I'm not one to take a lot of pictures so it's not a deal breaker for me. Secondly, the crease created from the folding action of the phone is not ideal, sure you get used to it, but it can still be annoying when your scrolling through your phone. Lastly, the battery. If you are someone who does not like plugging in their phone until your going to bed, this phone isn't going to make it. Thankfully, it is offset by its fast charging capabilities (I fully charge this phone in one hour) but it's still annoying to make sure I have a charger around in case I need it.

I am VERY pleased with this phone. The quality of the photos and the design work well for me. I had a flip phone years ago and regretted it when they went out of fashion. It's nice to have a quality phone with the flip style. I've had almost 2 years and have had no issues. I have not had to change battery and the features are top notch.

The Z Flip 3 is a great phone. It's very easy to ise. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because the screen protector develops a crease iver time and it lifts up in tje fold, trapping debris behind it.

Major Glitch Wile Attempting a File Transfer

Okay, I've only had this phone for one day. So, I really can't give an in-depth review. I really just wanted to share an experience I had with the Samsung Galaxy Z while attempting to do a file transfer from my old phone. Upon attempting to do the transfer, the Samsung's screen went blank. The power button did nothing to bring it out of this state. Folding the phone showed that the date/time on the outside of the phone was also blank. It was as if the phone had died.
This really had me concerned. However, I was hoping it may be normal while the transfer was taking place. After about five minutes, I came to the conclusion that this wasn't right. So, I tried calling the Samsung from my land line. The call went through. I could hear the Samsung ringing, but it didn't come out of its blank screen mode. At least the phone hadn't died!
So, I did an internet search to see if anyone else experienced this issue, and if there was a solution. Turns out, this is not uncommon in a Samsung. The solution was to press the power and volume buttons simultaneously for about 15-20 seconds until the screen comes back on. I did this, and after about 15 seconds the screen lit up. I then saw a bunch of text and numbers.
In general, the text will ask if you want to install a new operating system, or keep the operating system that came with the phone. I just wanted the phone to go back to its original, usable state. So of course I elected to keep the original OS. The text informed me that I needed to press the volume down button to keep the original OS. So, I pressed the volume down button and the phone's home page came up. Just as it was before the crash. All was now well with the phone.
Needless to say, I will not be attempting to do the file transfer again.
The phone itself is very nice. I really like the option to fold the phone. It will defiantly help protect the screen from scratches. The folded phone is also much easier to carry in your pocket. The screen is also very sharp and clear. I really hope the phone has no more issues, as I really like it and would like to keep it for a long while.
I gave the phone three stars because of the crash. That should never have happened on a $1,000 phone on its first day of use. But I'm optimistic that there will be no more issues (fingers crossed).

Loving This Phone!

Just using it for one day, but I love the portability and the fact you can prop it up. I had my eye on the Flip 5G, but decided not to upgrade then and I’m glad I waited. So far I like everything about this phone. It gets about the same battery life as my Galaxy Note 10 Plus, which is all day for me. I’ve been using it extensively today. Do I wish the battery life was a little better, sure, but I’m not really sacrificing anything and getting a lot in return.
This phone is lighter and fits great in a purse pocket. I needed to find a special large pocket to hold my brick phone. It is fast and efficient. I’m so much happier with this phone from day 1.
The speakers sound and call quality are great and, gotta say, I loved closing the phone to end calls and also that the large screen is not exposed to damage from whatever it contacts in your pocket or purse. The window in the front is very useful and a decent size.
If you’re looking for a foldable phone, this would be a great purchase.

Great Phone, Not Great Battery Life

As far as a smartphone goes, it does everything you need it to do. In my 5 months of having it, I've never had it lag or slow down. The display is plenty bright and smooth. Cameras are good but not great. Pictures and image software look good, but videos are a bit lacking. The look of the phone is very pretty, but the glass gets fingerprints on it very easily.
My main problem is the battery life: it only lasts around 10-12 hours with frequent use. It's not terrible, but it requires that you charge it more often.
For the folding aspect, it's very gimmicky but extremely fun. I haven't had any problems with the hinge or screen after 5 months of everyday use. The cover screen is somewhat useful, but it more serves as a way to do quick actions so you don't have to open the phone. The extra step of unfolding the phone to actually use it is annoying sometimes, but overall it's just fun to open it then close it when you're done.

Cool phone. I love how compact it can get when closed. You can barely see the crease in the middle where it folds from the front view; hasn't been an issue for me.

As of today, I have really enjoyed this phone. It works very well and runs smoothly. The folding crease of the screen is noticeable at first, but after a few days I got used to it. Also, although the Flip has a shorter battery life, I have yet to fall under 30% after a day's use. Oh, and the front screen when the phone is closed... very amazing! It includes a lot of features such as setting a background picture, quickly reviewing messages, emails, etc. and using other widgets such as a music player (in my case, Spotify), and Samsung Health. The camera is great, but not excellent. Perhaps if a newer model of the Flip came out then Samsung could incorporate a bigger camera sensor. The only con I have about this phone is that sometimes (although not frequently) the temperature of the upper back of the phone does heat up a bit. It usually occurs when I am using an app that does require a considerable amount of processing speed and graphics. Hopefully in the future Samsung can make improvement in that area. But, regardless of that, it's an amazing phone that I really enjoy using now and in the future.

Great phone. Was very fast and snappy, cameras were good. Only cons of this phone in my opinion was the battery which did not last long at all during a normal amount of usage, and the lack of samsung dex, which I don't know why was snubbed considering this is a flagship model phone.

Nice phone Samsung case sucks get case that’s one piece and not two. The first time you fold it does put a crease but it’s not that visible when you turn it on.
The draw a pattern password doesn’t allow for in between the dots making me have to reset the phone after setting it up. Other than that so far so good

my wife loves this phone. she used to be an apple user and i have turned her to the dark side and she refuses to go back to apple. haha jk, she really loves this phone though. the screen did happen to hers but it was an easy fix. just as easy as fixing and iphone broken screen hehe. and facetiming and watching is super easy cause it holds itself up and the phone cases are pretty cool too.
