I was not interested in a Samsung Flip because I already had the Samsung Fold. This phone was discounted and I had a Best Buy store credit. I decided to try it out and I am happy I did. The only con is that it doesn't have DeX like the Fold has. DeX is important to me while traveling. This doesn't take away from the phone in anyway. DeX is a feature I enjoy on the fold. I will give the Flip 5 an 8/10. The 2 point drop comes from the front display. It is limited unless you download Good Lock to tweak the front display. To a novice user this can be overwhelming. I like the ability to customize my devices. Unfortunately this is not the case with most user. Most users like simple and ready to use our the box. On the next gen Samsung should take Motorola Razr+ approach with the front display. I have this device on a Prepaid plan and the speeds are amazing. Most of the time I am getting better speeds than my post-paid plan that has the Fold. If you are looking for a simple device that you can throw in a purse or bag on the go. This is the one. I have no issues with it's performance. The build quality is excellent also. Try it and see for yourself.

I wish they thought symmetry like they did with all the other zflips outer display. Because it looks hideous. There is away around where you can crop and black out bottom portion of that inexcusable slip at the bottom of the display. Other than that its a solid device. I have both the razr plus and zflip 5 . Both are rock solid. But if you like symmetry and dont like awkward shapes go for the razr.

Im hard on phones, usually crack the lense firstvor second day, so i like the fact when closed the lense is safe. I paired this phone with the canon 1500 mobile picture printer, absolutely the best pics ive ever9 seen!

It's really decent phone and fun to use. If you do not care about being able to flex and brag your BEAST smartphone, I really do recommend Flip 5.

I cant describe how much i don't like this phone. And i really wanted to like it. It is glitchy, does crease, has to be restarted often, has terrible battery life, and doesnt even use the whole screen to play video. Do not buy. I had it for six weeks and am promptly switching to another phone.

This applies to all current Z Flip devices from 5-7 really. For those that want a relatively simple Samsung experience with a competent processor and impressive screen with a compact form, this is a great choice. The rear cameras are not high end but are definitely good enough if not needing to zoom in, The battery life is very solid with proper use/maintenance. The outside screen is useful for menial tasks and is durable. The feeling when opening and closing it is quite a satisfying experience. The only real glaring issue this line of models have is how fragile their inner screen is. While their refresh rate and the picture quality is very good and is a very smooth experience to use even over the seam, the slightest mishap will permanently damage them. Their hinge is very vulnerable when folded so without protection it's when, not if. Even with a hinge protecting case though, the slightest bit of physical damage whether it's a focused impact or a drop or even closing it wrong will render it unusable, usually in the form of an all black inner screen or touch completely cutting out for good. The screen repairs are as, if not more, expensive as a refurbished equivalent device, so if you aren't one to baby the device, I'd look more towards an A or S series Samsung.

This is excellent product .. Camera quality is top notch.. The clamshell-style foldable design which is easy to hold .. I can check notification or use apps without unfolding the phone that’s unique .. this phone doesn’t need stand can take photos while keeping it half fold .. !!

While i had the flip 3 for a good while, the flip 5 is a great phone for easy accessibility. I traded in my flip 3 for the newest flip 5. the larger cover screen is best used when you dont need to open your phone for quick actions, like change your music, viewing/replying messages, and using the stop watch.

I love my flip 5. Its truly refreshing to have something different. So many customization options to make it truly unique. Being a guy I love the smaller form factor to carry comfortably in pocket. Software offers so many cool things. Limiting battery charge to 85% is a great feature. I use esim with Tmobile and traditional sim card with spectrum mobile. So functional for work and personal use. Samsung has knocked this one out of the park imo. Excellent screen, flagship processor, great 5g modem, acceptable battery life. Overall a great experience. Coming from a different ecosystem I find this device truly refreshing and functional. Tired of same old same old generic me too products. Customization options on lock and home screens are my favorite features. Open and close to answer and hang up is cool. Try it and I sincerely think you'll like it.

Great being able to be some basic stuff on the front screen while closed. Great as a gps/DJ or whatever you might need on road trips since the inside screen is decent size and the split screen works well. The middle crease might bug some people, but I didn't even notice it unless I was showing others pictures. Main downside for me is the camera, I've taken better pictures on my phone from 2013 (not a joke). If you don't care about the camera this might be a great phone if you like the form factor.

This phone is dynamite! I love all the features, and especially love the upgrades from the last version. Do be careful of the hinge and of dropping it. That is about the only thing you can do to damage it.

Traded in a G20+5G for this as I was tired of breaking otterbox holsters. Love that it fits in my pocket and that I don't always have to open the phone to read/reply to text messages (even using a 3rd party program). So far, no downsides that I've encountered. While you can see the fold when you look at it from the side, while using it you don't notice it and that was my biggest concern.

Brought on nov 2023 and only just recently started to get the phone seam from flipping

As a Samsung Flip user since the Flip 3, i have been upgrading each time to get the newest features. I enjoy the front screen on the Flip 5 because it allows me to do more and not have to open my phone as much as I did the Flip 3 and Flip 4.

Great phone. Everything came in as expected. The phone is running great. Nothing is bad about it. The camera features are amazing. It is sleek and small. Fits anywhere. It has a lot of features.

Best phone ever. Small and easy to carry. But, when you unfold it, its everything you need.

I am a first time Android User I have always had an iPhone I cannot express how much I love this phone although it is a little difficult with some things being used to the iPhone this phone is definitely worth the switch and yes my iTunes library followed me

Turns heads when I show it off. Easy set up, love the nostalgia and also that clam shell feel it's amazing. Also, love the clamp sound when closing it and when you hang up on someone #throwback

This phone is the most powerful clamshell foldable on the market (August 2023) and offers superb long-term software support. It also has a finally usable battery life and a versatile cover display.
