2 issues but otherwise, great phone!

I've had the Z fold 3 since 2021 release date and it is still going strong. I use this phone pretty aggressivly, includding closing the phone semi hard on a day to day basis and i have not run into any issues. The 2 things that i say are the downfall of this phone are the cameras and the battery.

I can’t wait to get into this phone I played around with it a little bit in the store man the fact that I got like a desktop and a phone all in one history is going to make business easier and I imagine it’s gonna make pleasure that much pleasurable also I’ve been with iPhone for quite some time I’m interested to see if things are easier or harder when I switched from android to iPhone salesman at the store assured me that all of my saved videos and all of my pictures and all 30,000 I believe it was or plus songs that I had would transfer to the Apple iPhone it never did it would be interesting to find out if somehow I can get all of that back but now what I’ve decided for for the future is why I just go with one company in one type of plan there’s one thing in this world I have realized competition breeds excellence so why don’t you do business on both I got a feeling that if Samsung messes up iPhone I’ll be there to tell me and if iPhone messes up I’m sure Samsung will tell me also double up that’s what 2022 is all about for me double up on the workload double up on the play double up on the safety keeps a grizzly bear happy every day

Samsung no doubt makes good hardware, not really great. I owned almost all types of appliances and devices Samsung ever makes. The longevity of the appliances are not there. From TV, to vacuums, to SmartThings - there is always something left to be desired. I have the Galaxy Z Fold2, upgraded to Galaxy Z Fold3 as soon as it came out. I was hoping Samsung would improved it. It’s a $2,000 phone. I expected a lot like it would be like as good as an iPhone at least in terms of reliability. The NFC chip is miserably a failure. This is the best Samsung can do. I hold a line at checkout because it work. It happens pretty frequently. I go shopping with just my phone at hand. I ditched my iPhone 12 Pro for the Galaxy Z Fold and learned a very bitter lesson. The NFC chip is not any better in the Z Fold3. Fingerprint sensor-wise, there is a marginal improvement in Z Fold3 over Fold2. The facial recognition failed miserably in the Z Fold3 like in Fold2. Software-wise, it’s unfortunate that it runs Android. Let’s face it, Android is still behind iOS, but greatly improved from the last time I ever tried using an Android phone in 2011. All in all, the Samsung married to Android software and whatever software is running in Z Fold3 is not a match made in heaven. I can feel the hiccups of the hardware and software combination. I would say Galaxy Fold3 is not for me. It’s not for serious personal computing needs. It’s relegated as a remote control for my home. It does not even do that job well. I would have imagined this phone running Android software will work flawlessly with other Android ecosystem devices, it has so much trouble casting to Chromecast, while my iOS devices worked instantly and flawlessly. So I have a $2,000 phone sitting in my drawer, used at least as a camera and as a calculator. I would be extremely and unconsolably disappointed it can’t work great as a calculator (non-scientific functions) and as a camera. It wouldn’t be fair not say something good. The camera in a Samsung device is always something to consider. This is not something important to me. The only thing that is a strong point to me with this Samsung device is the large screen real estate. With the pen, it will make the screen even more usable. I could potentially do more with this device. Unfortunately, the hardware and the software are not optimized and don’t work very well together. I can’t use this phone at all. There is not even visual voicemail in this device. I tried making it work on AT&T and on Verizon. No luck. I subscribed to visual voicemail service, paid $180 a year for the service, still did not work flawlessly. Samsung won’t take the device back after 10 days. I was away when it was delivered. It won’t allow me to change delivery address at purchase. It has to be my card’s address. I think this is a lesson for me: no more Samsung products for me. I actually have better luck with LG. When I refreshed my home, I replaced all TVs and small appliances with LG.

    Besides the beautiful internal display...

The internal screen is great.. refresh rate, color and such are great. Battery life isn't horrible and even if you use it alot the fast charging is awesome. However where this phone falls in a few spots... On the front screen Samsung installed a screen protector on the front screen, it wouldn't be so bad, however you can feel the edge of it and around the camera hole... seems like a cheep afterthought and annoys me every time my finger goes over it. The biggest and move disappointing item is the camera.. its great if your taking pictures of object/people that don't move. Colors look very accurate, but if your trying to take pictures of kids/pets that move, well.. I hope you life blurry photos.. at the end of the day I returned the phone because getting high quality photo of my kids was more important. Maybe the Fold 4 will have a better camera, if so I will likely try it again.

I purchased the phone due to the folding capability. Everything worked fine but what i was not impressed with was thr camera's on the device. I expected better cameras for the amount of the price tag.
