This being the second generation fitness tracker that Samsung has produced, you can tell with every detail that Samsung took its time and looked at everything that worked and didn't work with the original Gear Fit. Much like what Samsung did with the Gear Watch 2, the GF2 is lighter, easier to read and overall more functional than its predecessor. If you are looking for a fitness tracker, you owe it to yourself to give this one a serious look. Highly recommend.

Got this one as a freebie with my Note 7. Never really had any expectations but it does it job to the dot. Its more like a fitness tracker with ability to show notifications. I do miss the microphone but it has some automatic templates that you can use to reply for texts and stuff. The menus are bit complicated but once you get a hang of it its really a nice experience. The best part you can even pair it with non galaxy androids and still get the same experience. Turnoff the always on display and this little guy can run give you 3 days of normal usage with one charge...!!!!

Seems to be a good tracking device. I hane not noticed any big issues with the heart rate monitor being wildly off as the reviews have complained about. The step tracking seems pretty accurate. The stairs counter is ridiculously innacurate. I walk up 10-12 flights of stairs a day and have been getting credited with 55-60 for the last two weeks. I don't know what happened, the first two weeks I owned it were perfectly accurate. The battery life is ok. I can get 2 days out of it but usually just toss it in the charger at night. Overall a very solid mostly accurate device.

I have owned a gear fit since the original. Still love them. Although I have had the band break and contacts for charging corrode... Still love it !

I am not a huge sports watch type of guy. I received the watch with the Note 7 promo. I have read reviews on the watch clasp opening too easy and falling off. My watch clasp only opened once in a month. I don't use this watches full potential. For me it is good to control the music on your phone at the gym and your daily steps. You can download music to your watch and leave your phone at home and connect blue tooth headphones to your watch. I would recommend it for basic users, but more advanced users would need to research all watches to find what works best.

Having the GPS is great...the steps and miles are much more accurate. It is also nice to have a built-in music player and the ability to load songs onto the tracker. I use the music player with a Bluetooth headset during runs and don't have to bring my phone anymore...the running tracker works great too. My only complaints (and why I did not give it five stars) are about the calories and floors. I don't really use those that much, but they are not very accurate.

Love this watch! It's got its ups and downs but overall, I'm quite happy and can't beat it for the price. Pros: * Lightweight. I like how it is not bulky and the soft strap doesn't rub against my skin or feels harsh after a run or sweating from a workout. * The step counter is pretty accurate as well as the stairs climbed. * I can't say much about my heart rate but I believe it to be pretty accurate as well at least when I am at rest and not after a run. * I love how simple it is to start a basic walk or run and how well it tracks my distance and location. * The battery life is pretty good on it. I can last about 2 to 3 days without having to charge it back up. That is with full vibration on with reminders, and gps/walking tracking on when I go for walks or runs. * The power saving mode is a life saver. Very slick interface with everything I need to keep me going until I can recharge it. * I also love how it buzzes at me when I am sitting at my desk for too long. It definitely has made me more aware of my daily activities and improved my day to day fitness life. * As for the smart watch capabilities, it does a good job of giving me date reminders by syncing with my calendar and sending me my phone notifications. It is cool to be able to change the watch faces although I can't see myself paying for anything fancy, I just want the date and time, steps, hr, and calories burned. * I haven't downloaded any music on the device but I probably will not use this function since I prefer to stream my music during a run or walk anyways. Nice to have feature, but not used. Cons: * The accuracy of the sleep monitoring is lacking. Sometimes it asks me how well I've slept in the middle of the day! * There is no automatic sleep function so you have to manually tell your watch to go on do not disturb at night otherwise you will turn it on every time you flip over in bed. (happens more often than you might expect) * Some versions of Android phones are not compatible with it despite what the website says. I have a J7 and it didn't work so I had to switch over to a different phone in order to get the full smart watch functionality. Buyers beware. Recommendation: I will definitely recommend this to people who want a simple to use watch that provides visibility into your day to day activities and constant reminders to get up and move. It does a good job of tracking your steps, distance, calories burned, and heart rate monitoring.

The gear fit2 isn't a bad product. Like all Samsung products there's good and bad features. The fit2 is thin and sleek. It's cool looking and like other gear watches has many faces to choose from. It has most fit info - as expected. I've heard that later this year it will sync with Fitbit too. The problem I have is most of the apps I have for my old gear watch won't work or aren't available for this version. That's not great for me since I have a few apps that I use everyday. All in all, the fit2 is a nice product especially if it's your first smart watch.

This is one of the easiest and most efficient fitness tracking apps Samsung has on the market. I highly recommend it for any Samsung Android OS user. You will not be disappointed, especially with the functionality and price when compared to Apple devices.

Tracks everything fitness related very well. The notifications from my phone is a nice feature too. This is not a smart watch though. If you buy it expecting a fitness tracker, its great! But if you expect a full on smart watch, look into the gear s series

I purchased this item shortly after release in the US. I was excited to see what improvements Samsung has made from the previous iteration. I was pleasantly surprised to see the aesthetics of the device slimmed down to something that looks more natural on the wrist. The battery life is great, screen is very vivid and sharp and very viewable even in the brightest of daylight. My only qualm is the quality of the strap and clasp, as I found it constantly coming undone. If you can somehow see how past that, then you will not be disappointed investing in this fitness watch.

I have been using the Gear Fit 2 since the day it came out. Overall I have been happy with it but there are a few things I liked better on my Garmin Vivofit HR . The app on the Garmin is better, the battery life is much better. I'm recharging the Samsung almost daily, I would get about a day and half out of the battery. It's nice there are different watch faces, the Bluetooth sync has been great unlike my Garmin where it would lose sync from time to time. If you're looking for a slick device with the ability to change its look the Gear Fit 2 is the way to go.
