The features on this watch are excellent. It does far more than I expected. I'm not impressed with the band as it easily comes undone when picking up and setting down my two year old. It also does not count my steps on the stroller, whereas my Fitbit did. This defeats the purpose of having a jogging stroller and a fitness watch. The screen and the layout of the options are excellent.

I've had my Gearfit2 for a couple months now and love it! All the benefits of a health tracker plus more. The sleep tracking is very accurate and awesome to look at. Samsung health gives you updates and little boosts throughout the day which is helpful. I haven't even used all the features like putting my own picture on the screen but everything so far is great I never take it off! I can see my calls and texts and respond accordingly, I can pick a home screen that fits my mood or needs at the time and I can track all the important things for my health. Love. It.

The good: - Very comfortable to wear. You don't feel it on the hand. - Very nice design. - Very good heart monitor. Just make sure to wear it snug to the wrist when going for a run or walk to get good reading. - Very good sleep tracker. - Battery is good enough. Takes about 25-30% with medium use a day. I just charge it every day when taking a bath, I don't try to run it down. Takes about 1 minute per 1% to charge, so it's back to full after about 30 min charge. Change to 'not disturb' mode at night to save on battery. - Notifications work well, you can even see pics people are sending you, on the watch. - GPS is good and I like the option to run my music from the watch. The bad: - I use the default watch face, I wish it included a date too. - For stairs and steps, not always accurate. You can gain steps by washing dishes. SW should be smarter than that since it does have GPS. - Initially there was a problem that after a week the watch face would freeze, but that was fixed in latest firmware release. I don't see this problem anymore, however, if the watch is on 24/7 (like I have it), sometimes after few weeks, I experience some freeze/sluggish reaction to swipes and presses and need to re-start the watch. All in all, I like the watch and it gives me what I wanted it (heart rate, sleep track and notifications) for a very reasonable price.

Purchased this tracker due to the slim profile. It's packed with the most features, including GPS, HR, and the touchscreen colored screen. Yes the battery life is a little shorter than most ( I'm getting 3 1/2 days with notifications), but pound for pound, this thing is a monster. The strap is bad but I ordered replacements on line in 5 colors for $7.50 total. Gotta love the Chinese. Sorry. Don't purchase something for the battery life, as this charges fully in 2 hours. You can even add multiple screens for free. Can't beat this one. Sorry Fitbit and Garmin.

Good working watch with function to track steps, exercise, sleep, water and get notifications like text and email. No voice commands and only preset replies to texts. The clasp on the watch seems pretty secure. It has come off a few times, but it has a secondary latch to keep it from falling off. It charges fairly quickly and lasts a few days without being charged.

I was thinking about getting the latest model but decided I wasn't willing to make a $100 jump for the benefit of waterproofing. So I went with the last years model and I'm glad I did. Good 2 day battery life, I can accept/reject calls from my wrist. One of these days I'll get some bluetooth headphones and really make it worth while. I can wear it while I hoop and I can't feel it. It's solid all the way around. If it could make mobile payments I'd give it 5 stars, but as it is. . .great option for everyone

My wife and I originally bought Garmin devices and when hers stopped working within a week (apparently wasn't as waterproof as it was supposed to be) we returned both and bought fit2s. The screen is VERY crisp. I wasn't able to read most of the other device's faces without my glasses but I can read most of the gear without them. I also like the fact that you can download additional watch faces. It syncs very well with the Samsung S4s that we have. The instructions are a bit lacking but after a bit of Googling, we figured most things out. On the downside, the band is HORRIBLE. I constantly catch it on things and unhook it. My wife has lost hers twice and I've lost mine once because the band came unhooked and we didn't notice. I ordered a different band that will be delivered next week. If you do buy this, be prepared to spend either another $10 or so for band with a real buckle or $149 for a new Fit2 when you lose it.

This product has allowed me to look and change many areas of my life. I like to keep up with my heart rate, which it does great. I have poor sleep and this allows me to look at my sleep patterns to make my sleep better. I need to be more active and with this, i am able to keep up with my steps Overall I am very glad I bought the item.

I received this as a GWP for the late Note 7. I never thought I'd become a watch person again, but I love this thing. It's helped me become a little bit more active and I challenge myself to walk more during my commutes and at work. It has a lot of stuff I don't use, but the basics like steps and HR and notifications meet my needs.

I have worn this watch/fitness tracker every day since I received it. Pros: -The step counter seems fairly accurate. -The workout function is good for timing/gathering data on workouts. -The sleep tracking is an interesting feature (SHealth app on phone is needed to get full breakdown). -Heart rate data is collected regularly. Cons: -A current Samsung phone is needed to experience the full benefits of the device. -Steps aren't registered if the arm wearing it is kept stationary (e.g. pushing a cart in the store). -After working perfectly for the first month, the sleep tracking has started being finicky on mine; it now doesn't start registering for 1-2 hours after I fall asleep. Overall, I would recommend it. The Gear FIt2 is a great device whether you're using it strictly for fitness purposes, or if you simply want to be want to be more aware of your lifestyle habits.

I really like my new fit gear 2 watch made by Samsung. It has all the features that I was looking for and was less than $200. It does steps, heart rate, sleep tracking, gps, etc. and I can use it as a regular watch also. It has interchangeable watch faces and can do timer, stop watch, and alarm. Overall it is a great buy.

No ready for prime time in my opinion

I really wanted to love this smartwatch. It can be customized just enough to make me happy, has gps and heart rate (though the HR is a little iffy), and of course, it can track activity and sleep. The sleep function seems to have a decent algorhythm too. But, sadly, this is a smartwatch that has little to no function for me. First, at least as of 10-9-2016, it doesn't sync with any of my ecosystems, like mapmyfitness, myfitnesspal, or polar flow, or even withings to report steps. It seems it is designed only for use on a Samsung phone. I don't want to manage everything that I manage as far as fitness on my phone. Major showstopper. Secondly, and possibly more important is that it has caused a fairly nasty rash. I don't wash my hands and leave water beneath the watch, and I don't do anything else that I can link to this happening. I've had to stop wearing it.

I've had my gear fit 2 for about 2 months and I've enjoyed almost everything about it. This is my 2nd fitness tracker (my first was a Garmin Vivosmart that had to be replaced twice). All the features it has (including smart notifications and GPS) are impressive for the cost of it compared to others with comparable features. I do with the GF2 was waterproof like the Garmin was, but this wasn't a deal breaker for me. Another slight annoyance is that it seems the GF2 loses bluetooth connectivity somewhat easily. I will have my phone in my pocket, yet it loses connection sometimes. Doesn't make any sense, when other times it has a solid connection. The band fits comfortably and the device looks great. As for battery life, I can get 2-3 days on a charge, which isn't bad, but isn't great. Other than these minor things, I'm happy with my purchase!

Pros: definitely the screen, it's fantastic. Relatively stylish with the skinny screen. Nice screen layout and sports features Cons: battery life, minimal features that other Samsung watches have, but that is because it's a sports-centered watch, not an overall smartwatch.

I loved my gearfit2!! A brilliant piping of typical smartwatch functions and "fitbit" usefulness. The device synced with my phone (S7 edge) easily and always did an above average job tracking my activity. The device itself was also fairly durable, taking knocks, bumps, and scrapes like a champ and often coming out with little to no cosmetic damage My biggest problems were the battery life (3 days at best when limiting certain functions) and it's lack of being fully waterproof. My preferred sport is swimming and having forgotten I was wearing the gearfit2 only once for a 45 minutes pool swim, the device became water damaged and died. If you are considering using this constantly in a submerged state, DON'T. It can take errant splashes, and even brief submerging just fine, but any extended time underwater threatens the operation of the watch. All in all a great product, Samsung just needs to make it fully waterproof!!

Huge led touch display (for an athletic band), 4GB internal memory, heartrate reader (with auto, every 10 min) with manual option to see rhythm line, sleep recording, it syncs in about 1 second compared to the ~10 seconds to the fitbit charge hr, band is extremely durable and soft and doesn't stretch like the fitbit charge hr, can control music from the band and even broadcast to an audio device FROM the band via the 4GB of storage (must be sent from the app to the band - no USB), charger is magnetic and charges to full in about an hour. Requires android (now, at least) and the S health and Samsung gear apps. Supports output to fitbit app and many more 3rs party major apps. This is 3x better than the fitbit charge hr because I've had 3 of them fail on me. (it's more like 100x better, actually).

My GearFit was a gift and I had no expectations on whether I would like it or not. Much to my surprise, I absolutely love it! My emails buzz me on the GearFit, so I get my messages immediately. I can see who is calling me with a flip of my wrist. The tracking is handy and overall it is very easy to use. I think this is one of the better looking smart watches and it has fitness tracking too. Try it, you'll like it!

I've had this for about a month now and the hardware feature set is basically everything you could want. Heart Rate, GPS, OLED, auto sleep tracking, etc, etc. It's low profile (for having a HR monitor) and attractive in a modern sort of way. Battery life is quite solid as well as I can usually expect 2 days of use at medium brightness and frequent use. That said, the Samsung Health app is pretty under-baked and doesn't provide nearly as much data as what you are likely to get with Garmin and (to a lesser degree) Fitbit. Garmin is catering to true fitness enthusiasts and the amount of data that you get from their comparable wearable line definitely outclasses what you get with the Samsung app. Bottom line is that this product was designed more for the fitness tracking masses, which is by no means a bad thing. At this price point, this is probably the best option on the market for the feature set that is included.
