Love how it syncs with the phone and automatically records your sleep. I kept forgetting to turn on/off the sleep mode on my other tracker. I also love how you can go for a walk without your phone and still track it! I do have to charge it a bit more than my previous tracker, but this one does SO much more it's totally worth it :-D Oh, and you can see your phone messages right on it!!!!!

I have been loving the Gear Fit 2 these past few weeks. The gps worked great and documented trails and distances very well while hiking, the heart rate monitor always can get my heart rate, and so far is quite accurate. The previous gear fit i enjoyed but it had a hard time picking up your pulse most of the time. The screen is beautiful and ui is nice and smooth. Definitely recommended

Got this watch to replace my Samsung Gear. Good fitness watch. Does everything i need it to do (tracking steps, heart rate monitor, text message reader) One issue is the lack of control changing songs during my work out. Wish it would allow you to control google music. Overall good watch for the price point. Battery last usually a day and half with heavy use.

Best Fitness tracker I have owned

I have the original Gear fit. I upgraded to the Gear 2 Neo, then I upgraded again to the Gear Fit 2. The Gear 2 Neo would occasionally freeze up and need to be restarted. This new Gear Fit 2 has worked flawlessly. It is also much more comfortable to wear than the Neo. The GPS is an awesome addition. Now I can use this when I go on a bike ride to track my route as well as speed, calories burned and heart rate. You can also use the GPS for activities like walking and running. This tracker gives extremely detailed information on all activities I have used it for. It tracks my sleep automatically without a hitch. It will sync with any Android device running 5.0 or higher. For $179, I can't see why you would buy anything else.

My wife has a Fitbit. She likes it a lot but she is envious when she sees my colorful and bright screen. The features are awesome and the wrist band is very comfortable. Battery life is ok... lasts about a day. I definitely have to charge it daily. Happy with the purchase and it does act as a reminder to increase my activity, etc. The heart rate is helpful also.

Smartwatch for my Dad he's 94

I pre-ordered my Samsung Galaxy Note 7, love it, and had my choice between this watch or additional memory. My dad has a Note 4 so it seemed like the perfect match. I have a Gear S2 Classic watch that he always comments on saying he'd really like one but they are just too expensive, so I asked him and he said yes, he'd use the watch. Now a month later when I asked him if he still liked the watch he said he loves it! It sync's with his phone tracking his steps, he say's he learns something new every day with it. He also enjoys not having to carry his phone around the house with him because his watch vibrates to let him know he has a call or text etc. At first I thought it might be a waste of time but now I'm so glad I got this little gem for him. I would recommend this simple but stylish and very user friendly smart watch to everyone. If you're looking for a first smart watch for your kids and don't want to pay the arms and legs for the big ones, this is the perfect watch. It comes in fun colors and the sizing is broad with a small and a large version. For the price I should have done this a long time ago. Looking into buying one for my Mom, she's 90, so she doesn't have to keep her Note 4 with her everywhere in the house she goes. Bottom line, great product, great price, can't go wrong.

The Fit2 is almost the perfect tracker the only two major complaint is it can't sync to other fitness applications like a fitbit can and battery life. But I do love the built in GPS , onboard storage, and the gorgeous display.

I had a fitbit charge before this and it broke twice in the time I had it and wasn't accurate at all, so I wanted something better. I asked the Samsung guys and they gave me a lot of helpful info about the product. I've had it for a little over a month and I love it. It has a lot of stylish changeable watch faces, really accurate, with a lot of helpful exercise tracking information. the only bad part about it is the battery only lasts about 2 days and there is no screen protector for it yet but it is a great product

Counts steps well. The other features work nice in it to. I like the find my phone part of it. However my battery dies quickly, or won't charge at all if it needs updated. I got to the play store to try and update it but it tells me I don't have an update.

Cool wearable for tracking steps, heart rate, specific exercises and sleep quality. Cool as a watch as well. Battery goes quickly (2-3 days) when not used in power saving mode but last about a week otherwise.

Nice display options. Light. Very accurate. These wristwatch types require toting the appropriate docking apparatuses along to recharge them. Unhandy for high mileage and/or overnight trips/hikes.

I've been wearing this daily for about 9 months now. I usually don't wear watches or bracelets but I don't find this to bother me at all. I wouldn't say the calorie tracker is precise but I will give you a base line. The strap is not as bad a some review state. I have never had the device fall off my wrist, but it will come loose from time to time. Being able to see notifications without pulling out my phone is also an added benefit.

I started with a Fit Bit, then on to the Microsoft Band which worked very well, but this by far has been the best fitness and activity tracker I have used to date. The MS Band had all the functionality I was looking for, but the readout from an angled (landscape) view on my wrist was awkward, the thick rubber material used on the wristband looked bad, and the weak battery all proved to be inferior. The light weight GearFit2 has a display that is easily viewed from more of a portrait angle, and the battery thus far has lasted 2 days before needing to be recharged. Easy magnetic connect charging dock is a plus. Would get 5 stars if the band had a better clasp.

I've spent a lot of time researching fitness trackers and even tried a few out (MS Band 1 & 2, UP3, Vivoactive). I was looking for a fitness tracker with the ability to play music without my phone. Based on the reviews, I wasn't sure how accurate the GF2 would be, however I was pleasantly surprised. It works great! Many people complained about the floor counts, but it has been accurately tracking them. One of the things I've been really pleased with is the ability of the SHealth (now Samsung Health) app to pair with a heart rate strap. I use the Scosche Rhythm+ for more accurate readings when lifting weights. The GF2 heart rate monitor works great for steady state cardio, like running and biking. The sleep tracking works well on the GF2, but if you want to measure REM sleep, the Samsung Health allows you to connect with SleepasDroid. I am completely satisfied with the GF2, but I was blown away by the abilities of the companion app. Got a great deal at Best Buy! I highly recommend this product!

I mostly wanted it for tracking my sleep patterns but all the other features are nice to once you get it set with your phone I am using a galaxy s7 and it pairs perfect but the data on the watch itself doesn't seem very accurate to me... it says I climb over 1000 floors a day and I dont... I don't even use an elevater... the steps and calorie burned numbers seem a lot more accurate since the watch glitches out and wouldn't charge for 2 days. Overall way over priced for such inaccurate glitchy system

Love the Gear Fit 2!!! It is a cross between a FitBit & a Gear 3... Or atleast that is how I see it lol. I wish a charge lasted a little longer. With the Wake-up gesture feature (A feature where the watch screen turns on by turning your wrist toward your face... It's an awesome feature!) and notifications on, it will last around two days. If you put the watch in do no disturb, which turns both Wake-up gesture feature and notifications off (notifications still come to the watch, but it doesn't vibrate to notify you), then it can last almost up to 4 days. The watch does a great job monitoring your heart rate and tracking excercise! You can choose, which apps to have notifications for, which is awesome. You can reply to texts messages with some preset responses, which you can change and edit from your phone. I HIGHLY reccomend this product, especially if you want something that is has more features than a FitBit, but not quite as expensive as a smart watch.
