    Small, comfortable and unique

I love these headphones. I like most women have small ears. The Bose looked like I was trying to contact Mars and the Jaybird Free were still clunky. These fit in my ears amazingly without looking like a wierdo when I'm in public. Many people don't even notice I'm wearing headphones. They have 3 sizes of ear plugs and the ear catching thing to ensure a great fit. They also are touch controlled which is very unique to the market and totally worth it. I don't have any issues changing songs or playlists. The case they come in is super cute and small also. It doesn't take up space in your pocket or purse which is nice. An issue I encountered is the general volume is low. Even at it's highest setting (on the phone and headphones) it's still low. Luckily the sound canceling is really nice so you really can hear the music even when it's low. I guess the issue I've had the most problems with is the Bluetooth connection. When I have my phone in my pocket it sometimes drops the connection from Spotify. I haven't had any issues when I connect it to my Samsung Gear Sport watch though (probably because there's never barriers on my wrist). Overall I love these headphones and would highly recommend them.

The Samsung Gear iconx 2018 version is The Perfect Workout accessory! I love how they fit perfectly in my ear and sound decent. You can put your own music on them or you can use Bluetooth and stream music from your phone. These are basically Samsung's airpods but way better because you can use them on other Android devices. Battery life is great and the new Ambient sound feature makes them even better

    Not What I Hoped

I really wanted to like these earbuds. I really did. I just had too many issues to give them a better rating. I'll start with the obvious fact that although I ordered pink, my shipping paperwork says pink, and it clearly says pink on this review, the earbuds I received were NOT pink... They were black. If I had wanted black, humdrum earbuds, I certainly would never have spent this kind of money on them! Now, to the product... I DID like that each earbud is able to work independently of each other. Volume, answering calls, changing the station, etc can all be done with each earbud, or both. That's good because if you use your Bluetooth device a lot, you can get twice the usage from 1 charge... wear 1 while the other is charging. This set of earbuds pairs with the Samsung Gear app, which can be useful, but it can also be a real pain if you don't care for your phone telling you to workout even if you aren't trying to! There is a built-in equalizer which can be adjusted to your own taste. There's also a "find" feature for those days when you misplace 1 of your earbuds. The battery life seemed better than some units I've tried. The ear gels are incredibly thin and flimsy, not to mention uncomfortable and extremely difficult to put on. The sound quality is very good but still not enough to convince me to use them...

Amazing sound, lightweight and great features

    Posted .

PROS: Build quality feels solid and has a premium look and feel; Lightweight; Low profile and sleek appearance; Comes with multiple sizes for ear wings and plugs for the right fit, which also helps reduce outside noise; Amazing call clarity, after multiple calls I've been told that the mic quality is clear and does not easily pick up ambient noise; Clear mids and highs and has some surprising bass for the size; 4-5 hours of solid bluetooth streaming battery life; Carrying case charges the earbuds and they charge up quickly with the fast charging feature like the Note8; Carrying case is tiny and fits in your pocket; Ambient noise function is useful when you need to hear your surroundings (like at the office); Works with Google and Bixby to listen to commands like pulling up your music with your phone in your pocket; Has an option to help find your missing buds (using the gear app); Auto-detect workout feature (like in the Gear S3, but not as reliable on measurements); and Pairing is effortless but the first update takes a while to load. CONS: Some connectivity issues, you must be within 4-5 feet of your phone or the connection starts to cut out; Issues where one earbud was louder than the other or wouldn't connect at all (this was fixed by placing both into the case to disconnect then taking them out again, this uncommonly happened when I would go from one earbud to two; Ambient sound option only picks up direct in mic noise, so it does not help pick up echoes (which is helpful for clear phone conversations); Ambient sound option is automatically off having one earbud in; No wall adapter in box; Lack of an on/off feature on the earbuds themselves; The case is pretty much required to be on you to store your earbuds and keep them off and prevent them from draining out; and Using the smallest wing tips have issues charging in their case. I normally use these earbuds while at the office, at the airport or while at the gym or running. They have never fallen out or that I felt were loose. Right away I was blown away at the clarity of my music stream and how the seal was able to keep outside noise out. Having about 4 hours of battery life can get pretty rough during a workday when you want more, but the charging case makes up for it. The swipe controls can get a little finicky, but you get used to working them. Overall I have been incredibly happy with these and have recommended them to friends.

    Amazing Wireless Earbuds

    Posted .

Overall, the IconX 2018 are now the perfect wireless earbuds. The 2018 earbuds have improved comfort, sound, battery life, and Bluetooth connection over the 2016 earbuds. I use them daily and they are my primary Bluetooth headphones and headset. IconX 2018 Comfort, 9/10 Sound, 9/10 Connection, 9/10 Battery, 10/10 Size, 10/10 IconX 2016 Comfort, 7/10 Sound, 8/10 Connection, 8/10 Battery, 8/10 Size, 10/10 Over-ear, noise-canceling headphones (for gaming at home or movie on airplane) Comfort, 10/10 Sound, 10/10 Connection, 3/10 wired Battery, 10/10 (1x AAA every month or 2) Size, 2/10 After using the Samsung Gear IconX 2018 for a month, I am happy to say these are overall near-perfect wireless earbuds. The fit is even more comfortable than the IconX 2016, so I can wear them for hours (yardwork, biking, etc.) with no problem. They have never fallen out even while running. It was easy to the find the right fit from the 3 included 3 wingtips. The sound is great too. Better than the IconX 2016, but not my over-the-ear, noise-canceling headphones. The earbuds are improved for fit, making a great seal to keep in the bass and keep out most noise. The Bluetooth connection is solid overall but did skip once or twice if my phone was buried in my bag. Loading MP3 music from my PC or phone was easy, just go through the Samsung gear app. The swip motions (skip, pause, volume up/down) are still sensitive and responsive with better accuracy. I love having wireless music without my phone while at the gym or on the go! Stay in the zone without dealing with wired earbuds or a phone! The included case keeps them together while charging them. The IconX 2018 has better charging management than the 2016. Occasionally the IconX 2016 would flash a red error while charging (so you had to open & close the case and unplug & plug in the USB cable to reset). The IconX 2018 has not had any problems charging the earbuds or the case. Samsung also moved the ear sensor from the bottom of the 2016 to the inside of the 2018. It is smaller and better able to sense that is in the ear. Occasionally, the sensor on the 2016 earbuds would point slightly out of the ear (only for people with small ears) and think it was taken out and shut down. I got my pair at a discount through a promotion, but this review is my own honest opinion.

Untethered brilliance with a slight learning curve

    Posted .

Samsung's latest addition to the exploding wireless earbud market is an excellent extension of your phone as well as a stand-alone entertainment system. However, there may be a slight learning curve for some users. To start with what makes the IconX great is the sound. Whether you are streaming music or accessing a playlist from the 4GB Storage capacity, the sound quality is very good. When you place them in your ear, you need to do a slight twist, so they firmly sit in your ear, but at that point, there is no concern of them falling out during a workout. With this fit, there are some noise canceling affects that are nice. Samsung also offers an Ambient Sound feature (from the app) that allows you to hear outside conversations so that you do not need to constantly remove the earbuds during use. Another aspect I appreciate about these earbuds is that you don’t have tiny dongles hanging out of your ears which I find to look ridiculous. Next, I love the fact that Samsung included the 4GB storage capabilities (approx. 1000 MP3s), which allows you to detach from your phone when working out or using the earbuds. This also helps extend the battery life a bit. A nice bonus with the IconX charging case is that it will provide your earbuds 1-2 full charges when it is not plugged in, which is an excellent backup feature when you are on the go. The only thing that I would say took a little getting used to is the touchpad controls. Occasionally as I am trying to play/pause music (one tap) or forward to the next song (two taps), I inadvertently start a workout (tap and hold). I have registered a few 0km workouts. However, the workout features are great, and I find to be very accurate. The assisted coaching capabilities can help push you a little further. I tested out the call features with my wife, and she indicated that my voice was very clear and equal if not better than when using the phone as I tend to move the device a lot when speaking. All-in-all, I love these earbuds for working out, doing work around the house, and listening to while I am at work. They have made music even more accessible and are certainly a leader in the wireless earbud market.

Tried the follow list (see below) in the span of 2 weeks and they all failed me except the new Samsung. My goal was to have a in-ear headphone that sounds great, easy to charge, long battery life, compact, and most importantly stay in my ear comfortably while I shoot around on the basketball court or exercise. If your requirements are similar to mine, then save yourself the time. Below is the list of items that I tried and why they failed. I rarely write a review but I hope my experience can save you time in getting the right one for you. Bought a second pair in black for my son. Take care. Bose SoundSport Free wireless headphones - $249; (Failed in fit since it was not a true in-ear system. Feels like it was ready to fall out. Also, it's too big and sticking out of my ear like I have a giant earing when you see yourself in the mirror. Sony - WF 1000X True Wireless In-Ear Noise Canceling Headphones - $199; (Failed - Poor noise cancelling and not loud enough. Fit was good for in-ear. Jabra - Elite Sport True Wireless Earbud - $299 (Failed - Did not fit well in-ear and not loud enough) JAM - Ultra True Wireless In-Ear Headphones - $99 (Failed - did not fit well and poor sound quality) Rowkin - Bit Stereo Bluetooth Headset - $99 (Failed - Worst of them all in sound quality and did not fit well) Jaybird - X3 Sport Wireless In-Ear Headphones - $99 (Failed - awful in sound and charging was clamp versus plug in like most made for a horrible user experience. Second worst.

    Exactly what I wanted!

I needed true wireless headphones for the gym. Nothing is more frustrating than getting into a good workout only to snag the cord on your ear buds and yank them out. Ouch. The sound quality is awesome (except when the batter starts to get low and they crackle a bit). The volume can actually get quite loud as well! I use these while running, on the elliptical, lifting weights, doing plyometrics- all while sweating like crazy! These headphones stayed perfect in place for me. The touch controls were also surprisingly easy for me to pick up on. The ambient sound mode is an awesome feature! It also has the ability to filter voices specifically, which is helpful so that you aren't removing them to hear someone speaking to you, just turn the music volume down a little (ambient noise volume is controlled separately through the app). The battery life is great too! I haven't measured it precisely, but I've used them at the gym all week, and I go for a minimum of 2 hours every day, just replacing them into the charging case when I'm done (after cleaning them a bit) and I am able to use them day after day! Occasionally I will plug the case in to charge for a little while before/ after a workout real quick just for that extra sense of security (nobody wants to lose music during a good sweat sesh AmIRight?). Another thing I didn't see advertised or reviewed with these before I purchased is the ability to take calls with the headphones in. You can use the touch controls to answer and end calls, the other person had no trouble hearing me (and not the background noise of the gym might I add). I also didn't feel the need to shout to be heard, and the voice quality was top notch! Awesome for the days after you do arms/ chest/ back when you're sore and don't want to hold your phone up to your ear during a call! The only issue I have is that even using the smallest of attachments, they are still pretty big for my ears, though I do have veryy small ears. Getting them in took some time to figure out (just pinch the top of your ear when placing them and pull up while pushing the bud in), but once I got that down, they go right in first try and don't move at all. The manual was a little confusing so let me tell you- these are meant to sit IN your ear, with the top attachment resting INSIDE of the little fold of your ear. That's how they keep in place so well. They do leave a little pain where the top of the ear bud rests if I leave them in for more than a couple hours, but I think that's mostly because my ears are so small. All in all, I am very happy with these, as they are my first wireless headphones they have exceeded my expectations! **I bought the gray (love the color, more gray though and less white like the pictures seem, not a big difference though still very cute). I use them with my Samsung Galaxy S8. Very easy to connect and they auto connect every time you open the case.

Went ahead and splurged on these since they were on sale. Dont go in expecting BOSE level sound. They arent bad by any means. But these are fitness earbuds. So if you're looking for studio quality sound, these wont be for you. Sound quality is pretty good. They're very comfortable, and fit snug in my ears. Connection does seem to get a bit spotty at times especially if I use Samsung pay. Seems to temporarily interrupt the connection/cause some minor static. Touch pad takes some getting use to. I tend to avoid it altogether because it is a bit annoying. Battery life is good but could be better. Especially with regards to the case. Additionally, I do notice that I sometimes have to re-position the ear buds from time to time in the case otherwise they dont sit on the contacts properly and thus dont charge.

    Finally!

Truly wireless earbuds that sound great, with long-lasting batteries are finally here! I've tried four other sets of outdoor-style Bluetooth headphones over the past couple years, including the bone-conducting kind. The connecting wire or band always irritated, flopping about (and pulling the buds out of my ears) or obstructing sunglasses frames and helmets. None of those match these 2nd gen Iconx for comfort, sound clarity and endurance. The batteries last far longer than the first gen version, which I promptly returned. (Make sure you get the Iconx 2018 version). And they don't get overwhelmed by wind noise or ambient sound, since they are the in-ear-canal style. (One of my prior sets were the kind that rest outside the ear canal and were useless in situations with wind or excessive noise, where I typically exercise; I had to crank the volume to an unhealthy level. Same thing goes with the bone conductors.) My gripes are mostly minor: the mics aren't picking up voice commands on my Pixel 2, though they do work on an older Samsung device, leading me to believe it's an Android 8.0 issue that'll get fixed in 8.1 or some future update; the touch controls are finicky but I prefer them to the tiny buttons on my other headsets, which required me to mash the buds into my ears; the ambient noise setting only picks up nearby sound, making it useless for outdoor activities; and after a couple weeks of owning them I had a problem with them failing to recharge. This was, of course, a significant issue, but I let them drain to zero and that did the trick. Hope the problem doesn't recur, but I'm fairly confident in Samsung if it does as their product support offered to exchange them. I haven't taken them up on the offer.

I wanted some good quality wireless buds and thats what I got. I do get a little irritated with making and recieveing calls, I think I just need to get used to how many taps does what. Connection is awesome but I hate that I can't turn them off. If i want to use my phone instead of the buds, sometimes i have a hard time getting the buds to disconnect. which definitely hurts the battery life. I do love that I can store songs on them without having my phone with me. The pros out weigh the cons for sure.

I have had the ear buds for about a month. They make working out and multitasking a breeze since you're wireless. They pair automatically to my S7 edge. The only cons is that my ears are small and the fit is not the most comfortable after wearing for a prolonged time. Secondly, sometimes there's static on the connection that affects my listening experience or the caller's ability to hear you clearly. But after buying several headphones this year.. This is my favorite pair.

I was not sure if I wanted to try these out at first. My concern is that one would fall out or the sounds would be bad. I have been exceptionally impressed and they feel so much better in my ears than any of the others I have used. It takes a little playing with the tips and clips, but you can customize them. The controls take some getting used to as you swipe up and down for volume, but tap for pause and skip. My pervious earbuds were Bluetooth beats, which are nice, but personally I like the sound and feel of these better. I am glad I bought them.

Sound good, feel good for an hour or so no more, battery life good, but hard to use touch sensor controls. It tries to change function when all I'm trying to do is swipe up or down to change volume. Have to stand or sit very still while touching controls. That's my only complaint. BTW, medium for both parts fits well. Do not put large on unless you have big ears! Ap could be easier to use, too. For the price, very good.

They actually sound pretty good, not bad at all. Definitely better than the included earbuds that comes with phones. It blocks out a whole lot of outside noise. One big feature I wish it had when I was researching it was that each can be used independently. One issue I had was the left earbud had VERY low sound compared to the right and I could not seem to figure out why. I sent it back to samsung still awaiting for it to return. I will keep this review updated if I encounter another issue.

I like the close fit of the samsung but the comfort is not as good as the bose wireless I had before. I would still choose the samsung because they are not as bulky as some of the other brands. The sound is really good. I wouldn't say they were great but they are wireless and I realize you have to give up some sound quality when you go wireless. I am very happy with my purchase.

I like the fit, light weight, most of the ear buds are frustrating with the fits. Great design and sound quality. 5-6Hrs+ of charge most of the time, after couple of Hrs use. Connects seamlessly with Apple or Samsung. I have no complaints after 2 Years. Note the charger is is not magnetic, like most products, I expect Samsung to update magnetic for the next upgrade. Apple sounds great, however I don't like their design, This fits great, unless you notice, you don't know some one wearing it.

I was tired of searching for the perfect headphones. Tired of the over the neck ones that get in the way and one ear magically stops working. So I did some research and since I'm such a Samsung loyalist I decided to give these a try after reading countless reviews. These are great. They fit great in your ear, they hold tight in your ear during activities. The sound quality is good. The battery life is great. You can also use only one at a time if you so choose. Great product. Glad I decided on these. I'm not payed by Best Buy, nor Samsung. I'm just someone who is honest and someone who will spread the word on something great.
