Hesitant if you have an iphone

Ive had yhese for a little over a year. I upgraded to the iPhone X and begin to have problem. The volume would stop working. Samsung also does not have an app for ios so there is no way to troubleshoot it. Great sound but not worth the hassle

    Great wireless headphones

These are a great wireless earbuds. They do what the box says. The sound is ok, not great but ok. I got this earbuds on promo and I pay $100 on them, otherwise, I don't think they're worth $200. The two issues I got is the sound is ok and the transmission sometimes breaks constantly.

    Not so great

bought these about 6 months ago, and gave them a good trial run. The fit and comfort are great. However, they tend to lose connection, and the sound is less than great, to say the least. Battery life isn't all that good, and the volume isn't very good, either. While better than the cheap ones, I expected better from Samsung, especially for the money.

    improved but not great

I really wanted to love these, however they fall short of expectation. If my phone is in my left front pocket bluetooth will drop if I turn my head to the right. I have a pair of $40 bluetooth wireless earbuds that have better bluetooth reception. Really love the fact that it has internal storage. There is not way to control playback if you have an iphone. It will hold 1000 songs, however when you add them from your pc (if you have and iphone) it lists alphabetically. No shuffle option, you can only go forward or back via the earpod tap. There's no app for the iphone, hence not much functionality. Other than that, they work fine. I just don't get how there is no shuffle or playlist control on a $200 set of earbuds

    Constant Disconnections

Alright so I got these when I switched from my iPhone X over to the new S9+ (thinking my old Airpods weren't compatible). These turned out to be very, very suspect. I would get constant (odd) disconnections - such as I'd put my phone in my pocket and the headphones would disconnect. Or if I moved my phone around in my hand really any - things like that. It turned out that my Airpods worked with this phone and they of course did not disconnect at all. All and all, I like the design of the Gear Icon X, but the constant disconnected was a major deal breaker for me.

Cool concept, but returned them twice

I own several Samsung products to include the phone and the watch so I figured that this would be perfect to connect to both of my devices. The headphones were packaged very professionally and very neatly. Everything in the box was well packaged and easy to distinguish. The charging case is small and portable which makes it nice for carrying around in your pocket. The headphones themselves fit comfortably with the medium tips and offer good noise isolation which is great if you want to run outside when it's windy. The sound is great and clear, but not as great as the Bose Soundsport Free headphones which I bought after returning these. The swiping and tapping function on the headphone takes some getting used to but is a cool feature. Sometimes the headphones detect a swipe as a tap and a tap as a swipe. You just have to get used to them. The fact that you can put music files on you headphones is fantastic. That means that you can go running with just your headphones and don't have to take your phone or anything else. The Samsung connect/Gear app is cool to have because it tells you the songs that are on your headphones as well as the battery life of each headphone and which one is currently set up as the exercise coach. The exercise coach is a cool feature but I didn't use it that much but it's nice to have some "encouragement" during a workout. The first pair I bought I listened to in a noisy environment with no issues and I couldn't hear much of the surrounding noise unless I chose the ambient sound option on the headphones. HOWEVER, I took the right headphone out of my ear while listening to music instead of pausing it because it's easier and when I put it back in my ear, the sound for the right earbud was equal to half of the left. Resetting the headphones didn't work, nor did letting the battery drain. This was after the 3rd use of the headphones. I returned them and got my money back. The same thing happened to the second pair that I bought. For being $200 this should not happen twice within a week of purchasing the headphones. That's why I give this product a 1/5 stars. I really wanted these to work and really wanted to love them but listening to a song that's loud in one ear and quiet in the other is very frustrating.

Good sound and good noise cancelling; but won't stay in my ears. I actually lost 2 of them (same ear unfortunately!). But I liked them well enough that I went back and got the same set again. But when I lost the second one, I decided that was enough.

Won't last long and the warranty is worthless

I purchased the previous gen of this model last year and the left earbud just stopped working one day. I called support and spent and hour with them to no resolve... Finally they were about to send me new ones when they say, "oh whoops, your warranty was up a couple months ago. " Then proceeded to cheerily say, "You can purchase them at Samsung.com and are on sale for only $150!" What am I made of money? Barely a year passed and I never caused damage to these and they just quit working... but I apparently have to pay for they poor quality Samsung is clearly over charging for. NEVER will I EVER buy Samsung products again. Switching to Apple.

Starts off awesome, but ends in tradegy

I purchased the Iconx 2018 to listen to music in the gym and on my commute to work and school. They held up for about 3 weeks and then the volume level in the left ear bud went to 50% of it's original volume. After some research, I found that resetting them might fix the problem so I did so. Unfortunately that made the situation worst and now I have 50% volume of BOTH earbuds. After doing some further digging, I found that these problems have plagued this generation of Iconx since their release. I have a friend who is on his 3rd pair of Iconx 2018s and this problem has occurred AGAIN on his new set. In summary, DO NOT BUY these ear buds. Samsung should recall the Iconx 2018s and address this issue.

    Had to return

Volume/connection wasn't consistent in both ears before the left one eventually went almost completely dead. I've sent them back to Samsung under the warranty and am awaiting something back. The fitness tracker and ability to put music on and listen w/o the phone proved fairly worthless when I had them.

    SECOND PAIR

    Posted .

I LOVE Samsung, I have the phone, the TV's, whatever it is, I trust them so why wouldn't I with headphones? Also I'm a techie so I know how to work things pretty well. BUT, I am now on my second pair of these headphones!! The first pair had a very common left earbud low volume problem. So I returned them, not happy but no big deal. But now after going through shipping and everything, after not even A WEEK I'm having the same extremely low volume problem with on the new pairs right earbud. So I go to try and reset them, I unpair and forget in Bluetooth. Suddenly, the cases pair mode no longer works. So the headphones have now become useless other than than listening to the preloaded songs at uneven volumes! I bought the second pair because I really wanted to love these, so much so. But I can't do this a third time.

    Horrible quality

At first this product was flawless, although after owning them for 3 months they start to clog and you have to look at removing the screen to clean them out etc which is risky....to add too that, I've now had them 5 months (they wouldn't let me return or trade in at 3 mo due to having them too long even as a premium member) they constantly pause, unsync, flicker on and off ALLLLLLL THE TIME. I will not be buying these again and will be getting air pods synced to my android next time instead. (just make sure to have a friend with an iPhone to preset your functions)

    I keep hoping for change.....

Because I love the Samsung brand in so many other products I keep hoping they will eventually make a wireless headset I will be pleased with. Well they have not arrived yet. One of the wireless earbuds wouldn't charge after only 1 week after purchase. Unfortunately this seems to be the normal with all my experiences with all wireless earbud products by Samsung. Additionally.....if you go beyond the 14 days return policy, you are stuck with the brand, because they will only offer you a refurbished exchange....and then, it's like groundhog day....you get a pair that has the same defect and you just keep returning them...every 6-10 weeks (Samsung timeline for exchanges). Some day is my hope.....SOMEDAY!

The touch controls are too sensitive. Not good for working out, cannot even wipe your face or head and if your towel hits the earbuds...you are stopping the music or fast forwarding. Controls need to click, not touch. The Jabra Elite Sport is much better option

Bought at Christmas. I only use at my desk and the volume on the right ear bud is at a whisper. I used a different pair of ear buds to make sure my hearing was OK, but it's just the IconX that is having the problem. This is unacceptable.

I was very excited for these as I am a Samsung fan. These headphones are very sensitive and will pause sometimes after walking a few steps. Three weeks after buying them brand new one ear bud is now playing lower than the other.
