Samsung has lied about battery life.

So if the headphones are not connected to your phone the battery life is 4 hours if they are attached to the phone it is an hour and a half battery life. I don't know about them being attached the phone and having 1.5 hours of batter life I would say no. Also not attached to the phone they battery life is not 4 hours. The right one lasted for about 3 hours and the left one lasted for about 3 hours. Samsung missed it on this one like the note 7.

    More Work Than They're Worth

These are an interesting concept but for me, I still prefer over ear or on ear headphones. These have a lot of small pieces without wires that have the potential to be easily misplaced. Also, to use without your phone you need to transfer music to the earbuds via usb. Transferring files is something I hate to do, and I don't like having to do it once from my computer to my phone, then again from my phone to my earbuds.

    Disappointment...

I have the original Jaybird Bluebuds X and decided it was time to get some new headphones. I read about the poor battery life of the Icon X's but decided to give it a try anyway. Well, I never got that far. First they need to run the Samsung app on the phone if you hope to pair, they won't pair like regular BT. They can play without a phone so I decided to ditch the phone and go for a run. However, during my run the Left just stopped working 2 min in so I finished the run listening to one headphone. Got home and it started working again and three minutes later stopped again. Both batteries were green and fully charged. Returning tomorrow and waiting for something better to come along.

    Good while they lasted...

Received these as a nice gift, and was super excited about them because I am a runner. Loaded them up with my running music, and then started to wear them around the house to play with them a bit. Sound is okay...nothing amazing...however they did start to hurt after about 45 mins of use where they rest on the back of your ear. The deal breaker for me is the phantom power drain. The case is also a battery powered charging unit, so each time you put them back in the case they get topped up with juice...cool. However if you don't plug the case in and leave the earbuds in the case...after a day and a half they are dead. The last straw was I knew I was going for a run in the morning so I plugged them in before going to bed...woke up...put on my running gear...plopped in these earbuds and received the voice notification..."only 2% power remaining". WTH? I had them plugged in and they are dead? Back to Best Buy and I ordered the Jabra set...yes more expensive but fit waaaaay better and over double the battery life.

    Great For S7 Edge

I needed a Bluetooth Earpiece for my Samsung S7 Edge. Works great for calls/general audio. Ambient Sound pass-through is great. Added bonus of the charging case and built in memory for music makes this a must.

Very Poor Samsung Gear IconX Earbuds Wireless

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Very Disappointed in Gear IconX Wireless bluetooth Earbuds. Only after 4 months the battery life of the earbuds decreased from 55 minutes, which is a very poor battery life, to around 40 minutes and the charging case would not stay closed to the point I had to tape it shut so it would charge the earbuds. After paying $199 at Best Buy and forfeiting my $60 credit I built up for a not so good product, I contacted Samsung for a replacement and they sent me a defective refurbished pair. I contacted Samsung again and asked for a refund and have gotten nothing but put off for a week now. The only thing I have received from Samsung is them promising a call from Headquarters to approve the refund, still no refund in sight.

iPhone user, and it works great. My first impression of the headphones is great. They lost a star due to sound volume and lapses in the Bluetooth connectivity. If there was an option for half a start that would have been it.

trying to get this thing to connect up via phone ( a Samsung Galaxy S8 plus by the way) Nothing seemed to work. Phone says it is connected but can't transfer any music. Tried by PC app and one bud seemed to connect up but not the other. Going back to Best Buy as soon as I can get around to it. I am willing to go with my Bose over the ear bluetooth or in ear wired and just deal with the chord. If you want hours of frustration go ahead and by these things

They are amazing!! They have 4gb of memory so you can download music right them. Or you can keep em synced to your phone and have access to all your music. They monitor your heart rate too so you can keep it in check during vigorous exercise! They monitor you activity levels so you know how far you have gone. I was so into my walk I forgot I was wearing ear buds!

    Do Not Buy for Apple

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

These DO NOT work on apple. They WILL play music but the sound is nothing to write home about. All the Health features (the reasons I bought them in the first place) DO NOT work on apple devices. Samsung will not provide the app for IOS devices and therefor they are nothing more than $200 wireless earbuds. Also, I asked the Best Buy rep if they worked with Apple and he told me YES, they work GREAT with Apple. Not I have to drive another 45 minutes to return them and then 45 minutes back home.

I was so excited to hear of these because they were wearless.Complete waste of money. The battery runs out before my workout is done and I have to use my old Dre Beats.Has not yet told me my heart rate while working out like on the commercial.Moves in my ears even after changing the earpieces. So disappointed!?

The features included in these headphones are unsurpassed. The in ear heart rate monitor is a brilliant idea. However, the sound quality leaves so much to desire that I had to return them. The low end frequencies are almost completely missing. Thanks to Best Buy's generous return policy, I was able to return these, no questions asked. If you are an enthusiast of full sound quality, do yourself the service of listening to these headphones before purchasing them.

    Horrible Battery Life

These buds sound great but only last for 30 mins....my workouts last @ two hours but after 30 min auto shutoff occurred. To improved the battery life I downloaded songs onto the buds, they still died after 35 min. Returned them immediately....Increase the battery life and you've got a great product.

Never got this to work right

I got this to pair with my Samsung Note 5 a couple of times. The Samsung guy at Bestbuy got it to pair once. Both times there was a "Connection Lost" message from the ear buds within a minute or so of pairing. I liked the way they sounded while they were paired, and the ability to control volume and track fwd and back was nice, if a bit difficult. No doubt using these more would have given me more practice using the controls. They fit well and didn't feel like they would fall out. The lack of usability however makes this a 1 star for me.
