Super great product. Highly recommended. As a busy mom with a Note 4 it's great to have the watch to review updates and take calls.

We decided we liked the Apple watch better than the Samsung Gear S, because the Apple watch is much more user friendly, so to speak. Enough that we are more than willing to pay the higher price for the Apple watch, which is roughly an additional $130.00. Plus the fact that with the Samsung Gear, it is only compatible with At&t phone service, and we are verizon customers. So this alone is a huge factor in choosing between the Samsung Gear s and the Apple watch. At least it is for us.

It's a watch. It should always show the time. It has a setting to always show the time, it's buried in the menu system. When you finally find it and enable it, the simple act of wearing a coat or jacket causes the watch to call people, play music, any function the watch is capable of performing. It should require the user to press the button on the front to enable swiping on the watch face. I can only wear the watch on fair weather days when a jacket is not really required.

GOOD: Free up a pocket... now I can leave the smartphone at home and use this device for answering phone calls anywhere (some comment that there is no privacy - 1st-other people listen if they want when you are talking with someone in person so it doesn't bother me; 2nd-you can use the bluetooth (which I have) if the privacy is so important, overblown complaint in most cases in my opinion). I think you can use the phone number assigned to the watch to do everything, but I am not sure about this. All my notification, emails, texts are forwarded the watch from my smartphone which is in the car or at home when I am traveling abouts. 2" screen with great resolution is a plus rather than the round ones or smaller ones. You can do the typing but I mainly use it for the phone and consuming information and for that it is GREAT. It took me about a month to get used to it, but it is an essential go-to tool for me now. When I am traveling, I have my Samsung 10" tablet from T-Mobile to do the typing, etc. This device has other good features like find my car, voice recorder, weather, music, schedule from my google calendar, calculator, alarm, map voice direction, etc. Health I don't use, but it could be good for the fitness or diet people. NEED WORK: Some more practical real-world apps that can be used in the 2" screen. Hangouts, Kakao, WhatsApp could be very useful (we use Hangouts in the business for the individual and group meeting - people in US and Overseas). Partner with other high-end watch or watch band makers to allow more choices. Battery connection for charging - it is cumbersome and difficult to snap on and off (I finally got the hang of it 3 weeks later, but it is still stupid. Sometimes looses connection between the smartphone and the watch when switching automatically from bluetooth (when devices are nearby) and cell signal (when far away).

Keeps disconnecting from my phone. Battery dies faster than my phone.

I can't have my phone on me at work, but I can wear a watch. I get every notification. Perfect.

As soon as I left the store watch started giving me problems. Exchanged watch twice, third time this watch malfunctioned I asked for refund .This product has hardware glitch Samsung not telling people about this problem.

Good watch. Have gotten it wet many times and it still works great.

The battery cradle broke in less than 3 months. Best buy does not stand behind their products and Samsung will only replace the product possibly after a 15 day period of sending it back for a evaluation. This is only maybe.

The 1st watch had the charger break and this one had the back of the watch where the charger connects to break. Very disappointing for such an expensive item. Make sure you buy a warranty.

My hubby got this for me as a gift and I couldn't be happier! The curve screen is gorgeous and the display is crisp, clear, and vibrant! I am all about customizing and to be able to create my own watch face is an added bonus! I can email and text back using this watch. The qwerty keyboard is pretty accurate as well. I had the Gear 2, loved it, but love this one about a million times more. You can also transfer pics and music from your phone to your watch. It took me awhile to get used to it from the Gear 2 because there are so many features compared to the Gear 2 but now I can't be without my Gear S. The speaker phone is also crisp and clean. My family members didn't realize that I was chatting with them through my smart watch. Super convenient since I am always running around and can't always get to my phone on time. If I had to complain, I would just complain that the watch strap is expensive and doesn't come in a lot of colors. Other than that, LOVE my Gear S!!
