Mine came with only 528gb of data already written. This is not bad, as compared to a previous purchase where 1.4 TB had already been written. The speeds are as expected from Samsung's specification, so no worries there. I used Samsung's magician to check everything, and all the benchmarks were passed. Very pleased.

Value SSD for mild gaming PC

Formatted and cloned on first try. Used for sons PC. Won't be constantly writing to HD anyhow. Luck of the draw what you get.

If you need a good drive to freshen up your aging laptop I’d recommend these drives at this price. I didn’t use Samsung’s disk migration utility so I can’t tell you if the free trial came included like a new part.

Use a tool like CrystalDiskInfo (for Windows) or DriveDx (for Mac) to analyze the drive. I would still recommend though thanks to these tools giving you visibility into what you are buying.

I found this at Best Buy at a discounted price and decided to give it a try. It was working as described. So far, my computer gives me no more problems since then.
