After only 3 weeks this drive is causing my computer freeze, crash and blue screen. No ability to exchange and the geek squad member I spoke with was rude and told me exchange was not possible. This is an absolute scam, $140 for a dying drive.

A little pricey but was easy to install into my PS5

I only have experience with WD SN series and the samsung ssd…. Both perform well.. i cant tell the difference but im sure the samsung is just a little better.

Great NVme/M2 drive, paired two of them in raid0 for the OS, user data partition & most played games partition...you wont regret this drive

Perfect for ps5. Reads at correct speeds so no pesky messages about games not being able to play due to slow read speeds.

Worked totally fine and registered as having 2 TB of storage. No false advertising here.

I purchase a lot of refurbed items since they usually work just fine and was excited to receive this based on the price and features, Unfortunately, that quickly disappeared when I installed it. It runs at Gen 3 speeds, not Gen 4, no matter what I do via hardware or software. The drive exhibited the same symptoms in a 2nd system as well. I'm not sure whoever at BB tested this upon return, but it doesn't appear they did more than see if a system booted/recognized it. I'm sure a new one at full speed would be worth every penny, but this turned into a very expensive Gen 3 drive.

When first received this item there was nothing visible from the surface that would say it was defective, but once I installed I would error message after error message. I ended up running in in multiple computers, but still just errors. Geek Squad needs better quality control when it comes to refurbished products.

The one I received was dead on arrival. So I cant recommend it. Was easy enough to return for full credit though.

I bought two of these same drives, when i installed them in my computer to update the firmware i stumbled upon a surprise. One of them was fine and the 2tb the other one was a freaking 250gb drive. Geeksquad people are incompetent as to when they test these returned drives they need to see the capacity or if they have been tampered with. Be aware of these geeksquad certified products.

Freezing my pc on start up but i bought a refurbished. Sadly my warranty 7-17-24 i was thinking i had 30days

When I got the open box it was only 1TB. i was able to return it.

Got the correct box with the wrong product inside it came with a 1tb 970 instead of the 2tb 980 good thing i got a refund

I did not receive the Item I bought. I returned it and got my money back. But there was a different item in the box.

The SSD would become undetectable every time I boot up and I'll have to restart the PC to solve this problem every single time

Someone put a 980 PRO sticker onto a heavilly used 970 EVO already giving smart errors.

Ok, so I ordered this for my PC at $105. It’s been functioning pretty well and everything works good! However, when I first plugged it in I was having trouble in the Bios. It kept on appearing as “RAID” as opposed to just standard “NVME.” This led to some issues when trying to install the windows operating system onto the ssd during setup. It wouldn’t appear as a bootable device. My theory is that (since it’s refurbished) it was used in a previous RAID system (multiple storage units acting as one) and when it was being wiped this particular setting of the bios wasn’t switched. This would explain its funky behavior, as the SSD was having a little bit of an identity crisis as it was now separated from the rest of its original RAID configuration. My dad figured out how to reset this setting back to NVME and now it works completely perfectly! Also, by the way, in windows it will show up as 1.81 TB because windows measures stuff as TiB, now TB, but still labels it TB. If you wanna know more watch a video on the difference between the two units. If anyone has questions please ask me! I love talking about this type of stuff :D
