They discard one of three pairs of tips (whatever the previous owner used), so the description here is false. My box came literally falling apart and taped with three different kinds of take. I soon learned why. The case was scuffed to garbage level, and the right earbud had a very low but distinct power hum. These are fantastic earbuds... when new... and they shouldn't have any hum.
