Samsung HW-A459 with sub woofer

Was able to hook up system fairly easy using the optical. About 3 months later. The sounds shuts off about every 20 minutes for about 30 to 45 seconds. I cant seem to figure it out. Went on line and there is a lot of reviews about this issue. Reviews say it cant be fixed. Samsung is aware of the problem but does nothing to resolve. So frustrating. Im thinking on returning itto best buy. If they will take it back. 7 months old.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung HW-A450 Soundbar and for your review. We appreciate your feedback regarding the volume of your soundbar. Simply changing the Digital Output Audio Format to PCM can help improve the volume. You may want to try changing the Digital Output Audio Format to PCM.
If your Digital Output Audio Format isn't set to PCM, for instance if you have a Dolby option selected, then you will likely notice decreased maximum volume. Dolby options are designed for surround systems (like 3.1.2 or 7.1), whereas PCM provides great sound quality for stereo speakers.
If you don't have a surround system, you will probably want to select PCM. You'll get much louder volume that way, and potentially better sound quality.

Very Frustrating Set-Up

Primarily, it is out of sync with the T.V. resulting in a major "echo" if I do not shut off the TV sound, and, vidio and audio remain out of sync regardless. Also, I cannot get full utilization out of the remote as from 10' power and mute is all I'm able to control. And finally, cannot sync up the sub-woofer at all even tho' I"m getting all the indicated lights during set up????

Thank you for purchasing the HW-A450 Soundbar and for sharing your experience with the setup and sound delay. If the video on the TV and audio from the Soundbar are not synchronized, select SYNC in SOUND CONTROL (looks like a gear), and then set the audio delay between 0~300 milliseconds by using the Up/Down buttons.
Additionally, 2020/2021 Samsung TVs have a feature called Audio Pass-Through. You can utilize this feature on your Samsung TV to correct your audio-sync issue. On your TV go to: Settings > Audio > Expert Settings > Digital Audio Output Format > Pass-Through
If the autoconnection process of the subwooer fails, you can manually connect the subwoofer using the steps below:
1. Press and hold ID SET on the rear of the subwoofer for at least 5 seconds.
• The red indicator on the rear of the subwoofer turns off and the blue indicator blinks.
2. Press and hold the Up button on the remote control for at least 5 seconds.
• The ID SET message appears on the display of the Soundbar for a moment, and then it disappears.
• The Soundbar will automatically power on when ID SET is complete.
3. Check if the LINK LED is solid blue (connection complete). The LINK LED indicator stops blinking and glows a solid blue when a connection is established between the Soundbar and the Wireless Subwoofer.

I'm satisfied with it - the music sounds good. Some stations don't put out quality sounds, so the sound bar just replicates their sound.

Terrible product

No way to connect to auxiliary audio out of TV with common jack. Sound is out of sync with picture. Remote is horrible and equally horrible (lack of) instructions. Only way I have figured out to adjust anything is via manual buttons on soundbar which are basically invisible. I will return it. Do not buy.

Random Weird Loud Noise

For my first soundbar it is much better than my tv's sound. My biggest problem with it is that every so often it makes a really loud noise that sounds like a fire station alarm. My autistic son who is sensitive to loud noises freaks out and it messes up the rest of his day. I'm not sure how geek squad would fix it if it.

Decent but defective product

Unfortunately mine did not last more than two weeks and will need to be returned. I am having an issue where the volume is constantly decreasing as if someone is physically holding down the "-" button. I have tried removing the remote batteries, factory resetting the bar, disconnecting from the TV and this volume issue will not go away.
