Samsung - HW-B650/ZA 3.1 Channel Soundbar

The center speaker makes voices easier to hear in the newer movies with all the drama music.

The center channel in the bar makes a huge difference and i like the night made on it. Come sooth everything you need to install in the box. No need to run out and buy anything extra.

Thank you for taking a few moments to review the Samsung HW-B650 Soundbar.
When powered on for the first time, the subwoofer should automatically connect to the soundbar wirelessly. If the auto-connection process fails, you can try manually connecting the sub to the soundbar.
Before performing the manual connection procedure, check whether the power cables for the Soundbar and subwoofer are connected properly and make sure that the Soundbar is turned off.
Press and hold ID SET on the rear of the subwoofer for at least 5 seconds. The red indicator on the rear of the subwoofer turns off and the blue indicator blinks. Press and hold the Up button on the remote control for at least 5 seconds. The ID SET message appears on the display of the Soundbar for a moment, and then it disappears. The Soundbar will automatically power on when ID SET is complete. The LINK LED indicator stops blinking and glows a solid blue when a connection is established between the Soundbar and the Wireless Subwoofer.

Its just like having a theater right in your home. You can also listen to music from your phone while cleaning which is a plus.

The hookup was easy on my Samsung TV. The woofer adds a new sound dimension.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you are one of those that has issues understanding dialogue thru your TVs built-in speakers, this Samsung soundbar is amazing. Our 65" Samsung TV had a terribly irritating whistle with words with 'S' in them. At times i thought it was the smoke alarm in 'chirp mode'. That is completely gone with this soundbar. Its too bad other soundbars havn't figured out how to do this. The reason for the 3 stars is, after reading all the reviews, i was also expecting live concert sounding music shows. Not happening. My previous 3 letter soundbar had far too much bass but dialogue was muddy, no matter what sound mode i put it in. This Samsung is pretty good at low to mid level volume settings but for rock concerts, there's just no depth or midrange, even with the center channel maxed out. Ive moved the sub all around the room and tried every possible option with the remote and it leaves me wanting. Maybe the room is cursed. My origional 5.1 reciever/tower speakers/center and rear speakers was embarassing. I thought a high-powered soundbar and huge sub woofer would fill the bill but that too was aweful. Way too much bass and no midrange or depth. Lead guitar and horns almost didnt exist. Im not one of those that has to have chest-crushing bass with movies or music but i thought this unit, in a mid-sized living room would give a more lifelike sound. Fortunately, 85% of my viewing experience is older movies and documentaries so the excellent voice delivery is its saving grace. Thank you Samsung for giving some thought to those with compromised hearing for dialogue.

There are a few different ways you can optimize your Soundbar. We do recommend using a HDMI cable as this will offer the best audio and user experience available. If you have not tried to adjust the 7-band EQ, press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons. (Make sure the Sound mode is set to “STANDARD”).
